Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Brow Stencils
MomColors 4/19/2008 10:30:00 PM
I bought this off of HSN 2 years ago. I just looked on her website and it costs $100. The kit on HSN was less than $50. It came with brow powders, pencil, stencils and mirror. I've tried other brow make up and it doesn't work for me. I use her pink pencil on my brow bown and on the inner corner of my lid. I quickly swipe the powder into my brow and it's perfect every time. I don't use the stencils. I am toooo lazy. They work too I just don't have time for them. They are great as a plucking guide. I won't purchase again because $100 is out of budget for my eyebrows.

Eye Shadow -Prescriptives - Eye Shadow Refillable Compact
MomColors 4/19/2008 10:24:00 PM
I bought this 3 years ago and I'm still using it! This is my go to every day. I try others and come back to this one over and over and over again. You get a ton of product in it. Medium is the name of the compact it has 4 colors shimmery style pink gold and mauve and a matte brown. It has outlasted any Lancome eye shadow I ever bought. I will be buying it again and again.

Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover
MomColors 4/19/2008 10:14:00 PM
How can this get anything but 5 lips? I get these in kits. I love them. They take off mascara, eye make up in one swish. It's gentle and not drying. I love this stuff. This is the only remover I have ever used for over 15 years and will never switch. Under eye is too important to play with when you have a winner!!!

Toners -Lumene - Radiant Touch with Arctic Cloudberry Moisturizing Toner
MomColors 4/19/2008 10:12:00 PM
This one gets 3 lips because it says moisturizing and it's not. If it didn't say that on the front of the bottle I might give it 4 lips. This toner is absolutely for the under 40 crowd unless you have oily skin or something like that. I found it very drying. I didn't like it. If I had oily skin I think I might like it very much.

Crème -Lumene - Time Freeze Instant Lift Make Up
MomColors 4/19/2008 10:06:00 PM
Time Freeze Instant Lift Make Up is unbelievable when combined with the Time Freeze day cream. I was in shock. Put on the Day Cream, let it dry. Then go over it with this foundation. It truly sits on top of my skin. It doesn't get into my pores and wrinkles like any other high end or low end foundation I have ever used. It's really incredible. The package is great with the squirt bottle. It provides, light to medium coverage. If you are a complete coverage foundation girl this one isn't for you. On the downside the bottle is very slender so there isn't a lot of product. So get it on sale with the day cream and it's a winner. I found it at CVS.

Treatments (Eye) -Lumene - Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Stick
MomColors 4/19/2008 9:56:00 PM
I never bought this: I put it on at the drugstore and checked it out an hour later. It was greasy and created milieu around my eyes. I completely disliked this stick thing. I can't see it working under make up. I don't see how it would work at night to moisturize. IMHO this one is s dud!

Moisturizers -Lumene - Time Freeze Firming Day Cream
MomColors 4/19/2008 9:53:00 PM
I'm torn between 3 and 4 lippies on this one. It's a pricey product (for the drugstore) and I haven't noticed any firming. Definitely pick it up on sale. Where this really shines is putting this on, letting dry and then going over it with the Time Freeze foundation. I loved it!!!! It didn't settle into my pores and lines. (40+ year skin) The foundation match was terrific color-wise even though there are just a few choices. It's a terrific combo which makes me want to give the cream 4 lips. The cream by intself I don't think is anything special. Maybe it's more of a primer?

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Revitalift UV [DISCONTINUED]
MomColors 4/19/2008 9:46:00 PM
This line of products has as many names as L'oreal has products. The one I am reviewing is Advavnced Revitalift Complete Lotion with SPF 15 sunscreen Fragrance Free- that was a mouthful. I use this as a Day Cream. It is a great drugstore product, not too light and not too heavy. I generally despise creams with SPF. I know I am supposed buy everything with SPF for anti-aging but some of them stink. This one is terrific. If I am in a hurry I grab it and squirt some into my hand, the pump works great. It spreads nicely. Make up goes on beautifully over it. I do let it dry for 5 minutes or so. I highly recommend this for a light daytime moisturizer. As for any promises the company is making about it I didn't check those or care about them. I just wanted a nice cream. It receives 5 lippies because it's a nice balance of price and product and the package rocks.

Moisturizers -Serious Skin Care - 2-million IU vitamin A cream with Retinol
MomColors 4/19/2008 9:38:00 PM
I've been using this cream at night and find it softens my skin. It's one of the better creams I've tried. I like squeezing a tube instead of dipping into a jar. I was using the Loreal aging cream and that was making my pores clogged. This does a great job. It is moisturizing without being heavy. If you are very dry you might need something a little heavier. I haven't noticed any scent at all but I don't mind scents anyways unless they are fruity. This came as part of a kit.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Sally Hansen Extra Strength Cream Hair Remover for Face
MomColors 4/18/2008 11:51:00 AM
This product worked pretty well for me a couple of years ago. But I had to use it over and over again in just one session to get rid of hair on my face so I "upgraded" to the leg creams. They work faster so my skin does not dry out. All in all I think they changed the forumation on this product because doesn't remove black or white hair for me. Major thumbs down on this one. I HATE the applicator.

Using on Face. I am using this on my chin hairs in selected spots. I can dab it on because it comes out of a tube. I have to leave it on 6 minutes instead of the 3 they say to. But it works and the tube is 10X better than the brush on. I like this because I can do this every day in on or two spots so it doesn't dry out my entire lip/chin areas because of the way I have to use them.

Treatments -Matrix - Matrix Color Smart Hair Mask
MomColors 4/18/2008 11:42:00 AM
I have been home coloring my hair for years. This is a once or twice a week treatment I use for my hair to calm down the frizziness afer blow drying. It's not the best I have ever used but I like it. I used it right after I colored my hair. My hair was so SILKY afterwards. You get quite a bit of product, also have to use a lot of product and my hair is bob length thin hair. All in a nice go to if you want an intense treatment. I would not use this every day.

Lips -Sally Hansen - Lip Inflation Extreme
MomColors 4/17/2008 12:09:00 PM
Oucheee!!! This stuff stings when going on. I've used it for a couple of months and notice no difference. The price was $10 which is a little pricey for Sally if you know what I mean. Its a nice gloss but that's about it. I am using clear. Others seem to like it. I don't. I HIGHLY recommend Sally's Lip Peptide for $10 instead. I put it on at night and see a difference the next day. You have to keep using it.

Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis Fortifying Shampoo - Fine Hair
MomColors 4/17/2008 1:34:00 AM
It's ok as far as drugstore shampoos go. It's wallet friendly and doesn't dry out your hair too much. Not my favorite but I would buy it again in pinch if I left home without my Biosilk. I don't like the cap.

Primer/ Corrector -Paula Dorf - Perfect Primer
MomColors 4/17/2008 1:25:00 AM
What was this supposed to? All it did was create a nice layer of white on my skin. The saleslady said "your foundation sits on top of your primer." Yeah right! This stuff is overpriced junk. Don't buy it. Or at least bring it back quick if you see it doesn't work.
