i have tried so many dark shades hoping to get the results i get with this shade. it's the perfect dark purple/burgundy. i don't think this color appears "black" at all.

Concealers -MAC - select cover-up

I have terrible undereye circles, and this seems to be the concealer I keep going back to. I've tried so many (BB, Laura Mercier, MakeUp Forever- you name it). This does settle a little into my fine lines but MAC offers the best range of colors so that's why I keep going back to it. I like the Select Cover-Ip better than the Studio Finish because this isn't as cakey.

Lipstick -MAC - Satin Lipstick in Brave

Love this color. It's a pinky/brown/nude. On my lips, it gives me just a hint of color. The perfect everyday shade. When i want more color to it, I use MAC Pink Treat as a liner. I like the texture and satin finish. Will definitely repurchase.

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo

I love this shampoo. I definitely wouldn't use it everyday but it's great to use every few days. I flat iron my hair everyday and use a protectant spray. My hair gets some buildup and can become oily. This shampoo does an excellent job at making my hair feel really clean! It feels a tad bit drying after washing with it, but once my hair drys, it is SO shiny and soft.

I love this color! It's a great change from Orgasm or Deep Throat by NARS, which I normally use. Despite the way it looks, it is a very natural shade depending on how much you put on.

I was a loyal DiorShow user, until I started getting styes and a few eye infections. It got expensive replacing my mascara so often so I looked for a cheaper alternative. My roommate suggested this so I tried it. I LOVE IT. I don't even need to use an eye lash curler. It makes my lashes long and it seperates them nicely. For the price, I can afford to replace this every month. Love the results way more than Dior! Never buying Dior again!

Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Red Velvet Cake 3-in-1

I've been wanting to try the Philosophy 3 in 1 products for a long time so I bought this with the F&F discount from Sephora. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have splurged. I like the way it smells but I'm not sure it really smells like Red Velvet Cake. It's very cherry smelling. Don't get me wrong, I like the smell, I just don't envision Red Velvet when I'm using it. I haven't used it as a shampoo yet, but I like it as a body was. I will definitely try out some other scents!

I'm on the fence about this product. It wasn't necessarily a bad product, I just don't think it did what it said it would. I was hoping that this would make my hair a little easier to flat iron. It didn't. It did make my hair a little oily, but I think it worked well as a heat protectant. You can't beat the price though, which is probably why I might be this again in the future.

I bought this off a recc. from a SA at Ulta. I was looking for a heat protectant that wouldn't make my hair oily. I saighten my hair every day with a CHI. The SA said I would LOVE this. Well, I didn't. First, it smelled horrible. Second, it was like spraying hairspray on my hair and then trying to flat iron it. My hair was stiff and unmanagable all day long. It was awful. I would rate this a ZERO if I could.

Eh, this was just ok for me. I loved the smell and the tingling but didn't feel like it did much for my hair. I found other, cheaper products to do the same thing. The search continues...

Cleansers -Kiehls - Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser

I have tried many face washes from Kiehls but have not loved any of them, in fact, I've returned quite a few to Nordstrom. This is the first one I LOVE! I have dry skin as the seasons change and this made my skin soft, smooth and visibly helped with the dryness. I love how clean my face feels after washing it. I use this in the morning, and follow up with sunscreen (DermaDoctor SPF 30). I love this gentle face was WAY better than Purity by Philosophy. As others have noted, it doens't foam, but I'm ok with that. LOVE this product. One of my HG face washes.

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]

I really love this powder. I like studio fix but it tends to look a bit heavy and chalky. At first I wasn't sure that the Skinfinish would be enough coverage, but it is buildable. You can put it on as heavy as you want. It looks incredibly natural for a powder. For reference I wear the Medium Plus and apply it with a foundation brush, and use a big fluffy brush to blend it. HG for me.

I wanted to love this because I had read so many good things about it and at about $6 a bottle, how could you not love the price? I have sensitive, dry skin and this irritated my skin so badly. I had bumps all over the area on my face I used it. It also did nothing to moisturize my dry skin.

Moisturizers -Mary Kay - Intense Moisturizing Cream

I have been experiencing very dry skin with the changing of seasons, I love the Oil Free Hydrating lotion so I decided to give this a try. It is a bit oily and heavy feeling, but it did get rid of the dry patches on my face. I will definitely only be using this product when my skin is extremely dry and/or at night. Once my skin gets back to normal, I'll be switching back to the Oil Free. I would reccommend this for those with severely dry skin. One thing I hated was that this lotion seemed to have sparkles is in it. I'm not sure if anyone else noted that. I would apply this to a clean, freshly washed face and have sparkles all over.
