Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
Boxerface 10/15/2011 7:31:00 PM
Revlon Photo Ready in Vanilla 002. A fantastic pump that works great. I wish all foundations came this way. It is a perfect foundation if (A HUGE IF) you have even toned perfect skin and want to have a dewy appearance. I have mild roseacea and sensitive skin that can break out easily. I need full coverage or heavier coverage. This feel like full as it goes on and covers but within 1/2 hour is starts to get lighter and even my pores will be seen. Again perfect for perfect skin and those wanting a dewy long lasting look. For those of us with larger pores and ruddy redness, this foundation is not for you. If your skin is rough and not perfectly smooth this foundation is not for you, as it will show every minor bump. My daugther has fantastic pale skin, with a smooth texture and this foundation looks AMAZING on her. Truly awesome. Not for me in my 40s. I tried mixing this foundation with Revlon color stay because I like the color Vanilla better than the buff. It works better when mixed but be sure to really mix it well. Or use PR over color stay.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Mineral Oil
Boxerface 10/24/2010 8:15:00 PM
Good Old Mineral Oil. Fantastic! I am stunned at how well it takes my makeup off. Truly stunned. I only need a small amount to rub all over my face. The size of a quarter. I then wash with my cleanser and the cleanser is able to do it's job. I have even used Mineral oil to pre-wash my makeup brushes, it truly works. And for the money it can't hurt to try it. Before using Mineral Oil, I tried Olive oil. Olive oil is far better to put on after you cleanse. For some strange reason Mineral oil works better on me as a make up remover. I am thrilled. My skin type is sensitive, mild roseaca, over 40 with dryness around the eye area and mild hormonal acne. I was a bit worried to try this but after using it, I wake in the morning with skin that looks and feels beautiful. Okay I won't ever have that 20 year old glow but I feel pretty again.

Liquid -Cover Girl - TRUblend Liquid Makeup (12/2007 reformulation)
Boxerface 12/15/2009 8:03:00 AM
This True Blend Cover Girl is amazing. My daughter was using Rev Color Stay but this broke her out. She decided to try CG True blend in the lightest shade 405. Ivory I did not realize she had make up on. and asked her "Wow, what have you been using on your skin it looks great?" She replied "Mom, I am using the True blend I just bought. I love it. It looks like I am not wearing make up and evens out my skin." I am so happy for my daughter. She has SUPER sensitive skin on the dry side. So light she looks white like paper. So if she has a break out or chapped lips it really shows. She uses Ponds sensitive skin cream before putting this foundation on. Because her skin is so dry she needs this. My daughter likes make up to breath. True Blend seems to have a cream like texture without drying or causing oily issues. It does not dry quickly like Rev Color stay so you can really blend and work with it. It is a great make up for sensitive dry skin. I am fearful of Drug store makeup for sensitive skin types but I am wonderfully happy so far. I am going to stuff some in her stocking for Christmas. This is gentle stuff. She is not breaking out, it matches her light skin perfectly and gives her light coverage without the heavy stuff. Love it on her. Not sure if it is for all skin types. I am a combo oily with mild rosacea so this may not work for me at all. I will write more later. If you have serious acne this may not be for you. If you have mild acne the occasional pimple this might be perfect for you. My daughter has procelain white skin with very little acne. It seems to be her HG.

Eyeliner -Cover Girl - Perfect Point Plus Eyeliners - Grey-Khaki
Boxerface 12/9/2009 8:17:00 PM
Okay Covergirl I love the self sharpening and it is a tiny, tiny point but it does not work for me. It is too light. I bought the Grey Khaki and I am very fair skin toned. So if this is for a light skin toned person how much lighter. Paper white? I am pretty darn close. But it is perfect for filling in brows if you have khaki brown eyebrows. The tiny lines are perfect for drawing little brow marks and shapening them. In fact I wonder if this is for brows and not to be used as an eyeliner. ??? I wonder if I am mistaken in how to use it. The pencil goes on easily, does not smuge or fade. It works but is too light for my skin tone. I won't buy it again. I love the self sharpening feature just not the quality.

Eyeliner -Cover Girl - Perfect Blend Eye Pencil
Boxerface 12/9/2009 8:10:00 PM
I have never been a huge fan of Cover girl. I think it is from the days of watching my grandmother use the old fashioned green make up bag. Some strange memory. Maybe i got it in my eye or something. So, I was reluctant to try this eyeliner. But, low and behold it is a great eyeline. Make sure you have a good sharpener this is my one pet peeve. If you don't have a good sharpener the pencil is a pain in the behind. I love the Brushed Pewter. It glides on like an auto pencil even though it's not. The texture is wonderful. It blends and smooths into shading wonderfully. It does not pull, tug or wear off. Love how it looks and works. I have brown hazel eyes and this gray pewter makes my eyes pop. I have the basic black but the Brushed Pewter is so much better for me. Don't bother with the black it won't be any different than any other black you have. I just wish it came in a self sharpening case. Cover girl I am back and ready to try some new colors.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
Boxerface 12/9/2009 8:03:00 PM
L'Oreal has a great product at a simple price. Does the trick of making my lashes look full and rich. I use the Brown Black. When I see this on sale I grab it other times I only buy when I need it. Does not flake, itch, rub off or bother my eyes in any way. And my eyes are sensitive. Love the look it gives me and will always hang on to this brand.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
Boxerface 12/9/2009 7:56:00 PM
This Mascara is brilliant. It works. Nothing exotic, it make the lashes stand out, and for some reason look more black than some of the other products I have used. Perhaps the ingredients are different. I like how it makes my lashes look. It also has a nice smell which I never knew masacaras to have before. washes off easily but this may be because it is not the waterproof version. I found this did not flake, or rub off at all. Even with oil undercream. Amazing. Try it you can find it at Target, Wal-mart maybe even the grocery store. In general there is a rule that says spend less on mascara and more on a good foundation. This Mascara is as good as the expensive and looks like it in the long black case with a red tip on the end. Pretty!! But super cheap $5.99

