OMG... I'm going on a holiday next week and was planning to get this perfume tax-free but I'll think about it twice. I love CK perfumes but I was already in doubt about this one. There was something about it that made it smell a bit cheap... Just couldn't think of what is was. Thanks for sharing... I'll spend my money on something more worth it!

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner

I've used a lot of more expensive eyeliners before and I was very surprised to find out that this one works just as well and even better. I was using Clinique Cream Liner but it smudged and was very hard to apply well. Colorstay does exactly what it says: the colour stays on and doesn't smudge or budge. It easy to use, even for less experienced eyeliner users, and it's fuzz free because you don't need a separate brush. (unlike Clinique Cream Liner, which comes in a little pot with a separate brush) The colour goes on intense and stays intense until you take it off. A winner, I'll certainly buy it again.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse

Positive: *Uhm... Negative: *Packaging: a jar, so you have to put your fingers in the jar to apply it. *Colour range: not big enough, moderate choice of tones. *Quality: doesn't stay matte, hard to blend well, unnatural coverage *Texture: chunky and feels a bit greasy *Staying power; melts away quickly For a matte finish I prefer Clinique Superfit. More blendable and a matte finish that looks more natural.

Mascara -Max Factor - Masterpiece Max

To be honest... I truly don't understand all the hype and fuzz about this product. I was lucky enough to receive a sample before it came out in Holland but I hated it. It just doesn't do anything for my lashes. No volume, no length and it uncurls my lashes when I apply it after I've curled my lashes. But it does seperate and goes on smoothly and I'm quite sure it works better if you don't have stick straight lashes like mine. I friend of mine is using it and she gets really beautiful results so it's probably just my type of lashes. Good price and nice packaging, just doesn't do the thrick for me.

Mascara -Helena Rubinstein - Lash queen
rated 5 of 5

I'm completely in love with this one. I was looking for a new mascara and this one was on discount; coming in a nice gold coloured box together with a remover and eye pencil. I have very long but stick straight lashes so I use a lash curler every morning. I tried a lot of mascaras and they always seem to uncurl my lashes when I apply them after curling. Not this one. It seperates, gives length and adds volume without lookin spidery or clumpy. The only 'but' seems to be the fact that it dries very quickly so you have to reapply very fast to prevent your lashes from looking clumpy. Overall I'm very satisfied with this one. I use the waterproof version in Blackest Black, a beautiful inky black. It doesn't flake or smudge, I'm a fan! Quite expensive; I paid about 30 euros which is about 40 USD, and though I love it no mascara is worth this much money.

Lipstick -Clinique - Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick
rated 5 of 5

I bought this lipstick in Pink Goddess and Fresh Watermelon and I love them both. The texture is extremely soft and both colours are beautiful. Pink Goddess is a soft pink with a bit of gold and Fresh Watermelon is a sheer fuchsia. I love the packaging, it just looks so stylish. I'm already looking for new colours!

Liquid -L'Oreal - infallible never fail makeup
rated 3 of 5

My biggest problem with this is the texture. It dries very quick so you have to be quite skilled with a sponge or brush to blend it before it's completely dry. I found it very heavy on my skin, though it worked great as a base for a Dita von Teese-style make-up with black liner and red lips. Too heavy for daytime and the colour seems to change during the day... I bought it in 'Vanilla' and the slightly ivory colour got a strange orange tinge during the day. I have to admit it stays on very well and blemishes are covered the whole day, without having to touch it up. Didn't really work on my shiny T-Zone... It was shine free for a little while but after a couple of hours I looked like my little old glowworm self again. It's not a bad product but it certainly doesn't work for my skin.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 2 of 5
JunkieXL 8/14/2008 8:37:00 AM

I live in Holland zo NARS is quite expensive here. I was going to buy it after all the positive comments in magazines and on sites but decided to try it in the shop before I bought it. I'm SO happy I did... It was far to glittery for me and the colour didn't really match the colour it was in the packaging. As I have quite red cheeks, the colour totally disappeared on my face. I didn't buy it and bought a cheaper L'Oréal Blush Delicieux in Candy Cane Pink. Though it's not exactly The Holy Grail, it works for me.

Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum
rated 4 of 5
JunkieXL 8/8/2008 5:29:00 AM

As far as I'm concerned, I find serums often heavy and oily. I got a free sample of RDRS and decided to give it a try. Though I'm not completely convinced, I'm satisfied with the results. My skin looks smoother and my skintone seems more even. It works wonders as a primer under make-up for me! It's great subsistute for more expensive versions. I have quite sensitive skin but I didn't have any rash or other blotchy spots; love it.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color
rated 5 of 5
JunkieXL 8/8/2008 5:20:00 AM

I love this one! I've been colouring my hair for quite a couple of years now and this certainly does the trick. Currenly, I use 'Caramel'. It's somewhere between dark blonde and light brown with a warm, golden base. I like the fact that it doesn't drip due to it's creamy consistence and someway my hair seems less lacklustre after colouring. Other brands tend to dry out my fine, curly hair. Really like the handy packaging with the hole in the middle to put the bottle in during colouring.Great variety in colours too... I'm hooked!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
rated 1 of 5
JunkieXL 8/8/2008 5:07:00 AM

I still don't understand what all the fuzz is about with this mascara... If make-up artist say that this is one of their favourites, I really doubt their skills. I guess these artists must be paid by Maybelline for calling it their favourite pick... I once bought it but it just doesn't do the trick for me. As I have very long but stick straight lashes, I have to use a curler before using mascara. Great Lash just dragged my lashes down after curling and I didn't notice any increase in volume or colour. At it's price it's quite cheap but I definitly won't buy it again.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
rated 1 of 5
JunkieXL 8/8/2008 5:00:00 AM

Didn't like it at all... The brush is just too big and whenever I put it on, my eyelids are covered in black spots. The smell is very overwhelming and it made my lashes clump, though I'm quite an experienced mascara user ;) I prefer Helena Rubinstein's Lash Queen Waterproof for seperation and volume.
