Polishes -OPI - Bogota Blackberry
Jadetive 10/23/2007 11:55:00 AM
What a gorgeous color. It's like a medium dark cherry color and it looks very good on fair skin. I'm used to dark polish and this is lighter than what I'm used to, but it looks good! If I had to choose one red nail polish to wear for the rest of my life, this would be it. :)

OPIs are great. There are sooo many colors to choose from. And, on me, they don't chip as much too. However, the price of OPIs are ridiculous (where I'm from) so I can't imagine buying a bottle. I just get my nails painted with it every once in a while as a treat. :)

Toners -The Body Shop - Aloe vera gentle freshener
Jadetive 10/20/2007 11:38:00 PM
I'm use this occasionally, after I cleanse my face at night, just to see if my face is clean. It's pretty gentle and calming and I feel a slight residue on my skin after I use it. My skin hasn't reacted badly to it or particularly well. I believe it doesn't contain any alcohol. 3 lippies for being an average product.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Satin Taupe
Jadetive 10/20/2007 5:10:00 AM
My first MAC shadow!!! UPDATE: The color has been described several times but I find it kind of warm on my skin, which is unfortunate because I was looking for a shimmery cool taupe. That said, I can still pair this with many colors, purples, blues, greens, blacks, most colors. I only wish it was more silvery and less bronzey.

Pressed Powders -Wet 'n' Wild - Silkygirl Lightening Pressed Powder
Jadetive 10/17/2007 7:35:00 AM
Good points: Huge mirror inside, perfect. Though it's a pressed powder, the coverage is very good. The color is slightly yellow, great for Asian skin. Cheap! Bad points: The sponge is useless. It CAN be cakey, depends on your mode of application. It's hard to go wrong if you have a fluffy brush. After I buy a retractable fluffy brush, this will be my HG pressed powder. 5 lippies! :)

Makeup Brushes -The Body Shop - Eyeliner Brush

This doesn't work for eyelining. The bristles are far too long and bendy. I currently use this to fill in tiny spots on my eyebrows. It's good for that purpose.

Masks -Montagne Jeunesse - Masks

I tried the Ultra Moisture Masque for Intensive Deep Rehydration. It comes in a pack of 3 sachets that are used individually. I could use each one twice, so that's a total of 6 uses from one 'pack'. The cream was purple and it smelt strongly but it wasn't too unpleasant. I woke up the next day, the cream had been fully absorbed and my face felt supply and smooth. No breakouts. EDIT: I'm lowering this to 3 lippies because it did aggravate my acne above my brow. I'll be using this on my other areas. Won't repurchase when I'm done with it.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Almond Body Butter
Jadetive 10/9/2007 3:01:00 AM
I feel very pampered when I use this product. The scent and texture is great. It takes a little longer to sink into the body. I don't really like the oily feel while I roll around in bed but I could get used to it. It IS pricey too. I'll only repurchase it when it foes on sale.

Scrubs -The Body Shop - Almond Body Scrub
Jadetive 10/9/2007 2:58:00 AM
This scrub is too oily. It's scrubby but it leaves a flim of oil on my legs which I dislike. I can smell it and feel it when I move around in bed, even after I wash it off with a body wash. Sorry Body Shop, the only redeeming factor is the scent. And even that is rather insignificant. Downgraded furthur to 1 lippie. I'll be using this on my feet only and I definitely won't be repurchasing.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Jojoba extra rich night cream
Jadetive 10/9/2007 2:49:00 AM
I got a sample of this in a little 15ml tub. Because it's sample sized, I don't have an ingredient list to refer to. Scent: I like it a lot, it smells like a familiar body lotion, very comforting Texture: Felt more like a balm than a cream/lotion I applied it last night before I slept, all over my face. This morning, I awoke to clear, smooth skin. The product did not aggravate or heal a few spots on my face. It's a good, basic night cream that moisturizes your skin while you sleep. 4 lippies until I confirm the ingredients in it.

Styling Products -L'Oreal - Studio Line Anti-Frizz
Jadetive 8/17/2007 11:44:00 AM
This full name of the product is: L'Oreal Studio Line Smooth Perfect Instant Control Fluid. What a mouthful. If you love smooth shiny hair and your hair can take silicones without turning into a greasy mess, this is the product for you. I run two pumps of this through my hair after my shower and I wake up the next day with super smooth, super soft hair. The texture of this fluid is very creamy. I got two bottles of this for close to nothing at a sale. I would definitely rebuy. Disclaimer: I have typical Asian hair, thick, straight and black. I bought this product to enhance that.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - SILKYGIRL Funky Eyelights Pencil
Jadetive 8/17/2007 11:36:00 AM
I have this in Ocean Blue. The color sounds like it is, a bright, vibrant.. ocean blue! The texture is soft so there's no tugging on your lids. With such a soft, crayon-y texture, I thought it wouldn't last but it lasted a whole day on my lids. Vibrant colors, long lasting, easy to apply, cheap and readily avaliable. Fantastic. 5 lippies! Loose Powders -Ponds - Magic Powder - Oil and Blemish Control
Jadetive 8/17/2007 11:32:00 AM
I love love love this loose powder. It comes in a plastic talcum bottle-like container. Cute. I have 2. One in a white container and the powder is white. One in an orangey container and the powder is (you guessed it) kind of orangey. The latter has tiny flecks of GOLD shimmer in it. I've never seen a prettier loose powder. I pour some of this into a little container and I use it as a loose powder. It absorbs oil well, keeps my T-zone matte and is uber cheap. I use both. On usual days, I use the white one. When I'm a little tanned, or if I'm wearing warm colors that day (apricot, bronze, golds), I'll go with the orangey one. I bet you could mix the orangey one with some body lotion and make a glowy body lotion. Fantastic buy. HG!!!

Shampoo -Revlon - Flex Shampoo
Jadetive 8/16/2007 12:30:00 PM
Based on the reviews here, I bought myself a bottle of this. It cost me only a few dollars and it's so good! I have oily hair and this doesn't weigh it down and cause my hair to become greasy. The scent is nice, it's super cheap and you get a humungous bottle. Simply fantastic. 5 lippies!

Polishes -OPI - Romeo & Joliet

My friend did a manicure with me and she had this color on her nails. It's a very very deep warm burgandy. Would look nice on people with warm skin. I have a cooler skin tone so it wouldn't look as nice on me. Lovely color though. It's similar to Mrs OLearys BBQ, but this one is warmer, more brown, less purple.
