Polishes -Revlon - ColorStay - Marathon Mauve #260

This is about as true a Mauve as you can get! Very neutral and professional without being a sheer. Application is what you'd expect from this line, a little thick especially the second coat. Great lasting power. Love this line.
This is a shimmery VERY light silver blue. I agree that it is much more silver on the nails than the bottle would have you believe. It is sheer even with 3 coats. I don't hate it, but will have to think about how it fits into my collection. I've re-classified as a silver shade and we'll see how much I reach for it. If you are looking for a pale blue shade this is NOT it. If you want a silver/blue this is perfect.
Aphrodite's Pink Nightie is decidedly blue-pink and frosty, but flirts with orchid. The outcome is, in certain light you see more orchid and at other times it's deep pink. Very unusual but pretty and definitely girly but still could be worn in a professional office environment. This one is not sheer, 2 coats on my nails and the coverage is complete. It applied well, but in my experience, frosty shades need to be applied a bit more concisely and with care. I like it very much and I'm sure it will get alot of use as it's a color that would be appropriate all year long.
I guess it must be my skin tone (PPP with neutral to cool undertones), but Fireflies is neon yellow irredescence on my nails. The more coats I layer the more yellow it looks. It is sheer and subtle and very opal-like, but it does remind me of the yellow bioluminescence of a firefly. I do however like using this layered over other colors, especially creams that you might want to make more frosty. It's especially nice over pinks and will make blues look more green.
It is very hard to describe this color. Pearly, abalone shell, silvery white but with flashes of green, blue even pale violet depending on the light. The best part of this color is when it hits bright light or sunlight and then you really see the holographic effect. This is a sheer and I use 3 thin coats to build it to the color effect I like. VERY nice polish that I will use alot and would re-buy (if I didn't have so many nail colors already!)

This is THE nail color I CANNOT live without. It is the perfect natural, well-groomed nails color. When I'm in doubt about an occasion or important meeting etc., this one is always perfect. It is sheer even with 2 coats and it just minimizes the flaws and adds enough pigment to make your nails look perfect. Easy to apply, the top coat is GREAT, dries fast and looks great. What more can I ask for? Keep making this one Revlon!
A nice medium rose pink. I don't detect any shimmer in this as others have noted. This will be a go to color when I want an understated but not sheer look. Works well with my pale neutral to cool undertones. Certainly not a unique color, more like an everyday staple. I experimented a bit since I wanted a more frosty look and after applying 2 coats of Rosey Posey, I added 1 thin coat of OPI Fireflies on top. I really like the effect.
Chanel polishes are elegant and have so much depth and dimension. They are quite expensive, so I pick my colors carefully. Pink Mink is a beautiful light pink-beige buildable sheer without the chalkiness that some pale pinks develop on the nail. Like many Chanel enamels, it goes on and looks like a cream but once in the sun or bright light you see an interesting suble silver shimmer. I guess I can see where some are seeing a peachiness, but on me it seems very much a pinkish beige tone. I have been looking for a color like this for a long time as usually pink-beige can look too skin toned for my liking and I can't wear most beige tones. This one is a winner on my light skin tone with neutral to pink undertones.
The offical Nicole description of this enamel is "Opalescent rose laced with spellbinding purple." And the description is correct. It is VERY sheer, but the opalescent shimmer is just beautiful. Very pretty and a way to wear purple hues in a subtle way.

As a reformed nail biter, I MUST wear polish of some sort at ALL times. I love using ColorStay Always On every other manicure because the system is quick to apply (no base coat) and to give my nails a break since these are formaldehyde and toulene free. My only complaint is that the color is MUCH thicker than any other polish I've ever used and it's difficult to get thin coats. The topcoat is amazingly easy to apply in contrast and has a very high shine. The color and topcoat dry extremely fast so I can get on with my day. I've never given them a test to see how long they last because I can't go more than 5-6 days without changing my polish as I get bored. But they DO last those 5-6 days VERY well. So far I have tried natural sheer (not a favorite color), Perpetual Pink Crystals (very nice shimmery medium pink), and Plumberry Everafter (a FROSTY shimmery plum berry and so far my favorite). I hope they continue coming out with new colors as these will always be a staple in my nail polish regimen.
I would classify this as more of a skin pink with a slight lean into lavender/taupe. It has a sublte shimmer. It is a nice shade, but a little too much like my skintone, not enough contrast. It's nice, but not one of my favorites.
This is a color in the Illusion collection that states they are ethereal colors for real women. Illusive's description by Nicole is: Pearl touched by gold for a whisper of color. That is pretty accurate. This is a VERY sheer color and would be difficult to build to opaque. There is a definite opalized irridescent gold sheen to this polish. Very pretty, but VERY subtle. Great for a professional conservative office environment.
There is no doubt about it. This is a sheer peach frost that is buildable to opaque. Just beautiful, subtle, and neutral. The surprise, as with all Nicole colors, is the shimmers of other colors you see in different light. Another great Nicole color!
This color is classified as a peach toned color by the Nicole website. Therefore I was expecting a coral peach type shade, which generally doesn't look good with my fair skin with neutral to slight pink undertones. I was pleasantly surprised to find Flirt Alert is a pink coral as opposed to an orange or apricot coral. It is really bright, but sheer with a very slight shimmer (barely there). It can be made opaque with 3 coats. It's one of those colors that I thought I would wear only on my toes, but do use on my nails when I want a brighter summery look. A real surprise winner.
I am pretty fair, but do tend to tan in the summer (yes even with sunscreen, we have a big yard to mow!). Mysterious is just gorgeous weather I'm pale or a bit tan. It's sheer pink with an iridescent, opalized green shimmer in the right light. This is a very sheer color and would not be easy to make opaque even with many coats. It is from the Nicole Illusion collection which states they are ethereal colors for real women. Very true. I purchased all of the colors in this collection and love them all. They are sheers with an edge.
