Eye Shadow -L.A. Colors - 5 Color Metallic Eyeshadow in Tease

I picked this up at Dollar general for a dollar and fifty cents on a whim (meaning I didn't know anything about it or look at any reviews, swatches, anything like that.) But I must say I was pretty impressed at the quality.
They are so pigmented and soft, the have pretty good lasting power with a good primer. I do have a few small gripes though, they are REALLY soft which made depotting them a nightmare (if your not going to depot them then it's not really a problem though) Another thing with them being so soft is they are almost too blendable, like the colors can muddle together if your not careful. Also the mattaic color that you see on top goes away after one or two brush swipes, which was okay with me because I just wanted some pretty shimmer colors. Also the re one stained my lid, even with a primer and a base underneath.
Overall I was super impressed with the quality of this palate for the price. I did a really pretty rainbow eye. I also went back and picked up 5 more and depotted all 5 colors in each quad and they fit nicely into a CD pallette.
I LOVE this foundation is is my HG drugstore foundation. I think it is right on par with my MAC studio fix fluid.
Pros: I think there is a really wide color selection and it also comes in two formulations one for dry skin and one for oily skin. It has medium to full coverage, so if that's what your looking for this is great. Lasts all day with smooth looking coverage without oxidizing to a weird orange color (a lot of my drugstore foundations do) and never gets cakey or just plan weird looking.
Cons: The Bottle doesn't have a pump!!! It's so frustrating I waste so much product dumping it on my hand or into a dish every time. It also drys and sets pretty fast, which could be a good thing but you have to have a quick hand when blending and work in one small area at a time. Overall I truly do believe this is the best affordable foundation out there, and I will continue to repurchase and use it
I ADORE this shade! I have bought 4 bottles and always keep a backup. It's so unique and kind of my iconic nail color. I get so many compliments and questions from people asking me what brand it is. The formulation is great, it only takes about two coats for it to look opaque and glossy like in the bottle.
This mascara must just hold some nostalgic place in some girls hearts. I guess it must be something about the classic and iconic pink and green packaging....
But I don't get it at all, this was the first mascara my mom ever bought me when I was just trying makeup when I was around 12 or 13 so I kind of love it for that....Other than that it's not really any good.
The formulation is very wet and it clumps easily. The wand is so small in length and bristle size. I don't know but this might just be the worst mascara ever and it's sooo over hyped I just don't get it!
I picked this up because I had a coupon and it ended up being like 2 dollars. I saw a Youtube guru (not sure which one) wearing it and it looked amazing on her. I love it on myself as well. Some people compare it to MAC's Angel or Snob, which I don't agree. I think it's a pretty unique shade.
I love the scent even though it's very strong. The pigmentation is awesome. The formulation is very creamy, so its very moisturizing, but with that it lacks a little in lasting power.
I can really only find on con and that is the packaging, I feel like my cap is loose. It goes on and will stay but it's just loose and comes off in my makeup bag, so I can't bring it with me for touch ups throughout the day.
But overall I was really impressed with this lipstick.
This is by far my favorite ELF brush and it quickly becoming one of my favorite brushes I own!
It's sooooooooo soo soooo soft and dense. I have two and I use them for everything I love to stipple my foundation on with it because my Revlon Colorstay sets fast and this brush allows me to cover a large area at a time a buffs it in well.
I also love this brush for bronzers and blushes it picks up a lot of color and buffs it in flawlessly and like I said it's soo soft!
This is a terrible product! first of all it has no plumping effect at all whatsoever, not even a little tingle. The color and pigmentation is non existent. I bought the peachy one and it looks like a cheep clear glittery gloss on. and my final grip is I HATE Cinnamon, it really should say that it is a cinnamon plumper on the packaging, what if I was allergic or something! I hated this so much I just gave it to my friend who like cinnamon, she agrees it's crap but likes the taste haha!
This is my HG mascara I have found no cons about it. I will continue to repurchase it again and again! It really is everything I need in a mascara, it adds volume, lengthens and is a nice pigmented black color. It also doesn't clump ( and I apply a ton!) and doesn't flake and give me that raccoon eye look at the end of the day.
I got this shade in my first ever NYX / Cherry Culture haul about a year or so ago, and it's been my go to matte black ever since! It's so pigmented (especially when applied wet like I love to do) and not chalky at all, blends well if you don't want such a harsh deep black, long lasting. I would for sure recommend this to anyone who wants a good cheep matte black shadow, because they are hard to come by in the drugstore in a matte formulation.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]
BellaGlam 6/6/2010 11:59:00 PM
I picked this up along with the shade baby pink. I love the color and the formulation, its like the perfect hybrid of my other favorite low end nudes ELF's natural nymph and Revlon's matte nude attitude. It's really creamy and doesn't leave my lips looking like I put concealer on them, its my perfect nude tone. The only con I can find is mine is very VERY soft, it is so dented from rubbing up against the side of the tube and it even fell out so now I have to use a lip brush, which is a little annoying because it's a hassle to apply on the go now. Other than the one small con I really suggest this lipstick to anyone who loves a nude lip or maybe even someone who would like to venture into the nude lip, it's really natural and flattering to a lot of skin tones.
