Beautiful, sheer cool pink. Similar to Mademoiselle, but I think it shows up ever so slightly more. I use three coats (which apply beautifully by the way) to deepen the shade a bit, but for a French might opt for just one or two.

Liquid -MAC - Select Tint SPF 15 ] [DISCONTINUED]
Fiammetta 3/9/2006 12:47:00 AM
Light, good for everyday coverage. Won't cover up anything major; my freckles only fade a little bit. It's sheer, dewy, and I don't have to worry about it rubbing off onto my hands. I'm not certain about the SPF that it offers, so in the summer I will use a separate sunscreen. It also blends well with a bit of luminizer, and I particularly like using creme blushes when I wear this.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Glaze
Fiammetta 3/9/2006 12:37:00 AM
Loving this product! It really only does take a couple of drops, rubbed between my palms, to keep my hair shiny and sleek. Beats BioSilk by a mile. The only thing is, I wouldn't recommend it for those who want to add greater volume, but doesn't that hold for most straightening silicon-based products? Good stuff, far better than I could have hoped for.

Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint Eyeliner - Bordeauxline
Fiammetta 2/16/2006 6:24:00 AM
Love this liner. As everyone has said, it's a lovely plum-wine shade, blendable but not smudgy. I like to use it with purple toned eyeshadow, like NARS Caravaggio, or MAC Trax, and it works with pink-toned shadows, too. Also lovely on its own.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
Fiammetta 2/16/2006 6:16:00 AM
Nice product! It keeps my eyeshadow in place for 12+ hours (unless I rub my eyes), and I even have to make sure to use some kind of cleanser or the makeup won't come off. I use the wand to apply the product to the crease of my lids, then my ring finger to blend. Then eyeliner, shadow, and mascara (because if the product gets on my lashes, they're quite pale), and I'm finished!

Lipstick -MAC - Deliciously Rich
Fiammetta 10/25/2005 6:26:00 PM
On the MAC website, this LE Amplified lipstick is described as a "low-key pink with mauve hint." That it definitely is. On my lips it looks rather like a soft lilac-toned pink, nothing that calls too much attention. It could do as an alternative to a true nude, for the more cool-toned people. It's often compared to Birds of a Feather, which is I think a tad brighter and a more medium pink.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
Fiammetta 10/10/2005 9:01:00 PM
If you have the right brush (like the MAC 209 eyeliner brush, or something like it) the application is smooth and very easy. The eyeliner doesn't move once it's set, and it sets pretty fast. I think this is less goopy than the Bobbi Brown gel liner, and actually doesn't seem as prone to drying. I have much love for Fluidline.

Lipstick -MAC - Birds Of a Feather

This is an easy to wear medium pink, and works well in the creaminess of the Amplified formula. It looks polished without lipliner, and the shade does make my lips seem a little fuller. It'll probably be my go-to lipstick this winter.

Polishes -OPI - Blue My Mind

This is a stunning royal blue with shimmer. It took 3 coats instead of my usual 2 to get the color the depth I wanted, but it was worth it. Goes great with dark blue jeans and black sandals.

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Shine

I find this lippie plumps better than Lip Venom, and you get more of it for less. The minty smell is nice, and the texture is wet and very glossy. Perhaps a little too wet to wear on top of most lipcolor. At any rate, this is fast becoming a staple.

Polishes -Essie - Allure

This is, as everyone else has said, a sheer milky pinkish shade. Good for a simple, nude look, and it wears well. Probably the shade I'll stick to for my upcoming spate of job interviews.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Color Juice in Passion Fruit Squeeze
Fiammetta 12/27/2004 1:53:00 PM
This is hardly the first nude pink gloss I've owned, but it might be my favorite. The consistency is the same as other CJs, but it looks almost creamy on application. Makes my lips look full, but doesn't overpower other makeup.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Color Juice in Candy Apple
Fiammetta 12/27/2004 10:41:00 AM
In the tube, the gloss looks rather like my Lancome JT in Beach Plum, but applied it looks a little redder. Beautiful, ripe color, no shimmer. Sometimes a little overpowering for daytime, and it definitely benefits from the use of some lipliner.

Candles -Henri Bendel - Home - Black Currant
Fiammetta 12/12/2004 11:04:00 AM
I'm not a candle person at all, but I took one sniff and realized I needed this. It's a rich, tangy black currant, ripe and yummy and really, I will repurchase once I use it up. ETA 9/14/05: it's discontinued! Damn.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop ~ Fruity Pop
Fiammetta 12/12/2004 10:55:00 AM
This color looks a little pale in the tube, but it's a milky pink with bright pink sparkles. I LOVE this, and it looks quite different from any other gloss I own. I got this in the Holiday JT set, but I think I might actually use up the tube and buy a full-size.
