Before buying this i thought "what can this cotton do that other cotton can't?" i bought it anyway after all i desperately needed cotton anyway... so well THERE is a difference!!! this is VERY soft, VERY gentle for the eye area, well overall superior, in one word "GENTLE", other cottons (meaning the generic cotton we usually get from the beauty section of the supermarket) usually left me with red skin from all the tugging, not this one... well after a few days i went back i bought 7, yes 7 packages to take home with me (although we do have shiseido in mexico, they don't sell this cotton) and six months later i am left with three and a half packages so i am pretty sure the 7 will last me a year, i use them for everything, and they have been worth every single penny and space in my suitcase. Status: HG.
Foundations -Guerlain - Issima Anti-Ageing Silky-Smooth Fluid Foundation
DEWW 5/8/2006 1:03:00 AM
I got a sample of this foundation when i was in USA but never tried it till i got home (mexico), I am just 25 so i knew this foundation wasn't targeted for my age, but since i LOVE Guerlain i tried it, and i have to say i am very impressed, this is very emollient (which can be good for dry skin) and looked very nice and dewy, for my age and skin i wouldn't use it everyday, but for a nice dinner and for colder weather (since my skin is not that dry) it is awesome, it is so nice that on another trip to USA i bought 2 bottles (they don't sell this foundation in mexico). For reference i am MAC NC40 and got beige moyen :)
this IMHO, is like a golden beachy "hug me", very very nice! this sundressing collection is turning into one of my favorites :)
Highlighters -Guerlain - Les Meteorites Ball Powder - Pink Fresh 02
DEWW 5/7/2006 11:34:00 PM
LOVE METEORITES, i have mythic, beige chic, a silver one and FRESH PINK, this is the one i love the most because it is peachier and i am a sucker for all the peach, all meteorites are great, i use them all over my face after foundation and blush and unkown ppl stop me in the street and compliment me of my "radiant" skin, well this is part of the secret, it's not like ohhhhh u have meteorites on, just a subtle glow from within, love it! status: HG.
MUA, please please add "maybe" in the repurchase option of the reviews... ok said that, would u buy this again? maybe. It's a nice color, margarine yellow, nice texture (silky) and good pigment, but not unique i have at least 3 other eye shadows very similar, but it's a MAC limited edition pigment so i am not regreting the purchase; oH and for MAC please pack pigments with a swifter, that would be very convinient, gracias :)
From the new collection "sundressing" this is a corally pink with green shimmer, i love coral lipsticks i think they look great with my warm skin (MAC NC40 tan, brown eyes, golden brown hair) and it does, the green shimmer is invisible but gives a ommmhhp, i really liked it :) let's see if this is a HG :)
Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]
DEWW 3/23/2006 1:50:00 AM
HATED IT!!!! i didn't see any extra volume, just clump lashes, eye irritation, a pain in the ***** to take off, didn't like it at all, a total mess!!!
Like the reviewr below wrote, LOVE at first application!! i am a high end mascara girl, but i was curious about the brush and all and i LOVE IT!!!, gives a very natural look not the one u could achieve with faux cils of YSL, but a very pretty day look!!! a keeper :)
I wanted to try something different cause i was getting bored of my beloved Divinora Powder Foundation (oh please forgive me!!!), this was TOO dry, to chalky, for my combination skin in spring, my twelve y.o. brother asked me if i had baby powder on the other day i wore it, not that the color was too light, it was just too powdery, it made me sneeze all day and ... well coming back to my old friend, Guerlain here i come :)
wanted to like this but it looked milky on my not very pigmented lips, i thought this was the perfect color for my tan skin, dark blond hair and brown eyes but it just looked weird :( after reading what Yuki21 wrote is exactly what happened to me with this gloss
Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Moisturizer [REFORMULATED]
DEWW 2/25/2006 11:19:00 AM
I usually love all BB products, so when i was looking for a TM for my normal to combo skin, with no real issues but some redness, i went straight to the BB counter thinking i couldn't go wrong... but i did, i hated this product, makes my pores look so big, the color "light" is too yellow, the smell is weird, oh just didn't like anything, so i bought the shiseido one and i am happy with it, will not repurchase and NOT recommended.
Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer
DEWW 10/28/2005 7:45:00 PM
broke me out :(
Interesting texture but that's about it, covered nothing, weird colors, good packaging, expensive... i have mine abandoned in the back of my drawer so lonely i sometimes want to use it but remember how much i did not like it :(
I love this foundation, as i am a sleepy sleepy person, i rather sleep 20 more minutes than put makeup on, BUT with this i apply my foundation in less than a minute, top with blush, comb my eyebrows, mascara and lipstick and i am off the door in 5 minutes, it's a real time saver with high performance as it leaves a beautiful beautiful finish, matte but not cakey, velvety, just beautiful, the only downfall is that i HATE the compact it's too big and ugly , if they just made this in a givenchy or stila like case (small and functional) it would be perfect, i am tanned probably MAC NC40 - NC45 and i use beige moyen. Oh i've been using the new MAC pre+prime before this and it looks even better! UPDATE: I bought this 5 times, i can't belive it i never repurchase anything!!! LOVE RAVE
Liquid -Becca - Luminous Skin Color sheer foundation
DEWW 7/29/2005 12:35:00 AM
i usually buy stuff taking in consideration the reviews on mua, but on a trip to USA i bought this without checking the review first, after i got home (mexico) and read the reviews I thought ughhh 38 dollars to the trash cause there is no sephora here (so i could return it) but i did what pooja323 suggested, i washed my face, then applied primer (i bought the silky primer from becca too) and then the foundation without any moisturizer (i usually use happylogy from guerlain but this time skipped it) and i had the most natural, perfect skin, looked like i had nothing on, just perfect skin, it is a very sheer foundation, just use concealer wherever u think u need more coverage (under eyes or on zits after using it) very nice, i am usually pale but now I am tanned probably MAC NC35-40 and bought tan :)
