Makeup Brushes -Avon - Ergonomic Eyeshadow Brush
rated 4 of 5

This is not really soft and a bit stiff. The bristles keep falling out and the brush is densely packed with hairs that sometimes scratch. Unfortunately, I bought this for $6 and I think I'm going to put it aside and buy a set from Ecotools. No more Avon brushes for me.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Eyeshadow Trio TS12- Golden/Rust/Walnut Bronze
rated 4 of 5

This palette has three shimmer colours Golden (gold gold), Rust (magenta pink), Walnut Bronze (pinky brown). The shimmer is really fine and there isn't any fallout. These colours are very pigmented and the shadows are soft, buildable and blendable. The colours compliment each other so well and make brown eyes pop. Definitely would buy it again. :)

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eyeshadow Duos

I have this in Tahitian Teak (taupe and dark taupe) and Seaside (light green and peach). The Tahitian Teak is a nice palette, the colours are slightly chalky but are still fairly pigmented. The Seaside palette is REALLY chalky and the colours are hard to blend and not pigmented much. The powders are not soft at all and not very pigmented. I bought three of these at The EX for a really cheap price so I didn't lose out too much.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Trio - Amazon Greens [DISCONTINUED]

Everyone was raving about these palettes so I decided to buy one and I really don't like it. The colours are really chalky and though they look nice in the package the colour payoff isn't the same and it's really not that pigmented. I paid $3-4 on this and I think it's a bit of a waste. I wouldn't repurchase this product.

Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color - Steel Grey Duo
rated 3 of 5

The colours are a bit less pigmented than I'd like and they look slightly chalky. The spong applicator that comes with it is useless and really rough, I'd recommend using an eyeshadow brush instead. One colour is a matte light grey and the other is a matte charcoal-like colour. I've had this palette for a while and I'm not sure about the price I had spent on it. The packaging is a nice (old AVON palette) shimmery navy blue with a little window showing the colours.

Eye Shadow -Avon - Color Trend Eyeshadow Single - Rose Gold
rated 4 of 5

I've had this eyeshadow for SO long and it's still half full. A lot goes a long way and the colour is rich and makes your eyes very noticeable. Even the little sponge that comes with it does a great job. The shimmer is so fine and goes on beautifully. The colour is perfectly described in the name "rose gold". I think I spent approximately $2 on it and now it's unfortunately discontinued (I really wished I had bought green quartz).

Palettes -Avon - 8-in-1 Neutral eyeshadow palette
rated 5 of 5
Ehrial 3/21/2010 4:02:00 PM

I love this palette! Each colour has so much pigment, even when I thought a few would be washed out. All of the colours compliment each other really well. A lot of them are shimmer and some are matte and the staying power is excellent :D Definitely will re-purchase if this runs out (bought it on sale for $12.99).

Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Three-Sum Eyeshadow in Platonic
rated 4 of 5
Ehrial 3/21/2010 3:31:00 PM

I got this on sale for $2 and so it was worth it. The colour it is really shimmery and stays on all day. It's a bit hard to work with the colours since they aren't as pigmented as I'd like. The colour in the palette seems rich but it's not as rich when applied. It's still a pretty good product. EDIT: I accidentally dropped this and it shattered beyond use. :(

Eye Shadow -Lancome - Color Design
rated 5 of 5

I received a sample palette with 4 colours in it: Model (metallic copper), Creme Lustre (simmery dusty white), Chic (matte milk chocolate brown) and Strut (intense forest green). The colours are heavily pigmented and compliment each other really well. They should be used with a light hand because of how much pigment there is. The palette itself lasts a long time.

Eyeliner -Avon - Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Starry Night Sky
rated 5 of 5
Ehrial 3/21/2010 2:14:00 PM

I've tried a few eyeliners by Wet n' Wild and Annabelle and I found that although I started off loving Annabelle, Glimmersticks is a lot creamier and easier to apply, so it won me over. You can't sharpen this liner BUT it's perfectly sized anyway. This navy blue gives a really nice pop to brown eyes. You WILL receive compliments. It really only takes one glide on to get the full colour, it doesn't smudge and lasts all day! The black Annabelle liner that I'm using has to be layered on and it takes too long during my morning rush. This is a definite winner and I will definitely be buying more of these. I think I found my HG liner (and for only $3-4 on sale).

Eyeliner -Annabelle - Kohl Eyeliner- Green
rated 5 of 5

I love this eyeliner in Green, it looks amazing on darker skin tones. This eyeliner is creamy, doesn't tug and gives a pop of colour to my eyes. The only thing is sometimes when I wear it the colour rubs off a little on my crease because of my deep set eyes. This really is a beautiful colour though. :) Bought it for about $2-3 CDN at Walmart.

Eyeliner -Annabelle - Kohl Pencil in Acajou
rated 2 of 5

This particular color is disappointing. I bought this on a whim and when I tried it the colour is barely there on me. You can't really get it on your lids and when you finally do it kind of looks like a sore lid that is healing. Definitely not buying this again. The hardness of the soft kohl eyeliner surprised me because I have this eyeliner in black and it's actually decent.

Eyeliner -Annabelle - Kohl Pencil Crayon in "Black"
rated 4 of 5
Ehrial 3/7/2010 2:18:00 AM

I like this eyeliner a lot but it does tend to fade a little by the end of the day. It doesn't smudge on its own but will rub off easily if you touch it (obviously lol). I do have to go over it a bit a few times before I get that nice dark colour that I like which is why it lost a lippie. It's still a decent liner and not bad for the price (approx $3-4 CDN). I'll finish using it but an even creamier liner is Avon Glimmersticks, which is what I intend on buying as my next black eyeliner.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - DCT for lips - Daily Conditioning Treatment SPF 20
rated 5 of 5
Ehrial 3/7/2010 2:13:00 AM

This is definitely the best lip balm I've used. I lost count of how many little tubs of this stuff I've already been through since I tried it. At first it sting a bit but now that I'm used to it, it has a nice cool pleasant feeling. It healed my chapped lips so quickly and I always wear it under any lip colour I use. If you layer it on a bit, it acts as a clear gloss and stays on for a while. I don't like that it comes in a tub, I've tried the stick form and well...it sucks. I bought it for $2-3 CDN at Walmart and I'm never switching to any other brand because this just makes my lips super soft and keeps them moisturized. It's something that I keep on me at all times (definitely more important to me than my cell phone :P).

Scrubs -Avon - Clearskin Invigorating Scrub
rated 5 of 5
Ehrial 3/7/2010 2:07:00 AM

This is the BEST scrub I have ever used...ever. It deep cleans your pores, kills any and all breakouts you may have, dries them out, stops them dead in their tracks and they heal within 2 days. Amazing stuff, you really can feel the tingle and it cools your face nicely :) You really only need very little product and you need to massage it in really well. This isn't meant to be a daily scrub and if you do use it extensively it may dry out your skin (read the back and use it accordingly). I don't know how much we bought this for (below $6.99CDN) and sometimes you can buy 2 items for the price of one during the sale...I recommend the Blackhead Cleanser as well.
