Crème -L'Oreal - magic smooth souffle
BeautBetty 12/30/2010 2:13:00 AM
....well what's the difference between this and the mousse true blend cover girl foundation? - not much, definitely pricier and for me the true blend mousse works better for me, the Maybelline mousse is better for oily skin-mine and it's not too different from the old whipped cream foundation that L'oreal also made-cannot remember the name-I remember that Diane Keaton was the face for it for me, it keeps turning into little balls or fuzz, used sponge but nothing to sing about i gave it a 4 for price because I think these drugstore brands need to know that 14.99 for a foundation is a lot of money at a drugstore. and i'm getting tired of bo get 50%off deals too-often, I don't want to get more than one particular product or need one.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation
BeautBetty 12/29/2010 2:56:00 AM
well. the product does say that it is natural light coverage, which it is. it also has spf 15 and that's good. imo, this is not a foundation it does not last all day or hours and when I used the ponds towlette to remove it, no much was there this is more a tinted mousterizer. no way to sample colors. how many times can you take it back. colors don't match the other color families in cover girl foundations if you have oily skin, it will not work for you in Los Angeles, it can go for 14usd at CVS to 10usd at Walmart, without a coupon. this is too expensive for a drugstore foundation. i feel like the majority of the price is to pay royalties to Taylor Swift-good for her

Eyeliner -Jordana - Easyliner in Lavish Brown
BeautBetty 11/20/2010 2:01:00 AM
I'm so glad I saw this in MUA reviews. I am a mess when it comes to eyeliners. Cannot keep a straight line and forget black for me. This is very inexpensive, so you don't get upset when it doesn't work! I can use this and it's easy to use, no mess and you cannot over do. You have control of it. I don't like the ones that come in a gel and I have to somehow draw it on-forget for me. this is also a good brown for brunettes-no red in it

Powder -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Foundation
BeautBetty 11/9/2010 12:48:00 AM
Well. I hesitated to buy this because everyone says package leaves a lot to be desired. I think all Revlon needed to do is leave the top wide and not narrow, make up the container wider and that would have allowed them to place a bigger brush. I still think that drugstores should come down a bit in price too-all of them. the L'Oreal has a nicer brush but the coverage-well not great. I have oily skin and this worked well for me. I dumped the powder on the palm of my hand and used a regular brush- lasted through yoga-. I liked the coverage better than the L'Oreal. and them moved on with life!

Fragrances -Borghese - La Carezza d'Amore
BeautBetty 11/2/2010 1:35:00 AM
Well. I loved the original borghese fragance and when I found good reviews on this, I took a chance. It just doesn't go well with my chemistry, I even looked with a magnifying glass at the bottom of the bottle because I thought it was not genuine. I'll see if I can switch or get a credit. It smells very strong and although I am not young!, it smelled very ollllllldddddd lady. And I also wondered if it was an old bottle that has gone bad. I like cream and florals but this is just not for me.

Highlighters -Maybelline - Mineral Power Illuminating Powder
BeautBetty 9/27/2010 1:05:00 AM
Well I'm 55 and have to be careful will powder setting on lines that make me look older. This is very soft and very fine and it's not bad at all. I think Maybelline has improved the quality of their products and this is a good example. Just be light with it and it will look fine. I really don't see shimmer on my skin afterwards. typical shake container and a little brush but since it's used as higlighter, then it's ok

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version
BeautBetty 8/28/2010 1:52:00 AM
I love the bottle-slim, not a pump makes it easy to use with a sponge. It lasted all day at work, I don't like re doing makeup at lunch. I have combination skin and this together with Revlon Colorstay foundation as well as another Maybelline foundation Dream Mousse ( the one in the pot) are very good products to which I turn to all the time. I thought that the selection of colors was not bad. this is not mac, and this is just personally, I get lost and overwhelmed at mac and too many choices I think lately drugstore prices are higher than they used to be, but yet they are still affordable and you can "play" more

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
BeautBetty 8/17/2010 3:55:00 PM
This is the best concealer I have used. It goes on light, fluffy and it lasts for ever. You must be light handed under the eyes. Try using a sponge, instead of a brush or your ring finger. I have very oily skin still at 54, and if I use other products, they run down the eye and Yes I would look like I've partied too much in the middle of the day. I don't have to re apply So I use night creams for wrinklies! but to hide, this is it. The price is incredible ( drugstore, bogo, buy one and get another 50% off etc). I feel like writing to Maybelline and telling them don't you dare discontinue. Everytime I find something I like, next thing I know is not made anymore.
