Polishes -Zoya - Sasha

This is one of my must haves, a very rich deep true red np. If you had to really strip down your nail polish collection for everyday life purposes, you only really need a few nailpolishes (if you're not a np fanatic ;) ); a light pale pink, a deep rich red, maybe a dark dark color like a dark brown/purple/black and a bright pink in all honesty. Sasha most definitely could be that standby rich red you reach for on your business trip for a dinner for example. I like that it's big 3 free. The consistency is good on this, (I've had several other Zoyas that are very goopy and thick in comparison) and reaches opaque in about 2 or 3 coats. Nice color, good shine, good wear.

Top/Base Coats -Poshe - Super-Fast Drying Top Coat

I love this. Used my Sally's card to get this for only $4.49. Dries quick, nails dried in under 5 minutes and toenails the same. I even put my shoes on a few minutes later and they were unmarked and perfect. Nice glossy finish. No shrinkage. Will buy again :)

Polishes -China Glaze - Liquid Leather

This goes on extremely smooth, no streaks or pulling. The black requires several coats to work it up to opaque. Compared to another black np I own, Zoya Raven, this is much smoother to apply, and also is truer brown based black that goes on sheer at first. Dried quick and very glossy. Like rich black patent leather lives up to the name.

Top/Base Coats -Orly - Top 2 Bottom basecoat and topcoat in one
L0llicandy 10/2/2008 12:55:00 AM
Fantastic. Used it when I was in high school because it was easy, relatively cheap and at my local drugstore. Thought I should graduate to a he topcoat with out the door and zoya (awful) top and base. They were all just a waste of money or terrible. This dries glossy and quick, and works just as well as base as top coat. Plus its available everywhere and is cheap, 2 for the price of one. Well worth it, and will buy again. Update: Well I've moved on and moved up....to Poshe! Dries much much faster and much glossier. Still an ok product, but you can get what I thought were "expensive" products like Poshe for cheap, cheaper than even this which was my major reason for not buying them. The one thing I still really like about Orly is the ease of application and the rubber grip handle and brush. But its still not enough to replace the 5 minute drying of Poshe and the gloss. 2nd Update: I just used this again because I was visiting my family for the holidays and found this in my old closet. It's sucks. Period. I must have been a total nail noob or something when I wrote that "Fantastic." My nails stared chipping off within a few days, and by day 2 I noticed that I had "cracks" in the polish on my nails. Poshe lasts ages compared to this, I guess I've been spoiled by it. I wouldn't buy this ever again.

Polishes -China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise 849237

Pretty emerald green color on me, not very turquoise at all. Maybe teal. Goes on smooth, 2 coats at least to show the color in the bottle. Dries to a weird matte finish. I always put top coat on so I get a glossy finish anyway. Very nice, just don't know if I really need this one, so not sure I would buy again. Fun color though.

Top/Base Coats -Zoya - armor and anchor
L0llicandy 9/15/2008 1:37:00 AM
Worst base coat and top coat I've ever had. Extreme unsightly bubbling all over nails, takes long to dry and still feels sticky. I used Armor and Anchor with Zoya nail polishes exclusively and the result was always the same: bubbles everywhere. Didn't matter if I soaked my nails; used nail polish remover beforehand; used cuticle oil before hand; did NOT soak, use remover or oil beforehand; let my hands dry for a long time before the next coat, or a short time. In short, I tried every tip and combo to make this work and it never did. I used it once as an experiement with non-Zoya polishes and it caused them to bubble too. Do not buy this.
