Treatments (Eye) -Clean & Clear - Under Eye Brightening Stick
amarna_princess 12/14/2006 11:20:00 PM
Hmm...instead of having dark purple circles that at least look proportional to my face, I had huge shimmery white half moons under each eye, even when used sparingly. Definitely not worth your money at all, you are much better off just using plain old concealer.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Lipslicks-Hipster

I had bought this a while ago but put it away because of the smell/taste - very powder/perfumey and not something I wanted to wear when there was a chance that I would kiss my boyfriend. Being newly single and after a mini-makeover from my dorm roommate, I started playing in my makeup case again and rediscovered this. As for the smell/taste, I will be the only one dealing with it and in all honesty I like it, it is a very soothing smell. The color of this is so gorgeous - it is a very fresh shimmery reddish pink with brown undertones, and is a lot like my natural lip color but is dark enough to show up and not so sheer that is is nothing but a clear gloss. The shimmer is most definitely NOT glitter, which is a major plus in my book. The texture is smooth and creamy, and keeps my lips moisturized and soft for a long time, and it is easy to just swipe this stuff on without a mirror. The tube size a bit big but doesn't cover more than the spanse of my lips, it is a very convenient size. It is also affordable and easy to find.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip nutrition - passionfruit boosting balm [DISCONTINUED]

I tried the mint one a while back but it felt really waxy and didn't shine so i was a little hesitant to try this. This one's texture is so creamy and moisturizing, and it is nice and glossy and leaves a really sweet, fresh pink tint. Not bright pink, a reddish muted pink. Even after I've licked it off or it's worn away my lips still feel soft and look really healthy. Yes, a bit pricey for a drugstore lip balm, but considering this is also lip color and gloss and it really a lot better than anything else in Walgreens, I will keep buying. :)

I'm not going to act like I didn't like this. I don't usually wear foundation but I needed some for the rare play that I end up in so I bought this. The colors, in my opinion, are very easy to choose from - first pick if you are light, medium, or dark, then decide what undertones are prominent in your skin. It is in a squeeze tube, so it is easy and hygienic to apply and I was able to test it in the middle of Wal-Mart without being completely grossed out. I did not experience any streaking, and I was able to spread it around nicely before it dried. It made my complexion really even, and covered minor blemishes. (Though at the time I had a scab on my chin so nothing could cover that up!) My face did not become shiny after about 8 hours of wear. It was very cheap also, I think below $6 U.S. I recommend it, but then again I am not exactly an expert on foundation seeing as I never really wear it, but I wouldn't consider switching to another one just yet.

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow - Rose Salve
amarna_princess 1/24/2006 7:46:00 PM
I've never tried Smith's rosebud salve, but I imagine it is basically the same as this. As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with this product. This is all I've used since I bought it. It is very moisturizing, with a texture much like vaseline, but a bit lighter. Lovely rose scent, no detectable taste, which is good because it would taste too perfumey. Not shiny or tinted, but very glossy. The tin it is packaged in doesn't have any nook and crannies, meaning that it is perfectly round and made so every last speck of the balm can be used up. It is a good amount for the price of $5 (I got mine 2 for $5) and I would definitely repurchase. This is perfect for everyday, not really under lipcolor but good for under lip gloss, and by itself it looks very pretty!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous lipgloss in Glossy Rose [DISCONTINUED]
amarna_princess 1/7/2006 10:10:00 AM
I got this for $6 at Wal Mart, where does it cost $8? I love it, it is so beautiful. It's so versatile - I tried it bareface and with smokey eyes and it compliments anything. The texture is slightly thick but definitely not sticky, and it stays on for a long time. No scent or flavor, which doesn't bother me. The only problem is that I feel bad giving my boyfriend a kiss between classes if I'm wearing anything stickier than lip balm, so I end up wiping it off, which will lead to wasting a lot of it. Which is what I'm really worried about. :) Anyway, this really is a very nice, rosy-gold color that I imagine would look good on everybody. From a brunette to other brunettes - this will really compliment your hair and coloring. A great buy that I will indulge in again. EDIT: This gloss is so sexy. This is all I've been wearing the past few days, and if I wear chapstick under it, it reduces the thickness a bit so it's kissable. As other reviewers mentioned, this really is the perfect opalescent MLBB color. Everytime I wear it I feel so hot. :) Also, it's versatile not only by style but you can wear it with warm or cool colors. (I tried brown and aqua on my eyes and it looked great with both.)

