Cleansers -Oxy - Natural Action Daily Facial Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

Let's see, this stuff smells absolutely disgusting. It's not overwhelming, but it's close. Otherwise, I have no problems with this. It's been a week so far, and I already notice a difference in my skin. It removes all my makeup, which surprised me, and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I didn't buy the other two products you're supposed to use with this, but I will this weekend. Usually Oxy products dry the living hell out of my skin, but this one has left a good impression on me. I will be buying this again.

Crème -Revlon - New Complexion One-Step Compact Makeup

I really, really, really like this foundation. It's creamy, extremely easy to blend, and it feels light on my skin. The coverage is okay... I'd say about medium, which is perfect for me. I got lucky and found a perfect match to my skin tone the first time out, so there's that too lol. I didn't like the application with the sponge provided, so I used to my sephora airbrush and fell in love! Another plus is that it lasts all day and doesn't rub off on anything and everything, which is awesome for someone with oily skin like me. Just set it with some powder and you're good to go. I will definitely be buying this again (:

Foundations -Cover Girl - Ultimate Finish

This foundation is awful. I've applied it with my fingers, a sponge, and a brush.. and the end result is always the same. It claims to have "the beauty of a liquid, a powder and concealer in one," but falls way short. It doesn't conceal anything, is difficult to blend, and like most CG foundations, you're unlikely to find a match the first time around. If any of the SDMs around my house believed in having testers, I could have avoided buying this. I see it works for other people, but it definitely does not work for me. Will never buy again.

Cleansers -St. Ives - Apricot Cleanser-Blemish Fighting
rated 1 of 5

I'm reviewing the cleanser, not the scrub (which I see other people reviewing here). I actually like the scrub, sometimes. As for this cleanser, ugh. I have literally nothing good to say about it. I wanted something to accompany the scrub that I could use every day, so I figured I would buy this and hoped for the best. Where do I start... I have to use a ridiculous amount of this product to clean my face, because it seems to disappear if I don't. It made NO difference in my skin, in fact, I think it made it worse. Those little orange beads don't seem to do much of anything at all (if their aim was exfoliation, they definitely fell way short of that). My skin never felt clean after I used it, and I replaced it shortly after purchasing it. What an awful, awful cleanser. People, AVOID THIS! It's a waste of money!

Cleansers -Olay - Clarify & Cleanse daily scrub
rated 2 of 5
blondie86 5/6/2010 4:23:00 PM

I used this a couple of years ago, and got results then that I'm just not seeing now. This cleanser makes no difference in my skin, other than smelling nice at first and drying it out afterwards. There are barely any microbeads in this product; how can they call it a scrub? I use the Acne Stress-Control line by Neutrogena now, and it definitely works much better for my skin. I wanted to love this again, but it's just not for me.

Scrubs -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Clear Scrub
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 5/6/2010 4:18:00 PM

I really do like this scrub. It feels gentle on my face, and the scent is really nice and light. After I wash my face, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry, it just feels soft and clean, something that seems to be impossible for several cleansers to accomplish with my skin. With other scrubs (the Olay one to be specific) I feel like there aren't enough of the little beads in the product to really call it a "scrub," but this one has enough and you can really tell the difference. This keeps my skin clean, gets rid of zits, and I love the smell. No downside for me. Will repurchase

Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - PUR Ultra Rich Body Wash
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 5/6/2010 4:13:00 PM

Alright, I noticed this wasn't on here and I wasn't surprised since my latest trip to Shoppers was the first time I'd seen this body wash. Now, I've tried almost every body wash there is out there to try to moisturize my extremely dry and itchy winter skin. NOTHING has worked, if anything, it made it worse. This is "enriched with natural olive and jojoba oils" and it does the trick! My skin is soft, smooth, and most importantly, NOT itching me. This was extremely cheap, and it comes in a huge bottle I'm sure will last me a while. I really am impressed that a brand I've never seen before does more for me than the popular brands that never work. Will definitely repurchase when I need to !

