I have sensitive skin and this product did not irritate my eyes. However it did not remove my eye makeup. I sat with cotton discs full of product and patiently soaked my eyelids and lashes. It did not work adequately and I needed to use an oil based remover afterwards. It also takes a lot of product to get the cotton pad damp enough, which makes it expensive as well as close to useless for the job. This was a really disappointing product from avene
This is a lovely gloss. One side is a semi translucent plumy brown with a little shimmer, the other is light peach with more shimmer. It's creamy, quite long lasting on the lips without being sticky. Looks great on its own or over a neutral lip. The gloss isn't moisturising but neither is it drying on the lips. The packaging is also nice.
The product does give a nice glow to the skin at first, but it fades after a few hours (at least it did on me). I have dry sensitive skin so foundations and primers don't usually melt off qiuickly at all. I also didn't like the feeling it gave on my skin...a bit plastic feel and tight HOWEVER, the really down side is that after 6 months, the product started to smell really bad. I won't be using it anymore and so what a waste of money. I now use the Becca shimmering skin perfector. It is much more effective and lasts longer on my skin. It's pricey but you get double the amount compared to the smashbox illuminator. It also comes with a pump which I prefer.
Excellent quality brush; soft, dense and fits into the crease area perfectly. Blends out for great smokey looks effortlessly. The handle is a bit shorter than some others, but it works beautifully. If you need a really nice crease brush, this would be it.
A lovely gentle cleanser for sensitive skin. No tighness or redness or stinging as with so many other cleaners out there. It won't remove makeup completely, but it does gently cleanse bare skin, leaving it feel fresh and hydrated. I love the pump on the bottle too.
I bought this in alabaster...unfortunately even this shade is too dark and orange for my skin tone. It does have full coverage and really reduces redness. It's very creamy and easy to blend out but it does cake into fine lines and pores. Exfoiliating and moisturising is very important before applying the product. It doesn't have the best ingredients (parabens and mineral oil), as all in the Scott Barnes line.