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Champagne Frost
amarna_princess 8/26/2005 12:12:00 AM
I have to admit that this was a beautiful color, in the tube as well as on my lips. Good price, nice packaging, and I've always been a fan of Lip Lites, but I just couldn't stomach this one. It smells very strongly of bitter lemon-lime, and a lot like, as another reviewer stated, pine-sol. But God forbid anything in my house ever smelling like that.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Shake NEW FORMULA in Cherry Cola Float
amarna_princess 8/7/2005 2:42:00 AM
Have to agree on this one...this is way better than any other lip shake I've tried, a slightly shimmery mauve-berry color, smells good (I guess like cherry cola, but I've never had cherry cola.), tastes good, feels comfortable on and moisturizes my lips. And only $3.49.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Shake in Mocha-Fudge Explosion
amarna_princess 6/6/2003 8:49:00 PM
The color was awful on me. It is WAY darker than I can get away with. It's a really dark brown with silver and gold, but on me it looks black. The texture is nice, it smells and tastes great, but I just cannot wear that color. Too bad. Maybe the other flavors are better...?

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lix in The Last Strawberry
amarna_princess 6/1/2003 11:51:00 AM
I really like this. I don't like wearing lipstick, but this is a nice alternative. It's a rosy, shimmery gloss in stick form. I like the fake strawberry taste. It lasts a nice amount of time and is easy to apply. It's a really good bargain. The plastic tube did break, but that was my fault...

Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)
amarna_princess 5/16/2003 7:08:00 PM
I love this mascara! IMO it's better than Jane, and that was my holy grail mascara. I have soft black. The formula isn't too thin or thick, and doesn't clump, so my lashes still look nice and feel soft. The brush is curved and long, and it being long is important for me because I have wide eyes and the small puny brushes make alot of mascara difficult to apply. It was $4, so that's not bad at all. I'll definately repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Silk & Shine
amarna_princess 5/15/2003 10:32:00 PM
This was better than I expected. I'm going to the beach with my bf this weekend, so I wanted a glossy, moisturizing lip balm with an SPF, and that was *ahem* kissable. This could be more shiny, but it's moisturizing enough. The scent/flavor was pleasant, fruit or something. It was only about $2, too. This will do the job.

Lips -New York Color - Lip Smoothie in Watermelon
amarna_princess 5/4/2003 10:44:00 AM
This is the best of the lip smoothies that I've tried. It leaves a healthy pink tint and shine. It is really conditioning and the flavor and scent is like the real thing. And it's cheap! EDIT: Discontinued. Why do the best products always get discontinued?

Lip Gloss -Bon Bons - Lip Teasers Lip Gloss
amarna_princess 4/20/2003 12:04:00 AM
This is so cute! I got it in Daisy (the only other color I saw was Hearts). It comes in a little flip-top pot. Daisy is a pink shimmery gloss with three flowers in the center, one lavendar, one blue, and one a transluscent purple. It isn't really glossy, just makes your lips look kinda moist, but it is very moisturizng and makes your lips look healthy. Very natural. Has a pleasant sweet taste and is only 88 cents!!! A great bargain that I will probably repurchase in the future. EDIT: I got bored with this and decided to ask my sister if she wanted it (along with a bunch of other products I never use) and she was like "ooh, that's cute!" until she smelled it. The first word that came out of her mouth was "armpit!" So...I don't recommend it anymore, cuz now, when I smell it, all I can smell is armpit! Still really moisturizing though.
