Eyeliner -Avon - Ultra Luxury Eye Liner - Dark Brown
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/12/2012 8:01:00 AM

For being a typical pencil eyeliner, this isnt too bad. I use to have an Avon Rep where i could buy some goodies every now & again but now that i dont, i dont get to enjoy them as much, but i def picked up a few of the Ultra Luxury liners and this is what i think- =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Avon Ultra Luxury Eye Liners can be purchased online on the avon site or through your avon rep. The price will vary slightly depending on sales/discounts but i always wait for a sale. They are typically $6 which is awfully expensive for what you are buying. but i suggests picking them up while theyre on sale. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The Ultra Luxury Liners are a regular pencil liner. They arent the softest but they are soft enough that they dont pull on the eye area. I find though w/ these, the more you use them, the better they get. I think the top tip of the pencil is so hard so i suggests sharpening off the point & get a fresh new tip. Dark Brown is a dark chocolate brown. I love using this liner on my lash line & also my water lines. Esp on days when i want a natural look. W/ my pale skin, black liners can look too harsh but Dark Brown is a great color that also defines & opens up my eyes. It goes on well. It stays on lash lines for a few hours. Priming your eyes will help w/ longevity. Pencil liners can either smear or smudge if you have more oily lids. On waterline, these wear for a few hours but then fade- pencil liners tend to wear for a shorter period than say cream based liners. Everyones eyes are different though so it may wear longer or shorter- so its about what works for you. I really do like these liners. Its a basic pencil liner. Im a fan of creamy pencils but somedays i want a no fuss pencil & these are good. I know they are decently soft, wear good & even better if you set them if you have oily lids. =PACKAGING= This is a standard wooden pencil liner that needs to be mechanically sharpened w/ your pencil sharpener. There is 0.04 oz weight for the pencil. Which ends up being a little bigger than my hand, around 6 inches or more of pencil. This makes them a good length for holding on & not hitting a mirror when your trying to line your eyes. They sharpen easily w/out having wood chippings or broken tips. Overall, these are actually pretty good wooden pencils. I like these for basic lining. The Dark Brown is a nice dark but not harsh color that can be used on a daily basis for any look. I have repurchased the Dark Brown one so i really do enjoy it. I pick them up if theyre on sale.

Eyeliner -Avon - Satin Gel Eye Liner - Black Pearl
rated 2 of 5
Christinaann5 1/11/2012 10:19:00 PM

Well this product has been discontinued..i dont like clicking it since i know if someone has it- its nice to be able to add reviews to it.. i hate when its discontinued bc i would still like to review it- i have had these Satin Gel liners for awhile now so i can thoroughly review it.. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Avon Satin Gel Liner was available on the avon site or through your representative but i have since checked the site & i cannot find it anywhere. so its been discontinued.. they have since released another Gel based liner that i think even looks better so im not sure how that is since ive not ordered from avon in quite some time. DISCONTINUED =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= the Satin Gel Liner came in i believe two shades- Black Pearl & Brown Pearl. i cannot check for details since i cant find it online. I have mine in Black Pearl which is a darkened charcoal black with a hint of silver shimmer throughout. I dont find the shimmers to show up where you can see . I did like the liner at first- it was smooth, easy to apply & was true to color in the jar, & stayed put for at least 8 hrs before any fading occurred. i didnt have any transferring issues. It was a nice color to wear w/ any look and for night & day time. I typically tried this w/ the bent liner brush that you could purchase w/ it but it works better w/ a small, dense synthetic fiber brush. I think the formula at first is smooth & creamy but w/ any cream product there is a chance of drying out & this liner dries QUICK unfortunately. I have learned how to "save" gel liners but it still isnt the best. It feels & looks more like a kohl liner. The performance is good too. It would last at least 6-7hrs w/ a primer of course. I just think there are better gel/cream liners for a better price. I know they no longer carry this but for those of you who may run across it- id suggests going w/ either Maybelline, Elf or WetnWild. They are far superior. But this isnt the worst though. =PACKAGING= I love the packaging of these liners! They come in a small GLASS jar w/ a black twist on/off lid. It feels expensive & not in the standard plastic jar. I love the glass for i feel its less likely to crack or dry up. I dont find its the packagings fault that it dries up, its the formula of the liner. The shade name/info is located on the bottom of jar. I love the jar these come in- ill def reuse this once i finish up or get rid of the liner. Im tryin my hardest to use up my makeup products fast as i can & not waste anything. You do recieve a pretty nice amount of liner. Not too much where you will end up throwing a crap load away but enough that it would last the few months. It was 0.10oz of gel liner- which is good amount. Overall, i cannot say i loved this liner but it was good & got me through until i found my Elf or WnW liners. If you got it to try, it may work. i think this was alright, I havent tried their new gel liner to compare or to see if it got better but i liked it, i esp like the jar. Theyre cute & nice! I guess i cant say if id buy it again bc its impossible. I did buy both available shades while i could though.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Spoiled Brat
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/11/2012 9:37:00 AM

