I am PPP, pale irish skin that burns easily/never tans. This stuff is the BEST most NATRUAL looking BROWN self tanner I have ever used in 15+ years. I was skeptical after reading some bad reviews, so I didn't purchase this, I swapped for it. I took an MUAer's advice and used eucerin intensive repair lotion for 7 days before attempting this. The lotion has something in it that exfoliates your dead skin pretty much while you sleep. I did not shower the day of using this. I showered the night before. I shaved and I moisturized with REGULAR lotion, not the exfoliating lotion. The next afternoon I applied this with rubber gloves. It goes on looking like pudding, similar to Toma's. It APPEARS to be streaking, but it's NOT. That's just the color guide streaking. It dries fairly quickly compared to most pudding-like tanners. I took off gloves and applied to back of my hands and tops of feet with makeup sponge. Also be sure to go lightly on knees and elbows. I forgot to mention that above. I put on old PJ's and slept in the stuff. I woke up looking like a brown sun goddess. IT WASHED OFF. At first I was disappointed. I put my clothes on and headed for my beach getaway and I planned on applying more at the hotel that night. Well that evening I got undressed and found I was darker! So I didn't apply anymore. Day 3...still a nice light brown BELIEVABLE color. Day 4...fading a tad like a natural tan. No patches, no flaking, no fish scales. Day 5...I put on a light layer of Jergen's gradual taning lotion in the morning and by 4pm I am looking a nice shade of brown again. This stuff ROCKS and I will be paying full price for this stuff if necessary! Pale skinned blondes and redheads===Run out and try this now. You won't be disappointed.
RUN....don't walk...to your nearest CCO and grab this while you can. This is the best peachy coral I have come across in along time. This is NOT orange. This is just gorgeous. Great shimmer but now over shimmery....just enough to make my lips look fuller. This has pretty good staying power without being too sticky. I bought 3 because that's all they would allow me to buy. I really wish I didn't have to hunt down these discontinued colors, but it's so worth it. I also found Beaute at the same CCO. They are a bit similar but Beaute is a tad bit orange and a bit more clear.
Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Towelettes in Medium
Luv_MAC 6/30/2008 11:38:00 AM
I consider myself to be an expert at self tanning. I have been doing it for well over 10 years. I have tried very expensive brands and DS brands that I find in wal-mart, etc. I've used spays, lotions, gels...light, medium, drak, extra dark. This was the first towelette I have used. I'm not impressed. I do not need a color guide to apply ST so that wasn't my problem. I started at my arms, then chest, stomach and back. Thengot a new towelette and did butt, legs, feet and hands. I came out streaky and orange. I think it streaked because as I got to my back I think the towelette had started to dry out. Myabe you should use 3 towelettes for the whole body? But according to the box you can use 1 for whole body. Well 1, 2 or 3 it doesn't matter because I'll never use these again. I'm Irish fair skinned with natural strawberry blonde hair and I burn in the sun. So I was super pale. Now I'm orange/tangerine colored. HORRIBLE. Maybe this was created for medium/olive skinned people? P.S. Wear gloves while holding the towelette. You can scrub your hands all you want afterward and they will still have an orange hue.
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Color Juice - Strawberry Smoothie

I love the color of this (peachy pink on me) but the application is terrible. This works best if I squeeze onto a lip brush and apply. Would be much better if this came as a wand applicator. For a DS gloss this lasts pretty long and gives good color and shine.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Cool Effect Shadow in Peach Daquri

I found this at Dollar Tree for a buck. Totally worth the dollar but don't know if I would have paid full price for this. It's very shimmery and after a few hours it looks oily. I do love the color....it shows up like a champagne peach on me (FFF NW15). Very easy to apply....much easier than diping my brush in MAC mixing meduim then blotting in eye shadow pot, then blend, blend blend. This is quick application and you can use it as a higlighter or all over color.

Ok, I found this at a Dollar Tree and figured it was worth trying for $1. WOW. This is better than MAC Blot in Light. This truly has no color, it doesn't change the color of your foundation, it doesn't feel chalky and doesn't cake up in the creases (laugh lines) when I smile. My only complaint was the applicator spongey thing it came with and the container was very small. I will be looking for this in a bigger size. If I can't find it I'm going back to buy 10 more of the small ones.
I have this in light. It's perfect for my pale skin. It's damn near white and it's transparent. I can use it to blot over any foundation and it won't change the color (covergirl transparent turns my foundation orange/dark). The price isn't too bad since I've had one compact for about 2 years now and still haven't used it all.
I bought this prmarily because it brought back memories. I used this when i was a child and pre-teen. It disappeared off the shelves for quite a few years. When it showed up one day at wal mart I was surprised. I opened the package in the car and applied....bot did it bring back memories!. I used to pile this stuff on hoping to get a quick peck on the lips from my crush. I think I was 12 or 13...and I love dit because it was makeup IMO because it gave me colored lips and my mother allowed it because it was just "chapstick" in her eyes. This is a great tasting, great smelling lipbalm gloss that gives my lips a nice strawberry color. I will continue to buy until they stop making it.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I have been using this for 2 years now. I hover between W1 and W2 depending on if I'm using gradual tanner in the summer. I have very dry skin and I always use a moisturizer under this. I like that you can adjust the coverage just by rubing in another layer. One layer alone I would say is light/medium coverage. Two layers is far more than medium coverage.
I like that this product line really uses 99% all natural ingredients...however, I really didn't like the smell of this...it bothered me to the point where I wiped it off several minutes later, and it felt rather waxy, not really moisturizing.

This is a great product. I tried it on my eyes and lips. It really does what it claims to do. Your m/u will stay put! I have now discovered MAC's pro longwear clear coat ...works great and it's more convenient because it's already attached to my gloss =)
Highlighters -Milani - Glimmer Stripes in Honey Glimmer
Luv_MAC 6/19/2008 9:11:00 PM
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these! This is my 2nd most favorite in the glimmer stripes. I can use as a blush if I sweep lightly (I'm PPP) and it gives me a nice color with a bit of shimmer. Whne I have a fake tan I can put a bit more on. But what I really love is that I can use 4 of the 5 stripes as eye shadows. This kicks some BB shimmer bricks butt!
Highlighters -Milani - Shimmer Stripes in Tahiti Tan

I loved these shimmer stripes so much I bought triples of some colors when they came out. I have this one and I'm a PPP, very pale. This gives me a light, slightly shimmery rosey glow...love this stuff. I thinks it's almost as good as BB shimmer bricks at a fraction of the cost.
yes, I went through a glitter phase in my life a few years ago. I have come to realize I might be too old to wear glitter on my eyes and lips as my 13 year old daughter made a comment to me one day....anyway...this is one of the only glittery things I can still wear on my eyes and not look like I'm trying to be a teenager. I wear it with Mythology, Peppier, Expensive pink, D'Bohemia, Love-bud....any of those work and I blend those with a bit of deckchair pigment. This makes my blue eyes POP and the glitter liner isn't as noticible right away like it would be wit peacoky or divine lime. It's a nice orangey bronze gold glitter. The only cons of this stuff is after about 6 hours it gets really dried up and cracks.
I'm a PPP Nw15 and this shows up on me as a golden peachy pink. More peach than pink with a lovely golden shimmer. It's veluxe pearl so it goes on velvety smooth and is very pigmented. A little goes a long way. This has been in my collection for quite sometime now. It was my HG for a long time but I got started on Mythology and peppier and sorta forgot about this color. Now that it's re-released with the neo sci-fi collection it brought it to my attention and I started using it again. I will probably go to the mall to get this in the cool orange pot! This is a great color.
