Fragrances -Christian Dior - Dior Bronze - Sweet Sun

This fragrance was an odd experience for me. I was buying some Dior gloss one day when the sales person gave me a swatch of Sweet Sun. I loved it, and went back later to buy it. But when I actually had the fragrance on it was a completely different perfume. The swatch smelled like the tropics but on me it smelled like an icky vanilla musk. I returned it.
Just not my style. The color didn't really work for me; it looked more purple than pink on my super fair skin. It did have a yummy scent though, it reminded me of jellybeans. The gloss also wore really well, it was really shiny and made my lips look plump. I liked the gloss enough that I'm returning hot pants and trying again with another shade.
I thought this was okay, but nothing really special. It does give a sexy wet pout as another reviewer described it. The color I purchased, red currant, was a sheer rasberry color that you could find in almost any other line. The gloss has sparkles in it which tend to drift all over your face, or at least around your mouth. The gloss feels warm when you put it on, because it's a plumper, and not hot like some other lip plumpers I've tried. I'm going to keep using it, because I like the color and the shine, but I will not repurchase because it is too expensive for what it is and I don't like the sparkles.
Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk

I love this! I've never had flatter hair and I've tried the Solia and the Sedu. My hair is pointy-straight and shiny with one swipe. I'm bummed that it has such a bad track record with shorting out, because the iron (for now) works great.
Love this! It's so rare that I splurge and get a product I actually like. This makes me look like I'm wearing false lashes. I've never had a mascara that made my lahes so thick and long. My new HG.
I purchased this after reading Carmandy (sp?) from What Not To Wear's product reviews on Sephora.com. She said it was the best gloss she's ever used, and while it's okay, I would hardly rate this as the best of the best. The gloss has a weird plastic smell. It's liquidy and very sheer and doesn't wear well on my PPP complexion. I'll use it, but would not repurchase.
This is one of my favorite 3-in-1 scents. It reminds me of summer. I agree with the user below; get the cocktail party scent (the other two-melon daquiri and senior margarita are yummy also).
Lip Gloss -Sugar Cosmetics - Sugar Kisses Gloss in "Squeeze"

I liked the yummy sugar smell and taste when I first bought this, but a few days later it isn't as noticeable. This is still a really fun gloss. The shade works really well with my fair skin and dark hair (PPP/BBB?? ha) I'm glad I went with squeeze; I think if I'd purchased any other color it wouldn't have shown up. Edit: I still love this gloss, but have found that it leaks quite a bit. Keep it in the original box instead of tossing it in your purse alone, or else you'll get small amounts of gloss everywhere.
I love the consistency. Gloss seems pretty quality. I'm not crazy about the broze shade, it's more summery, but I really like the pinker version. I'm going to try other shades.
Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Strawberry Milkshake 3 in 1
Jen1234 2/5/2005 11:48:00 PM
I really like the Philosophy 3-in-1 line but Strawberry Milkshake just doesn't do it for me. I think it smells more like Pepto-Bismol than a milkshake. I think there is also one called "Strawberry Icecream" that smells better.
Essie is my HG nail polish. It's cheap, has fun wearable colors, and doesn't chip too easily.
I have very dark hair-almost black. This did lighten it a few shades but not as dramatically as it said it would on the box. I think what matters is if you have color already on your hair. If you don't, it probably will lift the color alot more than if you have hair that's already been colored.
I have dark hair and this made little if any change to my hair, oh, except for damaging it. I guess if I want highlights I have to break down and go to the salon.
Looove this! It smells yummy, tastes yummy, lasts long and the color I have(cappucino) look great with my fair skin and dark hair. It's the perfect consistency, not too goopy or drying. I can't believe I only paid a couple bucks for this, it hands down beats alot of other much pricier glosses.
This is a good summer scent but overall not my favorite out of all the philosophy 3-in-1's.