i just have to say THANK YOU so much WetnWild for giving us poor girls a chance to own & use amazing eyeshadows. I am thankful for WNW- Now onto Spoiled Bra- this is one of the newer released trios from WNW- i love all of the trios.. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The WetnWild Coloricon Trios can be found wherever your WNW products are sold. I can find mine at most drugstores like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid as well as some Walmart stores. Another amazing thing about these- theyre only $2.99 yes less than $3!! the price will vary slightly depending if you get a good sale/discount- dirt cheap & worth so much more! =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The WnW formulation of the Coloricon shadows has got to be pretty high up there- now they may have a few, i mean a few misses but for the majority the shadows are superb!! they are soft, smooth as butter, pigmented- i mean serious pigmentation!!!, easy to apply & blend, they have different finishes from matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, but all of the finishes- all them are amazing! They are super pigmented even w/out a primer or base. W/ normal lids, these will show up so well (the one shadow from on of my WNW palettes stained my eye so maybe always wear a primer but i wanted to test the staying power) These will stay on the lid w/ no primer for around 7 or more hours w/out fading/creasing but of course if you have oily lids or not, def always wear a primer!! with a primer- these stay put for at least 8 hrs or more.. if you want to play w/ different cream bases- these also wear extremely well on top of bases. I just love how amazing & pigmented & smooth these are- better than any other shadow i own/tried. Now onto the specific trio itself- Spoiled Brat is what i think to be a more vivid dramatic looking trio from what im use to, at least. I am more into neutrals but i have to own all WNW shadows so i decided to give this a shot- glad i did bc really, these colors are gorgeous!! Eyelid- this is a great deepened fushcia pink. Its not a soft pink but more of a magenta pink which i love this color. for most of the pnks i own are soft pastels but not this one. This color adds a great pop of color to this trio. I def would use a lighter color on my inner portion of my eyelid w/ this but still this trio offers some fun. The pink has a silver metallic undertone which ties it into this trio nicely. Browbone- this is a gorgeous shimmery metallic light silver that almost looks like foil. its gorgeous combined w/ the black for a smoky look. i love lining my lower lash line w/ this silver since it looks metallic esp if you wet it a bit. I love these colors color Crease- This is a great matte black w/ silver sparkles throughout. The shimmer is big enough that you could knockoff the bits or if you may have a tiny bit throughout. its nothing too much meaning if you need a basic black, this will work. Its pigmented so dont think you have to dig into the shadow Generally, i wouldnt ever think to play around w/ these colors together & i def wouldnt wear some of these on their suggested spots but overall- its makeup, there are really no rules so wear em how you want to. I just prefer a matte skintone highlight & more earth tone colors but every once & awhile i want a pop of color- this trio is great for smoky eyes w/ the silver & black & the pink is a touch darker than what it looks like in the pan. I love all the colors. The colors all together have made some interesting yet gorgeous looks. If you check online there are really pretty looks w/ this trio. I didnt think id be able to pull this off but using certain colors a certain way- its actually wearable & not too dramatic but could also go the other way & be dramatic. its a versatile trio!! =PACKAGING= The WnW Coloricon Trios come in a rectanglur compact with a glossy black backing w/ sticker w/ all the info/labeling & a diagram-tutorial on how & where to place the colors. The front lid is clear/see thru so you can see which trio is which if you have more than one. The lid has a snap open/shut lid. Some are harder than others to open sometimes. The inside is where you find the 4 rectangular pans of shadows. They are all the same size. There is also a slot where they include a foam tip applicator w/ a sythentic fiber brush that has an angle. Ive never used the brush/applicator but ive seen people use it & their eyes looked good. So the packaging is far better than what they use to be. Its not the best but all i care about is if it holds my shadows safe & secure & how much product i get. Overall, i highly suggests trying the Coloricon Trios. Spoiled Brat is def a pretty trio thats versatile & can do some great looks. There is a bunch of trios to pick from some im sure you will find one you will enjoy. I love Spoiled Brat- the colors are so fun together!

Blush -Maybelline - Mineral Power Naturally Luminous Blush, all colors
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/10/2012 8:24:00 PM

I have to say that Maybelline Mineral Power blushes are actually pretty amazing for a mineral & affordable blush!! I love all the ones i own but sadly, i think they have been discontinued since i cannot find them anywhere!!! :( why does maybelline d/c all these great products... =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Maybelline Mineral Power blushes are now hard to find. You use to be able to find them in drugstores & walmart & target. so if you can find them & like them, now is the time since i cannot find them anywhere. They were reasonably priced around $5-6 depending on where & discounts. But i def picked up a few while they were on sale. if you see them on clearance, def try a shade. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The mineral power blushes are of course, a loose mineral blush. They are really soft, smooth, easy to apply. Even being a loose blush, theyre easy to work with and use & blend. They are decently pigmented, whats nice w/ mineral blushes is they are more on the sheer side but these can be built up for more intensity. Most of the colors are on the light to natural side which i love since they can be worn w/ any eye look. They have pinks, corals, peaches. I love all the colors i have so far. I am sad to see these go since i reach for them alot. I love not having to worry about applying way too much or having to use 2 different blushes & powder since i applied too much. They are gorgeous on the cheeks. They show up well but i do have really pale skin but there are more brighter vivid colors. I love the formula whats even better is there is NO SHIMMER OR GLITTER. yes these are a matte blush!! which is great since i know i love matte blushes esp when i want a toned down look. These also wear well as well. If you want them to last even longer, using a cream blush & layering will help. On their own, these will last around 6-7 hours before fading occurs which is great for a mineral blush. There are a really great blush even better that theyre mineral. But being mineral- do spot test for some people are sensitive to some formulas. I have not experienced any problems w/ these even having normal to dry sometimes sensitive skin- these are great!!! no breakouts, reactions or even exaggerating dry spots. I love the formulation of these blushes- excellent for a drugstore product. According to the site: "Mineral Power Naturally Luminous Blush with micro-minerals provides a soft, healthy glow to cheeks. With micro-minerals.Blends naturally with skin tone for a fresh flush of color. Skin looks healthy and fresh. Talc-free, lightweight formula, fragrance-free, and oil-free"..i agree totally with these statement. =PACKAGING= These Mineral Power blushes come in a standard mineral jar. The lid is a darkened black color with sticker of logo/name that twist on/off. There is a decent amount of blush that will last forever since mineral products cannot grow bacteria so you dont have to throw it away. To be exact 0.14oz or 4.5 grams which is alot!! As w/ mineral makeup, there is a sifter or holes in which the loose blush will come thru. You can use it from jar or tap into lid & then tap your brush lightly & swirl into lid so that way the blush will disperse on brush hairs evenly then tap off any excess blush then apply. The sifter isnt too small nor too big. Its easy to easy & not too messy. I love the amount of product. The jar is hard plastic with labeling/info. The shade name is located on bottom of jar w/ other info. Simple & effective packaging. Overall, i really have enjoyed all my Maybelline Mineral Power blushes. I have like the mineral line overall but have found out that they are slowly taking it away from our stores. Im really sad about it. These blushes are amazing for those who want a natural flush of color thats natural & pretty. I wish i couldve got more of these blushes. Sad to see them go. I love em all! would say id repurchase if i could but i cant find them anywhere.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Maybelline Expert Wear Eyes Eyeshadow in Silken Taupe
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/10/2012 4:21:00 PM

