Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - Delovely

I am in love. I find Delovely to be a sheer neutral beige color. It actually really reminds me of L'Oreal's Aishwarya's Beige, but without the weird smell. This is my first Buttershine and the gel-like, balmy, and glossy texture of this lipstick really surprised me! It's very moisturizing on me and doesn't accentuate the flakiness in my lips that has plagued me now that it's winter. I am very happy with Buttershines and I will be repurchasing this and more.
Absolutely gorgeous. I have trouble describing the exact color. To me, Rome looks corally pink with very fine gold shimmer. It is quite pigmented and it was my mistake when I picked up too much on my stipling brush. However, a bit of blending really eased it up and it gave me a really pretty flush! Kind of innocent, kind of sexy. An excellent quality blush and I would repurchase if I ever ran out. It's a great deal - there's a TON of product in this. I am NC15 to NC20 for reference.
Mascara -Shu Uemura - Mascara Basic [DISCONTINUED]

The a really fantastic "basic" mascara. The formula is thin and it really is gel-like. It gives me perfectly separated, defined, and lengthened lashes. If you like a natural, everyday look, this is the mascara for you. No volume whatsoever on me, but I personally prefer length and separation over volume (I cannot stand clumping). This is the only non-waterproof mascara that KEEPS a curl on me! Most non-waterproof mascaras I have tried are too heavy and makes my curl fall, but this one REALLY maintains that curl throughout the day. I feel like this really widens up my eyes and makes me look more "put to together." I would buy this again... I just wish it wasn't so expensive. :/
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige
GacktCamui 10/23/2006 10:29:00 PM
It seems like this lipstick looks different on everyone! It looks different on me in different lighting too. For me, it is actually rather sheer and I really have to layer on the lipstick to build any color. When it's on, I find it's almost like a slightly darker, shimmery shade of MAC Hug Me. This is just based on what it looks on myself. Very strange, huh? In other lighting, it's more brownish. I would repurchase this lipstick because it does work for me. The smell of it is pretty awful, though. :(
I gave this a 5 because it is the perfect color. The packaging isn't that great - if you're a butterfingers like me, you'll probably spill a lot of it. The great thing is that there is so much product in it. Yes, it looks like just this itty bitty jar, but when you open it up and apply it, all you need is a tiny dab! I usually just touch my brush to the underside of the plastic lid to get enough pigment. Vanilla is just a gorgeous color. It looks off-white in the jar, but when applied, it's a very soft shimmery salmon gold. It's sheer, so it's great as a highlighter. It really softens any harsh dark eyeshadow lines and just kind of blends and melts the colors together. I can imagine using this for eyes, lips, and cheeks. This makes it a very versatile pigment! I would definitely repurchase this product and I hope it's never discontinued!
I only have 3 MAC lipsticks and I like all of them. Hug Me is a neutral pinkish brown (beige) color and I think would go well with tame eyes/face. I love the application - it's smooth and slightly glossy, but it is a little drying. When it wears off, it looks very uneven on the lips. Otherwise, a great lipstick and I would buy it again.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]

Whoooaaaa, okay so I've only used this once so far, but I feel the results really warrant a great review! My hair is not wavy, but has a natural curve to it, and tends to get frizzy. No shampoo and conditioner set has ever really have been effective as their claims. This makes my hair straight and VERY shiny! I've never experienced shine like this before! It's almost like I've just flat-ironed my hair! I will try to update after I've used this a few more times and hopefully it will still deliver! *crosses fingers*
Edit: Okay, it's not as great as when I first tried it. Maybe my hair got used to it? Also, I'm not really a fan of the scent. :( Something about it just doesn't smell right. It really sticks to my hair and lingers...
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Baked
GacktCamui 8/13/2006 12:55:00 AM
Ohhh these are so smooth, like butter! The only gripe I have I guess is the $15 price tag. A bit much for a pencil eyeliner :/ But still, excellent quality. I wasn't sure the color would work for me, but it does. I was afraid there may be too much red in it, but it's more gold-bronze than copper. Now I'm really lemming the other colors too!
Exactly as greenreed says! I got this one and another l/g palette, and an e/s palette at Marshall's for 5.99 each. The quality is great and the packaging is not bad. Somewhat of a smell/taste to them, but they fade. Staying power is not bad, and they keep my lips moisturized. Yes, if only they had gone straight to d/s...
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Shine That Pink
GacktCamui 7/22/2006 11:16:00 PM
Haha I loooove this pink! I'm very into bubblegum and fuschia and bright bright Barbie pink type of lipglosses because they work for me. I find this one a lot more pigmented than other S/L glosses.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Cherries in the Glow [DISCONTINUED]
GacktCamui 7/22/2006 11:13:00 PM
Very nice, sheer, wearable red! I think this would go well with any skin tone and it's very neutral and natural looking. I like the consistency of Revlon's S/L glosses, too, although I feel sometimes they are a bit drying. However, not to fear! They have reformulated some of the colors so that they have SPF 15 AND are more moisturizing. Hooray!
Oh man, this stuff is GREAT. All natural stuff, no preservatives, and I was able to get it for seriously dirt cheap. I live near this place where they get "overstocked" items and they had the mint flavor and the regular honey flavor in two gigantic bins - 2 for a dollar. YEP. I only picked up 2, but I am certainly going to go back soon and pick up some more. It's just too good to pass up. Very nice balm - makes my lips really soft and I'm not afraid of licking my lips and ingesting it. Great lasting power and it's not super minty. Love it!
Ditto Bubbles68 - I swear this makes my lashes look SHORTER. I'm just glad I got this on sale.
Sunscreen -Shiseido - Ultimate Sun Protection Cream SPF 55 PA+++ [DISCONTINUED]
GacktCamui 6/25/2006 11:39:00 PM
Okay, let me just get this off my chest - IT'S EXPENSIVE!! But I won't let that stop me from repurchasing. This stuff is AWESOME for my oily, acne-prone skin. It feels creamy, but once you put it on, it "absorbs" quickly and leaves my skin feeling matte but smooth. It's almost like a make-up primer, and my foundation does apply a lot more even afterwards. Since it's waterproof, I use oil cleansers to remove this at night. This is definitely my HG sunscreen.
I really like this gloss! I have Cellopink, and I love love love the texture of it! Although the color payoff is a lot sheerer than I had expected, I love the way it feels on my lips - so smooth and wet and not tacky. It feels very moisturizing and it's not one of those glosses where you have to make your lips ultra smooth before applying. Goldensoft looked scary in the tube, but it's sheer and very pretty on! I think it would definitely look great layered on lipsticks as well. Also, I think I prefer the squeeze tube to the wand, because it's a lot easier to apply. I can be walking down the street and apply it like I would a lip balm without looking. I would not be able to apply wand glosses without a mirror, and especially while moving.