Crème -Cover Girl - Simply Ageless
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 5/6/2010 3:35:00 PM

First off, let me say I'm obviously not in the targeted age group for this product (I'm 23), though I will add it is definitely not my first anti-aging product, either. I have some spider veins already (thanks mom!) and the fact that I've been smoking for years has definitely taken a little bit of a toll on my skin. This product not only manages to even out my skin tone, but look extremely NATURAL while giving me the coverage I need. I have oily skin, and this doesn't slip and slide around during the day. It's easy to blend for me using the sponge provided, though I might give it a try with my 187 after reading some other reviews. Like other people have said, the colors do run light so get a color a shade or two darker than your usual and you should be fine. I think once you hit your 20's, it's a good time to start taking better care of your skin and if that can extend to your makeup as well, why the hell not? Will definitely repurchase.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 2 of 5
blondie86 4/5/2010 10:31:00 PM

I wanted to love this foundation, I really did. I did mucho investigating online and read a ton of reviews, and figured I'd give it a shot. As my first higher end foundation purchase, I had high hopes that this would deliver something the drug store brands could not. NOPE. The coverage is so-so, and this stuff is gone off my face within hours. If that's what they meant by "natural finish" I guess they got it right. I do have oily skin, so I think I'll return this and try mat velvet+ instead. Not impressed, not impressed.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
rated 1 of 5
blondie86 3/10/2010 8:17:00 PM

The first time I used Pro Activ was when I was 12/13 which was when my acne was at its worst. That was over 10 years ago. It was a miracle for me then; my skin was FLAWLESS. Once I ran out of it the first time around, I didn't use it again until about a year ago. I figured, it worked the first time, why wouldn't it work again? Well... I don't know what has changed with this skincare line from then to now, but it is AWFUL. This made literally no positive difference in my skin, it just made it worse. I don't know how people are still buying this because from the looks of the reviews here, I'm not the only one who wasted their money. AVOID.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 3/10/2010 8:10:00 PM

Overall, I do like this mascara. The price runs a bit high for what it delivers, though (imo). My eyelashes are already very long, and thankfully this doesn't clump much, if ever because it really shows on me when mascaras do. I love the size of the wand, it makes it that much easier to apply the product. It doesn't really make my lashes look fuller, which is what I need from a mascara, but I am happy with it. I would repurchase if I didn't find something better

Blush -Coastal Scents - Contour & Blush Palette
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 3/10/2010 8:03:00 PM

I wasn't too impressed with my other Coastal Scents purchases, but this one I love. The contouring shade is perfect (even for my pale skin) and I love the highlighting colors. The really light peachy one adds a nice glow to my chin and forehead, the white is great for cheekbones and nose, and I like to use the yellowy one under my eyes. The blush colors are nice, and I use them sometimes, but I opt for my NARS blush 8 out of 10 times. Would repurchase for sure.

Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 88 color matte palette
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 3/10/2010 7:05:00 PM

Well... let's see. I like the variety of colors, even though it's only the darker ones that show up. The lighter colors, as usual, don't really show up on me and I'm not going to pretend to be surprised. I suppose for the price I got what I paid for, and I wasn't expecting more. Some of the pans come out and slide around the case when I put it away which is really annoying as it chips the other ones and I end up with multicolored everything. The shadows are easy to blend, and they do last the whole day, but I don't think I would repurchase.

Blush -NARS - Torrid
rated 5 of 5
blondie86 3/10/2010 6:59:00 PM

I really, really, really love Torrid. I went to Sephora looking for Orgasm, but they were all out. Since I'm pale I was a bit afraid of this blush, as it's really easy for a blush like that to make me look like I belong in a circus or something. Fortunately, somehow... this blush looks amazing on me! It makes my face seem warmer, and I love the shimmer to it. I would definitely repurchase if I had to, but I'm sure that wont be for a long time.