I have to say this is probably one of my favorite eyeshadows esp from Maybelline. I have since purchased the newer taupe shadow that theyve repackaged which is a touch darker than this one but i still love my Silken Taupe. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Maybelline ExpertWear single eyeshadows can be found in most drugstores like CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens as well as mass stores like Walmart & Target. They cost around $3-4. This will vary depending on sales, discounts as well as where you purchase them & your location. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The Maybelline ExpertWear shadows are actually getting better. I own alot of them. Silken Taupe is an older shade but still a fav. Silken Taupe has been compared to Macs Satin Taupe for a fraction of the cost. Its a tiny bit lighter than Satin Taupe but any taupe is a must for me. Taupes are universally flattering. All skin tones can pull them off. Silken Taupe is a silver gray w/ purple cool undertones. There isnt a brown undertone like some taupes. This is a cool medium taupe. This is a soft, pigmented, smooth shadow. It applies easily, blends smooth. These shadows will wear for around 5 hrs or so before fading or creasing but of course, id suggest Priming your eyes & maybe even using a cream base. If i use a primer, this shadow will stay put for more than 8 hrs without fading or creasing. Oily lids should def prime your eyes. I think the pigmentation, formula & longevity is great on such an affordable shadow. I think if you dont have money to get the HE taupe shadows, try this first. I love Silken Taupe. Its a great color for all over the lid, even darkened in the crease. Its a stand alone shadow. This is great for smoky or even day time looks. This is just a gorgeous, beautiful shadow!!! I am glad they added this, i know they have a new taupe since they have reformulated & repackaged their shadows, its called Tastefully Taupe i think which is also nice, if you cant find this since i think they replaced it with the Tastefully taupe. Also, Its similar to the taupe included in the Natural Smokes quad. =PACKAGING= The Maybelline ExpertWear single shadows come in the standard Maybelline packaging which is a hard plastic rectangular compact. The lid snaps shut/open. The backing is a black glossy color w/ a sticker w/ all the labeling/info/shade name. The lid is see thru w/ maybelline logo & a sticker that connects to back w/ shade name & number. Inside- there is a rectangular pan of shadow which is a decent amount of product. to be exact 2.6 grams or 0.09oz of shadow which is alot!! There is also a slot/area where they have included a foam tip applicator which i dont use but some people enjoy them & they do work in a pinch. The packaging isnt the best but not the worst. It keeps the shadows safe, i just care about the shadow inside & if its safe. I may depot my maybelline shadows someday but otherwise, it works. Overall, I love love love Silken Taupe. I am sad they have replaced it with Tastefully Taupe, they are both pretty & i think must haves but im glad i got to try them both. I def suggests trying the single shadows since they are pretty great. (i know WNW shadow really raised the bar for drugstore companies but i know that its possible) but Silken Taupe or Tastefully Taupe is def a shadow to own!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Single Eyeshadow Wild Wheat
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/10/2012 2:51:00 PM

I cannot belive the low scores or bad reviews on this color esp. Now i know the Elf Studio Singles are the best but they def are not the worst..i think they are pretty decent but i esp love Wild Wheat, its a very nice shadow in my opinion- =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Elf Studio single Eyeshadows are available on the Elf website under the studio eye collection. The Elf Studio eyeshadows will cost you $3 each. The price is pretty great considering you get alot of product!! These are also available at some Targets. Availability will vary depending on your location. The price may also vary depending on sale. Id suggests getting these when they have their studio sales or look online for a coupon code. I know recently people have found these at their Dollar Tree stores which is awesome. Mine dont have them! =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The Elf Studio eyeshadow singles are a great affordable shadow. These are decently pigmented, but some can be a bit more sheerer than others. Wild Wheat is a gorgeous golden light bronze wheat color. Its a nice light tone to help blend out colors in the crease. I love using this as a blending color for its more natural toned. This is great for those w/ light to medium skin for blending purposes. This also makes a great light wash all over for simple clean polished look. Wild Wheat is a staple in my opinion & i bought a back up since i def dont ever want to be w/out it again, it took me forever to find a my skin tone but a touch darker color. There is somewhat of a shimmer throughout but tapping brush will basically knock off all the shimmer throughout since its not too much, it ends up being more on the satin side of finish. the Elf studio shadows are not the softest shadows but some are softer than others & nicer. For the msot part, these are soft, easy to apply & blend & pigmented. Some are sheer but all can be built up for more intensity. A primer of some sort is a must. (elf eyelid primer works great) since primer will help w/ pigmentation as well as performance. On their own, they are quite good. They wear on normal lids for around 5 hours before fading. but use a primer (elf eyelid primer $1 is awesome) and these will stay put for at least 7-8 hrs before fading or creasing. I esp like to use a cream base for these to stick to so their even more pigmented!! Wild Wheat is nice alone & a simple but needed in your collection!! =PACKAGING= The Elf Studio Eyeshadows come in the prettiest packaging, almost like Nars packaging. They come in a small flat black rectangular compact. There is a see thru window on front so this makes it nice to see what color is inside esp if you own more than 1 shadow. There is a really small circular sticker on back w/ shade name as well. The Elf logo & label is written in white writing. Inside is where you find a really small mirror that could work in a pinch. on backing is where you will find a whole huge pan of eyeshadow. The pan runs deep so this means you get ALOT of shadow actually 0.09oz which is about 2 grams. i like that theres no foam tip applicator that ends up taking up a bulk of the packaging for something people rarely use- meaning we get more shadow!!! yay!! I love the pretty packaging that looks like Nars for i feel rich!! hehe. I really do find the packaging, sleek, chic, compact, convienent- just all around nice. Unlke most of the Elf studio line packaging, this isnt bulky at all. I may eventually depot all mine to one palette but i dont think i will soon. Since i love the look of each shadow. Its just more practical to have them all together. Overall, the elf studio shadows are pretty great. Esp if you get them on sale. I own them all. I hope they continue to put out more gorgeous colors to add to this collection. I love Wild Wheat- its one of my most used shadows. Its a nice neutral beige/golden/bronze sandy color. Like a plain of wheat- thats what it reminds me of.. And yes i will most definetly repurchase this shadow (i already have a backup) over and over again!!!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Idol Eyes Creme Shadow - Graphite
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/10/2012 1:07:00 PM

