Love to mix this with moisturizer and use as a primer under my light powder makeup. Makes my NW10 skin look alive

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Gabrielle 19

I am NW10-15 for reference. This is a beautiful red on me. I have highly pigmented pink lips and it manages to cancel out the pink and pull a true red that is very flattering my skin tone. It also doesn't scream LOOK AT MY LIPS, it's more, "hey there mister, *wink wink*" which is much more preferable. The formula feel very moisturizing, but as it wore, there definitely was a ring around my lips like a lip liner. For the asking price of this product, I would expect those kinds of flaws, the kind I forgive drug store lip sticks for, to be absent. Hence why the color match brings it from a 3 to a 4, but the formula is lacking.

Eye Shadow -Victoria's Secret - Private Beach

Love VS silky eyeshadows, and love taupes, so had to buy this : ) I am very fair (NW/NC10-15), and this shadow definitely shows up on me, it's a very shimmery (not glittery) mauve/brown, really pretty! It makes my lids look very sexy, like a muted shimmery brown with some attitude, but like I'm not trying too hard. Like cashmere brown, but light. I layer this many times on the brush before applying on my eye, and I get better results. Straight from the pan, it's very light for wear, but this is a great shadow, especially for the price.

Lipstick -Milani - Mystique Mauve

This will be my "vampy" look for fall and winter. It is a beautiful mauve/purple/blue for your lips, goes great with Essence lipgloss in Rock On (burgandy glitter). It's hard for me to pull off shade like this, but wow, can't wait for the cold in a few months to pull this baby out : ) I am NC15/NW10 btw.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Bioluxe Volumizing Shampoo

First off, I need to say that the biggest pro to this shampoo is the smell. And that is not to be taken lightly! This shampoo smells INCREDIBLE! I want to wear this as a perfume and eat it at the same time LOL. That being said, it did clean my products out of my thick hair well, and it did give it additional volume. However, this shampoo felt like it had alot of soap in its formula, because my hair felt very dry and like straw after using it before I put conditioner on. I don't think I will be using this regularly because it would damage my hair over time. Which is a shame, because it smells great, cleans great, and does give volume.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Bioluxe Volumizing Conditioner

I think this would work for people with fine and healthy hair. I have dry hair, and so this may be volumizing, but as a conditioner, it is not moisturizing enough for me. But smells fantastic! Best smelling hair product I've used in a long time. As for the price, if you buy the travel sized bottles at CVS, they have coupons for the full sized products.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid

I have combination skin, fyi. Tried several sunscreens. This is my favorite for everyday wear on my face and neck ( I use 100 spf on my dec and shoulders to ward off freckles). I like it because it IS drugstore, so I don't feel like I am getting jipped by paying too much and is readily available. It also dried very fast and remains matte throughout the day, and I have medium-ish problems with shine. I like the finish it gives my skin also, and I feel like I can skip my primer when I wear it. Others have left my makeup melting half way through the day, or shine by noon, but this one is a keeper.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Sandy Fair

Menolikepolos 8/3/2011 11:24:00 AM

I am closest to NC15 in MAC. I have very fair skin, but its not white. This shade works very well for me, after having such difficulty finding a light neutral shade that matches my skin on my neck but doesn't wash me out. this shade accomplishes that goal, and now I want a large size!

Bronzers -Rimmel - Natural Bronzer- 21 Sun Light
rated 2 of 5
Menolikepolos 8/3/2011 9:41:00 AM

I am a blue-eyed NW10 (NW20 in the summers when tanning from a bottle). If you are NC15 and are looking for a drugstore bronzer, this is for you! NW15s, beware: this is, at best, neutral. I used to sing its praises, but having since tried Tarte's Park Ave Princess, this looks orange and patchy to me. L'Oreal's True Match blush in W1-2, Bare Honey, is less orangey, and more neutral-toned, and is a decent drugstore bronzer for NW10-15. But still have yet to find an HG drugstore bronzer for NW10-15 : (

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - True Blue Spa Lay It On Thick Shea Butter Body Cream
rated 5 of 5
Menolikepolos 8/1/2011 9:51:00 AM

I received this as an extra in a swap, and really happy I did! Unlike the reviews below, I found it to be a great overnight cream for my dry feet and hands. Yes, there is a strong scent to it, but I don't find it unpleasant and it fades after about 10 minutes (or I just get used to it!). I think it soaks in faster and has more moisture than L'Occitane. I rubbed it in and voila! No carpet lint sticking to my feet as I walk around my house. No slipping and sliding in flip flops. And my feet look fabulous, like I just had a pedicure. Will definitely be purchasing another.

