Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Skunkless Foptic Brush [DISCONTINUED]

This brush was really hyped up on the EDM forum, but when it was released there wasn't much excitement over it. I see now why - it's pretty difficult to use if you're not an expert at makeup application. The bristles are long and floppy, so much so that some people have suggested putting a hair elastic around the base to stiffen it up. I got it for $5 because EDM is clearing out their stock to get rid of it since it's not nearly as nice as their other brushes. It IS really soft, but mine sheds a ton, so I'm just not very happy with it.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Everyday Eye Shadow Brush

This brush came free in an eye shadow kit, so I'm glad I didn't buy it. It's flat and stiff and you'd have to use the flat side of it to put on eye shadow and makes a streaky mess. I generally use it to smudge liner on since there's no way I can put eye shadow on with it. I'm sure this works for people with more eye shadow experience but since I'm a makeup newbie it's far too unwieldly for me.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Angled Blush & Contour Brush

Another amazingly soft, non-shedding brush from EDM! I can't believe how ridiculously cheap their brushes are, and how incredibly they perform. I use this brush with my sparkly blushes and to highlight my cheeks. I like a lot of blush, but this really helps to give shape to cheeks and not over-do the color. It's really dense, so you only need a little product to get the desired effect.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Time Share
rated 4 of 5

I usually prefer shimmery blushes, but Time Share is so lovely even though matte. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror today when I was wearing it and I was surprised about how fresh-faced and youthful I looked. It's the most perfect pink - not too light or babyish, but not too dark either. It's matte, so it's even a bit subtle if you have a light hand. I layer Time Share on with a baby kabuki and I immediately have a warm glow.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Smokey Pink

I don't know how I ever lived without this eye shadow! it's pink, it's purple, it's mauve, it's just gorgeous. I pair it up with purples, greys, pinks, and it all blends in, or I can wear it on its own. It's got a hint of shimmer, but not too much so I can wear it as an all-over shade.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Anna Karenina

I've never worn blue eyeshadow because I have blue eye circles, but thanks to EDM's Pearl Beige concealer, I can actually wear this! This is a gorgeous gem-toned sparkly blue. I draw a thick line on my upper lashline dust it dry on my lower lashline. Fantastic, without looking tacky or cheap!

This was a special-release eyeshadow given out at the new year. It's a steel grey with a LOT of shimmer, so it looks almost like a dark silver color. It's a very unique shade and I love using it as eyeliner. I hope it gets re-released again soon because I'm running out!

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - lavender concealer

We asked...and Everyday Minerals re-issued this fantastic product! I use it to cover some ugly hyper-pigmentation that even lasers couldn't erase. I couldn't believe how my brown spots just disappeared with Lavender concealer. I stocked up in case it ever gets discontinued again.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Baby Kabuki Brush

I can't believe how much money I've wasted on other brushes before i found Everyday Minerals. This brush costs $6 (although I got it free in a blush kit), it's ridiculously dense, but still soft. I haven't seen a single bristle shed. It fits right into a sample jar lid so it's perfect for sample kits. I use it to apply blush, and it blends like a dream. I just bought a second one as a backup!

Edit: I can't be bothered with EDM anymore. Their formulas have all changed, so their new products are really shabby compared to what EDM used to sell.

Nice color, but really chalky so it doesn't apply smoothly.

I LOVE this color. I wear it on the crease and as liner with Veranda. It's a shimmery true purple!

This tri-color pallette is gorgeous, but it completely crumbled just sitting in my drawer

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Hot Chocolate
rated 5 of 5

I got this in EDM's Golden Globes Palette. It was a freebie, but it did come a bit crumbled, so that's why I marked down the packaging. BUT Hot Chocolate is a gorgeous subtle color with just a hint of shimmer. Perfect for natural make-up days.

Foundations -Everyday Minerals - Olive Fair
rated 1 of 5
KingTaco 2/4/2009 6:39:00 PM

Edit - EDM has reformulated this. The new formula has no zinc (which calms skin) and added chromium oxide greens (which breaks skin out). This stuff is really awful compared to the old formula - it looks the same, but it wears off super-quick and leaves little bumps on my face. I really loved the old formula so I'm so disappointed