Well i cant say this is the best base ive tried nor can i say its a cheap alternative to even the NYX Jumbo pencils but for those on a budget & those with normal lids (oily lid girls, beware-STAY CLEAR OF THESE!) =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The WetnWild Idol Eyes creme Pencils can be found wherever your WNW products are sold. I can find mine in my local drugstores like Rite Aid, CVS, & Walgreens as well as some Walmart stores. and whats great is these are only $1.99!! and cheaper if you can get them on sale. Price & availability will vary depending on your location. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The Idol Eyes Creme Pencils are a shadow stick made for convience in a pencil form like the NYX Jumbo Pencils. But the formula is different than those. The WNW pencils come in a plastic pencil (so yes it will be difficult to try to sharpen them. ive never tried, ive always just ended up depotting mine but ill explain later in the packaging section. The formula is more of a waxy feel than the NYX but some of the pencils are better than others. These glide on to the eye area w/ ease. You can apply straight to the eye w/ pencil or even w/ your finger or brush. I suggests working in thin layers & building up if needed rather than having too much for any cream product will crease the more you put on. These are made to wear alone or topped w/ powder shadow. W/ these being more creamy than others, i def suggests setting these w/ either powder shadows or even a face powder. I dont think these will last long on anyone w/ oily lids. I have normal lids & dont find these crease or fade too fast. I always put on Eye primer first as well. This will help w/ longevity & performance. Wearing these alone will end up in fading or even creasing. So the formula i think could be a tad better but i can work w/ them. I like them for bases. i have a youtube video on how to depot & add a few things to them to make them last long & be great cream bases! (youtube channel: Christinaanna5) Graphite is a great glossy black color. Its great for dark smoky looks or even lining the lashlines & blending out for looks. I like this as a cheaper alternative to Blackbean Jumbo pencil even though theyre different. I can get some good smoky looks with Graphite. There is only a few colors from the range- Graphite is the darkest, being a nice black cream shadow stick. (Pixie is also a must in my opinion, reminds me alot of Skinny Jeans creaseless cream shadow, color wise) So if you are interested in a cheap cream base, give these a shot. Prime lids & set with powder. I dont suggests for oily lids though, im sure you will hate them if you do. =PACKAGING= These pencils come in harden plastic pencil. These are nearly impossible to sharpen which makes them a pain. So i always end up depotting them (just like Jumbo pencils) The plastic tubing is the same color as the shadow color itself. So Graphite has a black pencil. They all have silver metallic logo/info. The size is on the smaller side but still alot of cream shadow inside. The tip is more rounded at first but once you get down through it- unless you find a way to sharpen them, you may not have the convenience of the pencil stick. Sometimes also, check for cracked/broken tips in the stores. They are wrapped in cellophane paper which ensures no contamination. The shade name is also on the pencil itself. I like the ease of using a cream pencil but eventually you wont be able to so i cannot say these are that good in the packaging department, sadly. If they made the pencils smaller or easier to sharpen, id gladly give a better score. But for the little cost, im willing to work w/ them. Overall, Graphite is a nice black cream base to have. Its a nice dark black to use for those smoky looks. I love using a metallic purple, green or blue on top of this & it looks amazing. So you will have to use a primer & set these but thats what you need to do w/ most all cream bases so i knew that. I love Graphite & wish WNW would come out w/ more colors & esp more neutral & earth tone colors & matte colors. it be great for them to do that. I have all the available colors & enjoy them all. So if you dont have much money to spend & want some fun cream shadow sticks to try, these are great affordable choice!

