Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Volume Seduction Plumping Gloss
candyisverygood 11/3/2009 9:38:00 PM
I really like this gloss! It doesn't apply thickly, which is a major positive, and the shade I have is gorgeous (110). It is a light watermelon pink, and looks very flattering on my fair skin! The lasting power is not horrible, but not the best; just average. I love the scent of these glosses! It's so light and fruity, and doesn't make me want to wipe it off after 30 minutes. As for the plumping effect of this, it's not that plumping at all. It does make my lips tingle a little bit, and my lips do plump up a bit, but for the price and hype of these, it's not that impressive. I think this could have been a successful gloss without that the word "plumping" in the name. Overall, a delight to have in my lip gloss box!

Lip Gloss -New York Color - Liquid Lip Color in GLOSS SLIPPER
candyisverygood 11/3/2009 9:31:00 PM
This lip gloss is not that bad for costing only 50 cents on sale! For being a white gloss, this stuff really isn't that bad. I have very pigmented lips, so I have never tried it on just my bare lips for fear that it will not show up, but if you ever have a lipstick you put on that just shows up TOO dark, this gloss can quickly fix it, and make it lighter. It does not make my lips look frosty, which is a relief! It has the right amount of shimmer. The lasting power is not the greatest (it lasted under an hour), but for the price, I don't mind at all. One of the bad things about this gloss is that the applicator doesn't grab enough product when I pull it out of the tube to apply it. I have to pump it 3+ times to get my lips to look the way I want them to. The smell is not that bad, but I believe that over time, it starts smelling like sour plastic, so just use this stuff up while it smells delicious! *The only reason I would not re-purchase is because I just don't take much interest in white glosses.*

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-Licious - ALL colors
candyisverygood 11/3/2009 9:21:00 PM
I have two of these glosses in Golden Peck, which is a pure shimmery gold, and Pink Hurricane, which is a sparkly light pink. They are both really pretty colors for such a cheap lip gloss! Usually the color selection consists of a coffee brown, a clear, and a red. Not the most flattering shades out there! But these two are very nice, along with a bunch of other shades from this collection. The lasting power is average for a lip gloss, but quite impressive for this brand and price! It lasted at least an hour, which for me, is a miracle. The scent of these kind of fit the shade of them. The pink one has a fruity scent, and the gold one smells a bit like caramel. Another plus about these is that they show up JUST like they look in the tube. Golden Peck actually shows up as a metallic gold, instead of an icky brown/yellow. In conclusion, these glosses are great, but not much of anything TOO special; get them on sale or a deal!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Eye Shadow
candyisverygood 11/2/2009 7:09:00 PM
I have one of their single eyeshadows in "Urban Brown". It is a bronzy, goldish brown that for some reason, looks fantastic on my skin tone! Most colors like this make me look crazy, but this one is different! When applied lightly, the color is a sheer goldish shimmer, and when packed on, it's gorgeous! This stuff is highly pigmented, compared to the rest of the Maybelline shadows, which are all pretty sheer and not good! This could be worn every day, and it wouldn't get old. The lasting power is actually impressive for an eyeshadow with this price! It was a great surprise. The packaging looks neat, but it is not the best for storage, what with the curved edges and top. I would re-purchase this in a heart beat!

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous lipstick in Paparazzi Pink [DISCONTINUED]
candyisverygood 11/2/2009 7:03:00 PM
I LOVE this lipstick! I have been having a new Barbie-shaded lipstick craze, where I search for lavenders and bright, popping pinks. This fits into that category! This would not be good to wear for a natural, neutral look, unless you wanted a pop of color. I usually use lip gloss with every lipstick to make the color a little more interesting, but with this one, a clear gloss over the top works just as well! The staying power is a little above average, as I find these Revlon lipsticks to be of higher quality. The price isn't bad, but it's a bit much for a little lipstick. I think this stuff would look gorgeous on any skin tone, and I don't say that alot! All in all, I love this lipstick and would love to re-purchase it.

Liquid -Cover Girl - Clean Makeup Oil Control
candyisverygood 11/2/2009 6:58:00 PM
This is my go-to foundation! I have it in 520 Creamy Natural and 525 Buff Beige, and both match my skin tone perfectly. It has pretty good coverage that I would give 4 stars. I really don't like super thick foundation because it makes me feel like I'm wearing a mask. But this product gives just the right amount of coverage, so that my skin looks perfect without looking like rubber. Cover Girl Clean Makeup is perfect for winter, but also pretty nice for summer. I just slap this on, and it acts as a moisturizer, even though it is Oil Free! The staying power is so-so; not the best and not the worst. It lasts for at least half my work day, though, with a finishing powder atop. I've never had any problems with breaking out from this. I think it does more good to my skin than anything! The best place to buy this stuff is at Wal-Mart, where it costs only $4! Love this product, and I would love to re-purchase it.

