Can't miss with this one...got it for only $10. All 3 shades are very wearable, blend beautifully, and long lasting. Can't ask for more.

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
rated 5 of 5

Would I buy this product again? I have MANY times and will continue to do so. Its the best primer I've ever used. No breakouts, my makeup looks morning fresh even at 4 in the afternoon. I tried alot of primers from e.l.f.(broke me out so badly, it took almost 2 weeks to clear the mess up) to MAC ( just not impressed). I figure if its safe enough for delicate skin on the thighs, its definitely safe enough for my face. It absorbs the oil on my chin and forehead but doesn't dry out my cheeks, which tend to be dry. Its perfect.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Crisco
rated 5 of 5

Crisco...Oh how I love thee... My face is soft, My feet are smooth, My hands look like a babies. My elbows no longer have that gross sandpaper feeling. Another big plus is the lack of perfume smell...I don't like anything scented on my face at night. It gives me a headache. Seriously, this stuff is the miracle, all-in-one product I've been looking for. Just for the record, I'm 48 with acne prone skin. I only use the Crisco at night, I feel its too heavy for day wear. I have not had one breakout since using it...almost a year now. A friend at work just had surgery to remove a small spot of skin cancer on her face. After she was healed, her surgeon told her to use Crisco to help with scarring...hey, if a plastic surgeon recommends it, it must be pretty good stuff!

Other -Unlisted Brand - Roots Only Applicator bottle
rated 5 of 5
yankeerose 4/11/2010 12:03:00 AM

I've had my applicator for about 2 years now...I use it monthly...still looks like new. I have to say this is the best invention for doing root touchups. Its so simple in design and application. I'm amazed that no one thought of it decades ago. Its totally fool proof, the dye goes on the roots and no where else. It would be impossible to make touchups easier. I purchased a second one, just in case.

Finally a moisturizer that is light, but truly does moisturize. I have over 40 skin, but its still line free and I want to keep it that way. I just finished the first tube and must say I'm purchasing 2 more. Totally loving it.

Primer/ Corrector -E.L.F. - Mineral Infused Face Primer
rated 1 of 5
yankeerose 12/28/2009 6:26:00 PM

I've been using Monistat gel for years as a primer, never a break out, works perfectly. My DD slipped this into my stocking this year, I used it Xmas day and the day after...I have zits popping up all over my chin. I am a huge fan of almost all ELF products, but this one wrecked my skin.

I was so disappointed in this scent. I received a sample with my Sephora order...very generic, it wasn't bad...wasn't good...just blah.

Foundations -Cinema Secrets - Foundation Palette
rated 5 of 5
yankeerose 4/5/2008 4:54:00 PM

I use this product as a concealor in the summer/high humidity days. It covers beautifully, and it is water/sweat proof. I can't imagine using it as a foundation, its very pigmented and I think wearing on the entire face would be like wearing a mask. I've been using the same palet for 2 summers (here summer's last almost 6 months), and I still have alot of the color I use the most left, but for sanitary reasons I'm purchasing another for this summer.

Fragrances -mark - Pure
rated 4 of 5
yankeerose 3/25/2008 10:17:00 PM

This is a far cry from the normal scents Avon is famous for. On me this smells like a very creamy soap...not overpowering but definitely noticeable. I smell no citrus at all, but it could be my chemistry. It really is a keeper and I will be repurchasing.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
yankeerose 8/27/2007 6:55:00 PM

I've been using this for about a year now. I've tried almost every high and low end mascara available. This is my HG. Its easy to apply and remove, and my lashes look fake. The one thing I've learned when using this product is that the base has to be wet when the mascara is applied. If you wait til the base is dry, your lashes will be a dried out, spikey mess.

This is definitely a summer scent. Because its a playful scent, I feel its out of place in a professional/medical office. I like wearing it when we go out with friends or on my days off. Guys really seem to like it alot.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Chocolate Eye Palette
rated 5 of 5
yankeerose 7/11/2006 3:22:00 AM

I just bought this from Gloss.com. I've been looking for a neutral palette for a long time. I work in the medical profession, so understated is my work face. This palette has everything I need to keep it neutral but to add a touch of pizazz. I'll probably have it for years but I would buy it again if I ever lost, or finished it. Another hit from BB.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Flying Fox Shower Gel
rated 1 of 5
yankeerose 7/11/2006 3:04:00 AM

I have never used a Lush shower gel that I didn't love...until Flying Fox...Oh dear Lord this is gross. The scent is overpowering and smells very cloying. I went to work after showering with this, came home over 8 hours later and as soon as I walked in the door, there was the scent of FF. My DD hates it too, so we washed our pool towels with it. Never again!

Finally a scent both my DH and I really like. Its very unique and though I wouldn't say its a masculine scent, its not fru fru girlie either. I use tarts and I will buy more of this scent