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Custom Eyes - Driftwood
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/8/2012 2:01:00 PM

The Elf Element Shadows are for real, one of the best products Elf offers yet noone really talks about them. They are far better than the $1 quads, their studio shadows. I just cant believe how great these really are. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Elf Element Eyeshadows are available within the Elf Essentials $1 line which makes these yes $1!!! its unbelievable that these are so cheap & affordable. Also can be found at some Target stores & Sears Grand but this will vary depending on your location. But for the price- these shadows are amazing!!! =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= According to the Elf Site: "The luxuriously smooth and highly pigmented, silky formula provides eyes with an awakened brightness for a long-lasting wear. Choose your favorite colors that best compliment your style and insert them into the Custom Compact for a totally personalize palette!" The formula of these shadows is superb. They are pigmented, soft, smooth, apply well, blend well. They are not chalky. They all do have somewhat of a metallic finish to them. I do wish they would come out w/ loads more with different finishes. But i do have to say these are really nice to work with. They are pigmented, true to color in the pan w/ no chunks or filler. The have a great selection so far of colors to make so many different looks. Most are earth tone colors with some soft colors as well. I love all of them- gorgeous colors. So onto the new color- Driftwood is a gorgeous darkened gold w/ bronze undertones. Its so unique and very pretty all over the lid. Its similar to Wheat but darker. Reminds me of Toasted from Urban Decay. Its a great addition to the shadows & paired with a dark blue or brown, wow! So gorgeous!!! =PACKAGING= The Elf Element Eyeshadows are available to use within the Elf Custom Palette. The palette is made to fit 4 28mm pans- yes the same size of a Mac shadow. These come boxed in cardboard as well as inside a plastic case. I store mine in the Elf Palette/Quad. Its a great quad to own since you can add any 4 shadows you would like. The backing of the individual shadows is a magnet w/ sticker of shade name. These are great single shadows that you can add to your palette cases or buy one for $1 on the Elf site. I love that you can get a $1 eyeshadow that def compared to those that are $13 or more. I love these shadows.. They are absolutely amazing! Overall, i think everyone should def add these shadows to your collection and enjoy them as much as i do. There are 4 new shadows in this collection & i was so excited to try them & all 4 of them are gorgeous colors. The four new ones, Navy, Aubergine, Wheat & Driftwood- great additions to the amazing colors they already have. Driftwood is so pretty and such a great color. Id repurchase this one esp since its so pretty! Overall,

Great for all over the lid. I think this is gorgeous earth tone shade. Paired w/ a dark maroons, blues, browns, wow! its a nice addition to the rest & can def be used daily w/ so many different looks. =PACKAGING= The Elf Element Eyeshadows are available to use within the Elf Custom Palette. The four new ones, Navy, Aubergine, Wheat & Driftwood- great additions to the amazing colors they already have. Wheat is so pretty and such a great color. Id repurchase this one esp since its so pretty!

Blush -E.L.F. - Mineral Blush
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/8/2012 12:41:00 PM

I at one point got into mineral makeup and the Elf Mineral blushes were on sale so i decided to give a few a try, well i picked up two and im really glad i did. I did previously purchase a few Maybelline mineral power blushes which are great themselves but now they are being discontinued or my stores arent carrying the Mineral line but i love Elf products more than most companies so im glad to see they have the Mineral line.. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Elf Mineral blushes are available on the Elf website under the mineral line for $5. it does seem like a tad expensive for Elf but the mineral line is more expensive overall but for what you get, its def worth it & im a frugal makeup buyer. I suggests waiting for a sale or look for mineral makeup coupons which i did, i ended up buying them for 50% off so for less than $3 its def worth it even more!!! unfortunately, Elf mineral line is not available other than online on their site. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= According to the Elf site: "Create a subtle color definition to your cheeks that will add radiance and a glow, for a healthy look you can see. All our blushes are 100% mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes." I find the formula on the blushes to be amazing, def soft, smooth, easy to apply and blend. I love mineral blushes since they are better for more sensitive skin types like myself. The blushes are soft & no matter what brush i use, they apply & blend on the cheeks amazingly. These are mineral based blushes so most skin types can use these & enjoy them. There are no parabens or preservatives which means these will also last forever since bacteria cannot grow in them. I will def purchase more of them in the future. Since they are mineral blushes, they are loose which at first was a tad more work but i ended up enjoying them more since they can go on more sheer but can be built up for more intensity. i have super pale skin & these are awesome since most blushes are too much. i really do enjoy these blushes. I only have 2 shades out of 7 and want the rest. the Elf site is a bit off on their swatches so check online for more accurate swatches/colors. I only have two but enjoy them both so much. I own: Rose- this a true rose colored blush. Its medium toned but can be sheered out or built up. Its not too dark but perfect for the fall or winter season. but could def be used all year round. this blush can be worn w/ most eye looks w/out looking to dramatic. I love Rose w/ my pale skin since it makes me look healthy & glowing. This blush is more on the matte side w/ little to no shimmer throughout. i dont see any shimmer in this. Coral- a true coral color thats matte. I love this color since its great for spring & summer. great for awakening the skin & making me look healthy & like i laughed for hours. I love that it can go on sheer or built up for more color. =PACKAGING= The packaing on the Elf Mineral line is sleek, simple & works great. It reminds me alot of the Bare Minerals or any other mineral line makeup but for a fraction of the cost. They come in a clear see thru jar w/ a flat black twist on lid w/ the Elf logo in white writing. The shade name/info is located on the bottom in black writing. i love that they didnt use a small little sticker since it makes it easier to see/read & also looks more expensive. These have a great sifter to allow the blush to come out. Like all other mineral makeup, there is holes which allow you to tap out a little blush at a time & then tap & swirl brush into lid. This will allow the blush to coat the brush & tapping will knock off any excess. I only punch thru 3 or 4 holes at a time but even if you take off the whole sticker that initially covers the sifter, storing this upright will help cut down on the mess that will happen when the product keeps coming out. I store mine upright so there is little to no mess. I tap the jar to allow a tiny bit of blush to come out into lid, tap brush & apply. There is a TON of blush in this jar, 12oz. Considering you only need a tiny bit for each application, this jar will last me FOREVER! thats why i really do love mineral makeup! These are pretty and look like their expensive dupes. Overall, the Elf Mineral Blushes are amazing, soft, smooth, pigmented, great for all skin tones & types! I def suggests trying these if you are interested in mineral makeup but dont want to pay an arm & a leg. I have tried Bare Minerals or Bare Escentuals blushes & Elf stands right up there with them. They have 7 great basic blushes that im sure everyone will love & enjoy. i will def repurchase these over & over again & cant wait to try out all the other colors i dont have yet! Def great addition to my blush collection & i know these will get used alot but ill have them forever!