Lipstick -Prestige - Spunky
candyisverygood 10/19/2009 1:01:00 AM
This lipstick is of mediocre quality. I got it on sale, so it was worth the price, but I don't think I would pay full price for it. The shade is either a silver frost or a silver/beige frost. Keyword being "frost". If you don't like frosty lip sticks, then this is obviously not for you. The pigmentation of it is decent; not the best but definitely not the worst. It doesn't make me look as trashy as some frosty lipsticks do. The staying power is also decent. I don't find much of anything special with this, but I don't find anything I dislike about it either. A Prestige lipstick that I really recommend is "Slipper".

Lipstick -Maybelline - Superstay lipcolor
candyisverygood 10/19/2009 12:48:00 AM
I have this lip color in "Petal 700". I don't see why some people hate it so much. It does dry out my lips a bit, but it's nothing that Chapstick can't fix, and I have had more drying lipsticks in the past that were awful compared to this one. The color is a gorgeous Barbie, light pink with no shimmer. The actual color does last all day, but when I get home from work, I do notice that the color has chipped off a bit on the outer edges of my lips, but it's not the worst thing in the world. The conditioning balm smells nice and does a fairly good job. Overall, this is a high quality product for a pretty nice price! Try it out.

Lipstick -Revlon - Silver City Pink
candyisverygood 10/19/2009 12:36:00 AM
This is my absolute favorite lipstick of all time! I don't know how everyone hates it so much. Maybe it is the skin tone of the user. I am very fair, and this turned out gorgeous and didn't make me look zombie-like. This has the right amount of frost, and it's like a lighter version of a Barbie pink. Gorgeous color when it comes to darker eyeshadow, but all around gorgeous! I could use this every day for the rest of my life and not have a problem. Pretty decent staying power. Didn't notice it coming off quickly, but there wasn't an incredible all-day wear to it. Not drying to the lips, and goes on smoothly! Slightly under $10, but it's all worth it!

Lip Gloss -Jordana - InColor Lipshine Natural Glaze in Pink Grapefruit
candyisverygood 10/19/2009 12:20:00 AM
This is an excellent lip gloss for the price of less than $2! I thought this was going to be some lame excuse for a lip gloss just because I never really hear anything about this product, but I was super impressed. I would pay $10 for this! The color is a light, not shimmery, just shiny pink. And it shows up that way! It's very pigmented for being so light. It feels super nice on my lips and has just the right consistency. The smell is kind of like a grapefruit actually, and it's actually really good! I feel that everyone should give this product a go!

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Megaslicks Liquid Lip Color in 564A Cherish
candyisverygood 10/19/2009 12:14:00 AM
This is really not that bad of a lip gloss! It is frosty, but some lip glosses are meant to be that way. If you apply a very small amount of this, you won't have a problem. I do have very fair skin and I think this product goes just fine with it. The scent is like a strong vanilla, but it's ALMOST a little too much. To describe the color, I would say it's a Barbie kind of pink with white undertones/shimmer. Looks lovely over a pink lipstick! At less than $2, I say it was worth it.

Bronzers -Rimmel - Natural Bronzer- 21 Sun Light
candyisverygood 10/18/2009 7:29:00 PM
This is my absolute favorite bronzer! I am very fair, and instead of going out and buying new foundations when I want to appear a bit tanner, I just use this instead! It has zero shimmer, which is one of the reasons I can wear this every day, over my regular foundation without looking stupid. It is pigmented enough to not have to apply layers, but not too pigmented that I have to blend it in forever. Costs less than $5, gives enough product to last a while, and lasts a pretty good part of the day!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal
candyisverygood 10/18/2009 3:12:00 PM
This is my absolute favorite mascara of all time. It volumizes my thin, short lashes to an extreme that I thought was unreal before I tried this product. It doesn't give a whole lot of length, but it does give amazing volume that makes my eyelashes look fake. If you are going for a natural look, this is not your mascara! The brush is nice and thick and not flexible. Some people say that the formula has a horrible smell, but it smells like any other mascara. Overall, a wonderful mascara for a pretty good price, compared to some of the new ones coming out that cost $13-$14. I really don't get how some people don't like this!