Lips -MAC - Lustre in Lovelorn
rated 5 of 5
Menolikepolos 7/24/2011 7:36:00 PM

Swapped for this lipstick, and am so glad I did! I have so many favorite blushes in this color, I feel like this is the lipstick equivalent that I didn't even know how much I wanted until now! I just looked it up so I could be sure it wasn't a limited edition lipstick : ) I am NC15, and it's the kind of pink that makes me want to put on a little extra bronzer and wear lime green or something kinda vibrant to match the beautiful depth of this pink. Looks very pigmented yet natural on me, and I am excited to wear it out of the house, day or night! : )

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection
rated 5 of 5
Menolikepolos 7/22/2011 10:46:00 PM

I am NC15 for reference : ) I own Delight (watermelon pink-red), Temptation (golden orange), and Dazzle (pink-purple). Dazzle reminds me alot of Maybelline's Born With It but less opaque. I have tried alot of the colors in this line, but for my skin tone, these are my 3 favorites. As a NC15 leaning neutral, orange is still hard for me to pull off, and most corals I can't do, but this one is HG for the orange lip this summer. This formula is very moisturizing, and I find that if you blot, it creates a great stain for the rest of the evening :) Most of the colors in the line did little for me, but they are very bold and bright and unique, so maybe others will find favorites among them.

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 4 of 5
Menolikepolos 7/21/2011 10:16:00 PM

I am MAC NC15 and Bobbi Brown Warm Ivory for reference : ) I use this as a backup for my BB Warm Ivory Oil-Free Cream Compact, which in my search of over 50 foundations this past year, is hands down my favorite. I actually smile when I think about it, because it is like MLBB but for my skin! I saw this in the MAC store and thought, hmm I should try their "version" of the cream foundation, since I tend to prefer cream and mineral foundations to liquids. I tend to have combo skin, never dry, and oilier in the summer. I like to use a gel mattifying primer, such as Boscia's, to start; then if I am having a good skin day, use a yellow cream corrector on my under eyes circles, redness patches, and acne scars, then buff in a light mineral makeup on top, and seal with Coty translucent setting powder on the Tzone. If I am having a "bad" skin day, then I use cream foundations like this one : ) I have also heard that mineral foundations are better because they tend to soak up more oil, and use those in the summer; and cream foundations are better for dry skin and tend to help lock in moisture and are good for winter. Have only tried this in the spring and summer, so can't really say. It does have great coverage. If I am feeling lazy and want to skip the corrector which I also use as concealer, I can. It covers redness AND scars, which is my litmus test for how much coverage a foundation has. I think it can look masky or cakey if you over apply - the way I try to apply is with my MAC 109 or the Maxine Mops from the arts and crafts store. these brushes really blend the product in, and so I can't imagine going through the product in 2 weeks like some of the other reviewers here. I would definitely NOT recommend using your fingers for this, as alot of product will get trapped under your fingernails or in your finger prints, and the amount of product is not as much as a bottle of foundation, so don't want to be wasteful. I don't think the coverage increases upon a heavier application, it just looks bad, so blending it out is the best call here. It is a little bit more matte as a foundation than I would like, but it's between $25 and $30 I think; whereas my HG of HGs is $45? the Bobbi Brown. But I do think you get more product with the Bobbi Brown, and it just makes your face look ALIVE. I have never had a foundation make my skin look healthier and glowing when I just woke up, you know? Anyway, this is a good foundation, but at the the end of the day, I probably would just save my pennies and buy my BB. But it feels too special to wear every day, and since I am starting a little foundation hoard, I had to keep this one too : )

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in High Tea
rated 3 of 5
Menolikepolos 7/21/2011 4:16:00 PM

I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle). This is a great nude for when you want to add shimmer without adding color to your natural lip color. Adds some dimension without too much fuss. I go back and forth about how necessary it really is for my collection, but eh, it's ok.

Pressed Powders -Nuance by Salma Hayek - Mineral Powder
rated 2 of 5
Menolikepolos 7/20/2011 11:46:00 AM

I bought the lightest shade named "light." Would fit NC15. Has very light coverage, even when applied with a heavy duty brush, such as my Everyday Minerals brush. Reminded me of MAC MSFN in light, but didn't look as natural and breathe-able. Kept oil at bay on my T-zone, however. Just not what I am looking for in a mineral powder, mainly because the coverage was lacking and not buildable.