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Lipstick
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/8/2012 11:53:00 AM

Wow, these lipsticks are actually pretty good.. i am not a lipstick or gloss girl at all, i own some but do not wear it daily, sometimes ill throw on a lipstick but mostly i skip them since i do have extremely dry chapped lips all year round. I dunno if its from allergies or what... =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The Elf Lipsticks are only $1 from the Essential line. These are super cheap and affordable that i had to try them. These are available of course on the Elf website in the Essential line under lips. These are also available at some Targets, Sears Grand stores and i have seen occasional shades in some Dollar Trees. It will of course depend on your area/stores. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= Elf website says: "Indulge your lips with long lasting color and shine. The moisture rich formula hydrates, conditions and softens on contact for silky smooth lips. Instantly beautiful, healthy-looking lips designed, formulated and tested by our professional team of makeup artists." There are 12 available shades which are all so pretty from nudes, pinks, red, peaches, corals..there are 12 shades so Im sure you will find one for you. I own 4 of them so far & plan to get more at some point. The formula is so soft & creamy. Great for lips like mine that normally look hideous w/ any lipstick since they look cracky, cakey & horrible but w/ a good chapstick/balm, then apply these. They glide on w/ easy and are more on the hydrating side than most lipsticks ive tried. Ive tried alot. Im surprised how soft & creamy & nice they feel on my lips for $1. I love how the stay on, not waxy or sticky. They dont have long staying power but no less or more than any other lipstick ive tried. These will stay put for at least 2-3 hours before fading happens. So you may have to Reapply like i always end up doing no matter what lipstick i wear. Also, i suggest, blotting & powdering lips if you really want to layer & make these lipsticks stay for a long while. I just really love how affordable & gorgeous these are. I also want to suggests to try these as Cream blushes. (i did a video on youtube how to depot these & mix up your own cream blushes, the formula is nice on these unlike some more waxy slippy lipsticks.) I love the colors i own so far. I know the Elf site is off on their swatches of their lipsticks/products so id suggests to google search real life swatches so you can see what color you are actually getting.Of the few i own so far, i have to say, i love em all! Nostalgic- a nice soft pinky nude thats on the cool side. I love this for a smoky eye since it tones down the look. great for daytime or nite time.. a nice soft nude Charming- this is almost like Nostalgic but a tad more pink & a tad darker but not too much. this is another nude color that i def think everyone would love Classy- a cool toned soft baby pink.. its a gorgeous color for everyday wear no matter what look this lipstick is so pretty with it. nothing dramatic or intense Seductive- a true baby pink with cool undertones. darker than classy but not too much. Its nice for everyday as well. its my lips but better lipstick. great for any look I know im not good at explaining colors so im sorry. its hard for me to tell the differences between lipsticks but i tried. I know there are great swatches out there of these. Ill def post a swatch picture as soon as possible. I have to say i really like the formula on these, the performance is great too, not the best but better than some, the smell is a candy orange scent w/ a hint of vanilla. It smells good to me & almost disappears immediately. They dont taste or smell bad, i like it actually! =PACKAGING= The packaging is where this lipsticks goes wrong. Its not so bad but it annoys me sometimes. These come in a silver tube with clear tubing & slide on lid. Its simple & cute but the tube doesnt hold the lipstick securely. Meaning sometimes the stick will crack since the tubing isnt securely around the stick itself. ive had some that were good while others cracked as soon as i twisted them up. These are mechanical twist up lipsticks. You do get a good amount of lipstick- 3.5grams. So other than the not so great packaging, i can deal with it since these are great. The Elf logo is on the silver part of the tube and the shade name is located on the bottom of tube on a sticker. Overall, These are FANTASTIC lipsticks and even more amazing for $1- the colors they have are awesome and pretty and so wearable. They have any color you want and i hope they continue to put out more. I def think these are worth trying & playing around with. Like i said, the formula is also awesome to try for cream blushes. I really do enjoy these and will continue to repurchase and try the newer shades. I def want to try a more red or berry one next!! I love em and wish they got some more credit since ive tried more expensive ones that dried the heck out of my lips & looked awful- these are great!

Eye Shadow -L.A. Colors - Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow (all colors)
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/7/2012 9:17:00 PM