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Define-A-Line in Slate Gray
Boxerface 12/9/2009 7:48:00 PM
Good Ole Mabelline does it again. One of those simple eyeliners that really works. I bought this on a whim and seeing it did not need to be sharpend thought it could not hurt to buy. And I must say very happy. Gentle, no sharpening, stays, stays and stays. The grey color looks beautiful on my eyes and I have rather flat boring eyes. This color does the trick. The funny part is that I usually spend lots of money on good eyeliners from Estee Lauder but this is as good and for the price you can get three. I went back and bought the Brownish Black and Brown all three colors work for my hazel eyes and light skin.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Signature Hydra Lustre-Copper glow
Boxerface 12/8/2009 8:29:00 PM
I fell in love with the Hydra EL lipsticks when I got this color for free with a purchase ages ago. I am a warm to light skin tone girl. I can wear this lipstick with no other makeup and wow I look great. Of course I need mu but that is how great this color looks on someone with light skin and peach warm undertones. The color lasts surprising well and blends nicely. It does not go on sharp but because it is so rich with moisture it blends like a great skin cream. Expensive for me as I don't like to pay more than $10 for a lipstick. This was about $18 for each. I already bought this again in two other colors. I am hoping to get this in Mocha next. You'll love it see if you can get a sample first.

Shampoo -Goldwell - Definition Color & Highlights Shampoo
Boxerface 12/2/2009 6:25:00 PM
This Shampoo is expensive. Did it keep my color? It helped. This was during the summer when the sun takes a beating on hair color. A little goes a long way. But, it seems as though it is not rinsing all the way but apparently it is. I am not a big time swimmer nor do I sit in the sun for long periods of time. I usually have a baseball hat on playing sports so I can not say that the sun really could damage my hair much. I must admit I prefer the smells of Garnier, Aussie, Bed Head, Clairol Herbal Essense, Sauve Knock offs.... This smells of a combination of old fashioned chemical relaxers and citrius. Will I buy it again? No. It was one of those moments when the hairstylist says "Your hair really needs this Goldwell blah blah blah..." And my response is to just buy it because I am too weak to say no.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser
Boxerface 12/2/2009 2:03:00 PM
I was expecting Neutrogena to be really gentle. It says soap free, alcohol free, blah blah blah but this is harsh on my skin. I even watered it down thinking it was just me. It is a white gel like texture I find it does not get my mu completely off.Yet, it strips the skin in a harsh way. I have loved Neutrogena products in the past but this one is for the super oily non sensitive person who has perfect skin and never wears makeup. Disappointed. I am on the look out for a gentle cleanser that works.

Bronzers -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Bronze Glow
Boxerface 1/27/2009 6:12:00 PM
Disappointed. I bought the W 1-2-3 Warm Light Bronze. It is blendable but it is not what I was looking for. I wanted something to give my skin a glow or use as a blush for my skin. It makes my skin look too sparkly. I gave it to my teenage daughter who loves it. She does not wear makeup just an ocassional dab to cover minor acne. She uses it alone and likes the shiny glow she gets. If you have super skin this might work for you but for someone like me who has a ruddy undertone this is not working.

Fragrances -Tommy Hilfiger - Tommy Girl

One of those scents you can wear every day. A casual but clean and gentle scent that does not over power. Clean, pretty, simple and classic. I like it.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom body splash
Boxerface 1/27/2009 6:02:00 PM
I received a basket for Christmas. I love this smell. It is beautiful. I have the body lotion, the hand sanitizer, the hand lotion, a room candle, body spray, shower liquid soap and body lotion. It has a fruity musky smell. Hard to really explain it except it goes so nicely together. I never thought I would like it when I first smelled it after opening it. But using it in the shower and later refreshing with the spray, it really works great with my body chemistry. other perfumes that work well with my body type.. are Tre'Sor, Chanel #5 and Beautiful by Estee Lauder Hope this helps

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Soothingly Sensitive Aloe and Buttermilk Lotion
Boxerface 1/9/2009 1:14:00 PM
My daughter uses this product. She is a teen girl with super sensitive skin, mild exzema on her inner arms and overall dryness on her skin. She loves this product. I have tried this on my hands. It is really nice. I plan to get a b ottle to keep in my desk. If you like perfumey smells this one is boring but it works. A milky, aloe smell which is why it is called Aloe and Buttermilk. Best of luck trying.
