Concealers -Smashbox - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener
rated 3 of 5

It does brighten up undereye circles- but my undereyes felt inflamed, as if I were having an allergic reaction to someone and my eyes had swollen-- but the affect was only on the undereyes. Maybe I am allergic to something in this product, but I do like the final result in photographs.

Primer/ Corrector -Korres - Silicone-Free Face Primer
rated 2 of 5

It works well- but immediately turns my face bright red, bad packaging, smell is strong, but it is a less expensive primer and a good to-go pick as long as you don't have the reaction I do to it.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Nymphette lipglass
rated 3 of 5

I purchased this because my MAC counter was out of Prr that day, and it appeared to be a close match. Though Nymphette is beautiful in its own right- it definitely does not compare to Prr for my fair skin. It has a major gold undertone, which I think would be lovely on darker skin tones. Beautiful colour, just not the one for me.

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse
rated 5 of 5

Maybelline's Dream SMOOTH Mousse kicked me off my designer only foundation horse and made me see the light. There are good drugstore foundations out there-- they are few and far between, but they exist. The name couldn't be more telling of how this product performs, with my 182 this foundation blends like a dream and leaves my skin looking luminous and looks just as great as some of my $50 bottles of messy liquid. I'm so glad I gave this product a chance. Best $7 I've spent in a long time.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 4 of 5
MyChanelScalpel 8/12/2010 5:06:00 PM

I like that this is pretty compact as opposed to the UD palettes in the past, and the shades included are divine in the box. However, the shade I was most intrigued by- Sidecar- turned out to be the dud of the bunch, sprinking glitter all over my face throughout the day. The rest of the shadows being buttery smooth and blendable make up for this though. The 24/7 duo liner glides like a dream and the mini primer potion is a nice touch (but really, who doesn't have a UDPP at this point?) This would be a lovely beginner set, especially as it is cost friendly at only $44.

Cleansers -Christian Dior - Purifying Wash-Off Cleansing Foam
rated 1 of 5

So disappointed in this "cleanser". Although it has a lovely scent, it left my skin feeling dehydrated and gross. Not something I would ever recommend. Bummer, because their hydra life cream is top of the line. Bottom line is that I expected more from a $30 wash.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+

Toner in a bottle, doesn't actually set your makeup but I do like how it distributes evenly. I use it on brushes when I want to foil eyeshadows. $18 is an expensive alternative to a $1 spray bottle of water, but I made the mistake and bought it so I may as well utilize it in some way.