oH how i love LA Colors!! i really do, their products are absolutely amazing! The Shimmering Loose Powders are gorgeous and so awesome! =PRICE-AVAILABILITY= The LA Colors products can be found in my area at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar. It will depend on your area but i have also seen some products at Five Below as well as online at Cherry Culture and Ebay. I def suggests checking the Dollar Tree. Whats best about LA Colors is their products are super duper cheap and affordable. I pay $1 for the loose shimmering eyeshadows. Unreal for such a great product. A great alternative to expensive pigments/loose shadows. I love em. Cannot believe they are $1!!! =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= I love all the great colors they have to offer. I have all available shadow colors & theyre great! According to LA Colors site- A gorgeous collection of FUN, SHIMMERING, METALLIC shades with brush applicator that adds sparkle to your eyes. Made with ultra fine powders for long lasting, radiant color. Applies on smoothly with INTENSE color!- I cannot find all 15 colors but i have 6which are the only ones i can find. I wish i could find more bc id def pick them up but all the colors i own of course have a metallic shimmer to them so for those who dont like shimmer- these arent for you. I dont mind them since i own matte shadows that can tone this down. I find tapping the brush a bit will knock off most of the bigger pieces leaving a nice metallic finish. These are great dry & even prettier foiled or wet. I mainly use them dry since im lazy but id def suggest trying them wet once. I find these apply nicely w/ minimal fallout considering their loose shadows. Def watch using darker colors. I know pressing them def makes them easier. I find on their own, super pigmented & true to color. Can be sheered out if needed or built up for vivid color. They stay put for at least 7-8 hrs w/ primer of course & id def suggests using cream base w/ these since loose shadows/pigments always apply & stay alot better when they have something to grab & stick to. So great pigmentation, the shadows are soft, not chalky. I find these to be good quality. They seem to match my Elf Mineral Shadows so if you like those, you can work w/ these as well. The apply & blend easily. Great shadows. So onto the colors i own: Snow White- a great shimmery white. Its not stark white but more sheer. is great for tear duct highlighting. so pretty to open up the eyes. Sunshine- like its name, its a gorgeous true gold. its a vivid yellow gold. i have a golden loose shadow but this is true yellow toned gold. so great for summer Lollipop- a great true cool toned pink. its bright & fun. its a nice pink that wont make you look sickly since its a bright vivid cool toned pink Honey Suckle- this is probably my favorite since its a more neutral earthy tone color. Its unique in the way its a golden bronzey pink. Its more of a rose gold great for everyday looks. will def use this one up first since its great to add to smoky brown looks for a gorgeous metallic finish. its lighter in shade than Radiant but along the same scheme Radiant- a great bronzey brown. its a medium tone bronze golden brown. great also to add to smoky brown looks. this color is def a must have since its easy to work w/ and can be used w/ many looks Black Pearl- wow, a dark super pigmented black. i thought it end up being a charcoal gray but no def a black. this is a great multipurpose loose black shadow. this one can be used for smoky looks & great for wetting to make a pigmented black liner. i pressed this & use it alot to set black liners. =PACKAGING= Now sadly this is where the product falls really short unfortunately.. i hate to lower my score since i do really like these but i hate the packaging. These come in a clear see thru hard plastic container. The labeling/info/logo is in black writing. The lid is unique- its a twist of cap with a ring/circle to pull out to the attached brush. The brush is awful since it doesnt fit into the alloted space/hole and the opening gets narrow to allow the brush to pick up limited shadow but the brush gets stuck and frayed. (if you have seen the NYC Cosmetics loose shadows, its like them exactly but a bit worse) So its rather useless. The lid does twist off to the brush/lid. It does keep the shadow safe & secure but it also keeps it from coming out at all. So my suggestion- YouTube search how to depot your LA Colors shimmering shadows- its what i did. I depotted all mine since its much easier to use them now since i didnt use them much in their orinigal containers/jar. I have also pressed mine as well. (i used alcohol w/ a drop of BioSilk Silk Therapy knock off yes theres youtube videos too on this) and they worked extremely well! So other than its packaging, these are great cheap super cheap alternatives to pigments. If you can get past the packaging meaning depot them or use them as is somehow, I know i enjoy them very much! Overall, def try these out if you are interested in pigmented or playing w/ loose shadows. These were my way of learning how to press pigments or loose shadows w/out worrying if id waste a lot of money. I think they hold up there w/ the NYX Pearl shadows. Def an alternative if you arent sure. These are so much fun to play around w/ but also are great to make some gorgeous looks with!

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - French Fries
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/5/2012 10:04:00 AM

Wow, i absolutely think the NYX Jumbo Pencils are awesome. I have reviewed these overall and a few other shades particularly so if you are interested, check out my other reviews. I am a very poor girl & put off getting any Jumbo Pencils for a little while since theyre not readily available to me & after shipping cost, they can be a little bit more than id hope to pay for them. But last year w/ NYX Annual sale, CherryCulture did a 50% off sale so i purchased a few then. =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= I personally cannot purchase these anywhere close, other than an Ulta about an hour away which seems impractical to drive there for these or really anything, online ends up being more cost effective. So these can be found in some local stores depending on your location as well as alot of places online. I ordered mine from CherryCulture from their site But most of the time they are on sale on Cherry Culture. So check around for cheapest price. I bought mine for around $3 or so. Generally speaking these are priced around $4 each which to me sometimes seemed expensive but really for how much you get, its not that bad at all. I put off buying any for awhile & now i think its worth around $3-4.. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= French Fries is a great neutral bronzey brown metallic pencil. Its great to use even on its own for a brown smoky look or paired w/ brown shadows. It makes them stand out & look more vivid. The metallic finish gives texture to matte shadows or add depth to more metallic or satin shadows. Its so gorgeous. One of my favorite brown cream shadows. I love the unique color since i dont have one thats like it. I have bronze shadows but this one has a golden bronze shade to it. Gorgeous! i was nervous since i wanted to purchase ones i could get alot of use out of & this one i can def use alot! The formula on these is that of a cream shadow in stick form. These are not hard that they pull on the eye. They glide on very nicely. They do contain wax so be careful esp if you have oily lids. I have normal to dry & these do not crease. These can be placed on your eye easily in pencil form. I love the tip for more precise placement but sharpening can be a pain. You can apply these by drawing straight onto eye w/ pencil, you can use your finger from crayon to eye or use finger to blend, you can also use a brush. Any way, these go on nice. I find using my finger or brush to blend them helps significantly since the warmth will blend/move these into a nice even layer so that way, no bunches that will inevitably crease. If you have oily lids, these will not stay on their own. I highly suggests everyone to first use an eye primer (to provide a barrier between oils & lid) then using these. I rarely use these alone, i almost always top with some sort of eyeshadow or even using your face powder, dusting all over lid will helps so much too! I use these as cream bases for my powder shadows to adhere to & these do an excellent job at that. They help my shadows look even more pigmented, add texture & different undertones show thru, they also keep my shadows on longer. These on their own may hold up on normal lids for hours, depending. I have used them on their own for a quick summer look & they faded a bit but still looked pretty good. It all depends on your skin type but def use primer, USE THIN LAYERS its better to have to build up then have to wipe it all off & start all over. I think these are excellent cream bases. I love them. They make all my cheap eyeshadows look incredible! =PACKAGING= I like that these come in a harden plastic eyeshadow stick. I know sharpening them are a pain though. If you find a sharpener that works, great.. Ive yet to try to sharpen them yet. I know there are many videos too of how to depot them. Im not sure which way I will go- sharpen them or depot. I like the stick form but then again, it may be more practical to depot them. The sticks are white, with black labeling & info. They have a clear plastic lid that slides on/off. The lid fits pretty securely w/out falling off. I think these are really convenient if you keep them in pencil form. They contain a good amount of product. Ive had mine for quite some time & havent had to sharpen them too many times & i havent reached the point where i have to sharpen the stick or depot them. But so far, the sticks havent dried up at all & i hope they dont! Overall,

