It's a nice sweet scent but turns too soapy on me. I wouldn't buy it.
I can see we're very divided on this one. I don't know why it doesn't work for some people but it does for me. I have hormonal acne and oily skin. I was using benzoyl peroxide before this on a daily basis for a long time and I don't know if my skin just got used to it or what but the acne was not getting any better. I mean at least one new cystic acne every day, sometimes three! I was considering taking Roaccutan tablets 'cause I was so fed up with my skin problem (thought at one time it still was too many on my face). Then I thought I'd give it a try and it works. I'm not saying that all of a sudden everything is cleared up, but I have less acne appearing and the ones coming out don't have a chance of developing. I've been using it for about a month and I can see development. In fact when I started using it I stopped the banzoyn peroxide and never went back to it. It doesn't dry my face, usually I just go over my face with some rose tonic (nonalcoholic) in the evening after this and in the morning I often use moisturizer. It even clears up my scars so nicely.
I was so looking forward to trying this one after all the wonderful reviews but I should've thought that a fragrance created in 1906 just won't work for me. If not dated, at least it's not a fragrance for the young. I wish it'd worked for me.But alas...
I guess I was foolish enough to spray twice on my wrist and once on my neck when trying this, and OMG! I got an almost instand headache. Very strong and not my type of scent. I was expecting some nice warm soft vanilla. I got a very heavy oriental smell that's not for me. I had to interpret for 3 hours afterwards in a calssroom and I was worried everyone was getting too overwhelmed by the scent, cause I felt like I could hardly breathe myself. UPDATE: From 1 lippie to 5! Why oh why did I give up so quickly on this masterpiece? I gave it another chance after almost 2 years. I sprayed only once(!) and from about 15cm on my wrist. Wow! Lovely, soft, warm, sexy vanilla scent. My favourite dark vanilla is still Hypnotic Poison, but this comes as close 2nd. Love it!
Wow! I've just sampled the new Black XS for Women. Love it! Love it! Love it! It's sweet (I'm into more sweet fragrances these days then before) but not sickly sweet (Don't think of Angle!). I guess it's the patchouli and the vanilla. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. It's so comforting but chick at the same time. I didn't buy it at the end, I bought Dalimania by Salvador Dali, which is also a sweet fragrance, but a bit more affordable. Though Black XS wasn't terribly expesnive either. The staying power is very good also. But I hate the bottle. It's this new trend with the black ghotic letters, looks like it was made for a Heavy M fan or some other rebellious teenager. Foul! Edit: Ok, the bottle is nicer than I remembered. The smell is quite ok, but nothing unique. The second time it wasn't so wow as the first time. It's definitely for younger people. I don't think I'd buy it.
Powder -Chanel - Double Perfection Compact Teint Poudre Mat Eclat [DISCONTINUED]

It's my first powder foundation but I wanted one that's easy to put on so it doesn't take half an hour every morning just to put on makeup. It really is easy to put on. I use a powder brush and just sweep it on and I'm good to go. I like to put it on right after my misturizer, so it sticks better. Considering that it's a powder MU it's got quite a good coverage, but with a new acne (hormonal : ( ) coming out every day I do have to use concealer, because I don't like to use this MU wet. I have quite oily skin and it does keep shine at bay for a long time, only my forehead starts to shine after a few hours a little bit. I exfoliate every other day, so I guess that helps (not that I'd have any 'dry' flakiness with my oily skin, it just makes my face smoother generally). I use sable 40 that may be a bit too dark when winter comes. I wanted to buy EL Double Wear powder foundation but in my country they don't really have any good lighter yellow toned shades. So being frustrated by not finding that 'perfect' foundation for a long time in the price range that I was aiming at I just bought this at a whim paying about 60USD. Ouch! I don't think this product gives me any acne because the acne I have I've had for a long time and it's really frustrating. But I also don't think that it makes my acne any worse. I'm yet to hear my sister's verdict, who when I was wearing Superfit Natural shade cried out, wipe that pink stuff off your face immediately! And I thought I was wearing the right shade! : ( Overall I'm satisfied with it. Right now it's quite hot where I live and it's held up very well. I'm planing to go back to Africa where I work where it'll be even more hot and humid and I'm convinced it'll work well there, too.
I sprayed the EDP twice(!) on my wrist because the Freche was so weak. The EDP Promesse was like sticking your head in a barrel of candy! Sickeningly sweet. I could even detect it after two days and three showers on my skin. Talk about staying power. Not for me thanks.
Just like Lancome Miracle. Very disappointing. I liked the drydown of Noa, although it was very strong initially. This is nothing like Noa.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Turbo Boost Waterproof

I used to buy this some years ago and I remembered it as a relyable mascara. Then I found Full n Soft and I just loved it. I used it for years, it made my lashes long and naturally full. Then I couldn't get it where I live now and can't even order it so I went back to VET. What a disappoinment. It doesn't really do anything that it promises. I can hardly see I have any mascara on, even when I put two coats on.