Eyes -NYX - Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils- All
rated 4 of 5
Christinaann5 1/3/2012 9:39:00 AM

Ok i have reviews for individual colors that i own so far so if you would a more in depth review on those, check my other reviews but decided i should review overall, =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= I personally cannot purchase these anywhere close, other than an Ulta about an hour away which seems impractical to drive there for these or really anything, online ends up being more cost effective. So these can be found in some local stores depending on your location as well as alot of places online. I ordered mine from CherryCulture from their site when NYX was having their annual sale (so glad i didnt do it on their site since i heard it was a mess) But most of the time they are on sale on Cherry Culture. So check around for cheapest price. I bought mine for around $3 or so. Generally speaking these are priced around $4 each which to me sometimes seemed expensive but really for how much you get, its not that bad at all. I put off buying any for awhile & now i think its worth around $3-4.. =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The shade selection is GREAT! i think thats the best part about the pencils, they have basically any color you can think of. I def suggest getting Milk, its a staple color i think everyone should own first since it can be used for any look/shadow. Then the rest is up to your preferences. I LOVE yogurt..it reminds me of Stila Kitten pot or shadow. Great color. But wether you want a neutral, dark, bright, vivid, toned down color, NYX will have it. If you still arent sure, google them, people have put up wonderful pictures & swatches! these helped me so much for i didnt want to regret the shades i picked. I def want more now! Overall, These pencils are pretty great! if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to say Paintpots or aqua creams, (im not saying these are dupes but the same idea) I have a paintpot & love but still dunno if id ever spend that much again but they are pretty great but i can live with the jumbo pencils! i love em & they work for me! i def want to pick up more colors!

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Heather Silk
rated 5 of 5
Christinaann5 1/1/2012 11:22:00 PM

WOWOWOWOW! how can people dislike these blushes?? i can see everyone being able to use & appreciate these but i guess to each their own but as an only drugstore/cheap makeup lover Ive appreciated WNW new releases/formulas since now i will never yearn to spend 20x more money for something just like it.. HE makeup isnt all its hyped up to be most of the time for me... =PRICE/AVAILABILITY= The WetnWild Coloricon Blushes are available wherever your WNW products are sold. Mainly in drugstores like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid as well as some Walmarts. This will vary depending on your location as well as price. The price is typically only $2.99!! super cheap & affordable for the most pigmented blushes from the drugstore, its unreal! if wnw can charge this, how come other companies cant? Also the price can vary with sales/discounts. Which makes it even better! =SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE= The WNW Coloricon blushes as i stated, are the best & most pigmented blushes from the drugstore! The formula is also amazing! The blushes are soft, pressed well & are the smooth as butter in powder form. The apply so nicely & blend great. For those girls like myself that have super pale vampire skin i suggest either using the lightest touch of blush or even better a duo fiber brush & then a kabuki to blend it out. This is needed since all 4 colors are super duper pigmented. Thats why i suggets these for all from the light to dark skin tones, they will show up. Some may be lighter or darker on the cheeks but all 4 colors are super pretty. Heather Silk is probably my fav of all since its the brightest of the 4 and its matte fuschia pink. Its amazing on my cheeks since it makes me look healthy & like i laughed for hours. I love it! Its a great blush to add to your collection. Its a medium toned fushica pink w/ purple cool undertones to it w/ no shimmer. BEAUTIFUL!!! Its performance is also great! it stays put for hours & hours with little to almost no fading. this will also depend on your skin type. I have normal to dry skin.i also use face primer & most of the time a cream blush but i find w/ these super pigmented blushes, they are best on their own on my skin. This will stay put for over 8 hrs & still look great! Best blush from drugstore in my opinion. Def try Heather Silk..its so pretty! =PACKAGING= The WetnWild Coloricon blushes come in a hard sturdy plastic compact. The lid is see thru w/ sticker w/ shade name on it at top and the back is black with a sticker w/ info, labeling & logo. The lid opens & shuts easily. Its not the best packaging but it holds/stores the blush safely & ive traveled w/ these & theyve held up w/ no cracking. The pan size is decent size. I wish they'd just quit giving us crappy brushes but it comes w/ one if needed. Its pretty crappy. i threw mine out. The pan is square shaped & trust me it will last forever since you only need to tap lightly for both cheeks. ive yet to hit pan on any of mine. The blush itself has a swirled patterned/engravement on top. it does not run the whole way thru but its still so pretty that i almost dont want to disturb it. Overall, This is such a gorgeous pretty amazing blush!!! will i repurchasing?? um, heck ya!! these are the best & i will continue to pray that WNW will give us all more shades in this range to buy. These are awesome! and no more Limited Edition items, its annoying since hardly noone can get them.. Give us some more of these super amazing blushes!
