Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel Kit
Cali_Dancer85 11/21/2005 10:36:00 PM
I bought this two weeks ago and have used it twice already although I can see myself using this twice a week as recommended but I was terribly afraid of breaking out because I break out from almost everything. I'm only 20 and have never used a microdermabrasion kit before but because of all the great reviews, I had to give it a try. The process itself is quite simple and not messy nor does it sting or irritate my face but the scrub feels warm on my face which is nice. My skin is never smooth but rather dry and flaky a lot of the time but this kit just gives it a wonderful glow and a smoothness I have never experienced. Lotion sinks in better and my makeup glides on better and most importantly, it does not break me out or irritate me! I got this for 24 dollars at Ulta and I think it's well worth it but I agree with some of the other ladies that I can see the serum running out way before the scrub even though I don't use a lot of serum. The scrub is very mild but effective and smells like oranges! I also don't mind the jar the scrub is in, instead of dipping my fingers in, I just use a plastic spoon to scoop it out. I follow this up with Kiss My Face Alpha and Aloe oil free moisturizer with 5% AHA. Go ahead and give it a try, even if you don't like it and can't return it, Oil of Olay is having a money back guarantee on their website for the product so you can't lose!
I LOVE this, it is my holy grail can't go wrong everyday color. I have Sun Goddess as well and even though people say they are almost the same, Sun Goddess did not work on my light-medium asian skin, it was too coppery orange! Desert Sun on the otherhand is just perfect!! Gold tends to wash me out but this is a deep gold with just a slight tinge of copper to warm it up into a sort of golden bronze but not dark at all. It's just bright enough to really make my almost black eyes pop and glow.
Let me just start with..I LOVE greens on my dark brown eyes. I'm a light-medium skin asian girl and this is a great medium-semi-dark green depending on how many layers you put on. It's perfect for everyday wear and for night, I love putting Tony and Tina Universal Color Dust in Black Hole over it. You just can't go wrong with Milani!
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Heel of Approval
Cali_Dancer85 11/18/2005 2:34:00 AM
I have almost gone through my first container of this stuff and I LOVE it! I sometimes have cracked heels but they have always been dry and hard despite all the lotions I've tried. This cream is loaded with glycolic acid which is supposed to slough away dead skin and it does exactly that. I will use a pumice stone on my heels every two weeks or whenever I remember and I put a bit of cream on my heels and feet when I get out of the shower and that keeps my heels and feet supple and smooth. I don't know why I didn't try this sooner!! I got this on sale but it retails for $12 which is fine, one container lasts for a LONG time because a little goes a long way.
I've had these brushes for about a year and a half now. I felt like at the time I was sucked into buying them because the makeup artists was saying how for a limited time, it was only $50 so I bought them, but I don't regret it one bit!! These brushes are so very soft and that hasn't changed in almost two years with absolutely NO shedding and I wash them once every two weeks. The powder brush is the perfect size to be used as both a powder brush and a blush brush. The angled eyeshadow brush is just perfect for eyeshadow application. The eyeshadow blender brush is great for just that but I also found out that it's great for putting on concealer, blends like a charm! The angled eyeliner brush is just perfect for lining eyes but is also great for perfecting eyebrows (wherever you may need some extra color). Lastly, the lip brush is just adorable and so perfect because it's retractable. Overall, such a great find, I won't be needing brushes for years and years to come and when I do, I know exactly what I am purchasing again.
I'm not a MAC fan by any means and I've never purchased anything from MAC...BUT after reading all these great reviews, I had to pop on by my MAC counter to check it out. At first, I looked at the tube and I was skeptical because it looked pink and I have never been able to wear any pink lipgloss or lipstick without it turning too pink on my somewhat pigmented lips, but when I tried it on, I was sold. I'm not sure if I would describe this as a YLBB color on me. It was more like a very innocent, sexy, pouty VERY toned down pink color with just the slightest hint of peach and bits of golden shimmer and it definetly was not milky which was a good thing. I am in love, this is such a great everyday color, and I've been wearing it everyday since I got it with and It would work so well with a smokey eye. Will be purchasing this over and over and I love it so much, the price doesn't even bother me. I'm asian and I'm a Clinique Superfit Honey. I do agree with some other posters that this color looks fab on ethnic skintones.
Lotions/ Creams -Kiss My Face - Alpha & Aloe Moisturizer Fragrance Free

Due to all the reviews on this board, I just had to give it a try. I've had this for about a week now and I've never used any sort of AHA's before so I was a bit scared. Let me start with my skin, I have the most sensitive acne prone skin that ranges from anywhere from really dry to oily so I am always hesitent about trying new products on my face. Well, I gave it a shot and I've been putting on a good layer on my face right before bed for about a week and even after the first day, the results were amazing! It not only left my skin baby smooth and glowy but it reduced the pimples that I already had and now, a week later, my skin looks amazing, acne free and a bit more even-toned, needless to say, I can't wait for the long-term results. This stuff would be great under makeup because it sinks in really fast and doesn't leave you greasy or anything but during the day, I use Kiss My Face Oil free w/ NaPCA under my makeup which is also a good lotion but not as great as the Alpha and Aloe one. I along with others fear that this will be discontinued but for now, it's my holy grail and you can't beat the price, 16 ounces for 10 dollars!! If you have sensitive, acne prone skin and you're looking for a great moisturizing lotion, this is it!
I love this stuff!! This is so much better than my TIGI Bedhead Shine Serem that I paid 14 dollars for! When I put about 2 dime size dollops into my wet hair and let it airdry, my hair is sooo smooth and silky and not the slightest bit greasy or weighed down. When used on dry hair, it smooths the occasional frizzies on my straight/wavy hair and I get a nice shine. I also use this when I flat iron my hair and I get soft, straight and shiny hair. The best part is that this is such a great product at such an affordable price!
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Rich Citrus Cream Body Cream

Great Lotion, it's very moisturizing without being oily and I love the scent. It's supposed to be infused with natural vanilla and lime extracts and it does smell that way, really reminds me of key lime pie..yum!
Lip Treatments -Bath and Body Works - Wet your whistle lip balm
Cali_Dancer85 12/29/2004 6:43:00 PM
I love this lip balm, I've gone through about 7 tubes of this and I refuse to use anything else. It's moisturizing, actually coats my lips, love the shea butter and doesn't smell. My only gripe is that it's 4 dollars a tube but I'm wiling to pay that, but I always stock up during their semi-annual sale.
Mascara -Maybelline - Sky High Curves Extreme Length and Curl [DISCONTINUED]
Cali_Dancer85 12/20/2004 2:58:00 AM
I've gone through two tubes of this already, but the WP version and I looooove it! It gives me volume, length and and actually keeps my lashes nicely curled...but most importantly, I don't have spider lashes.
Cleansers -Olay - Gentle Foaming Face Wash w/ Aloe (Sensitive-Skin)
Cali_Dancer85 12/20/2004 2:55:00 AM
I have gone through so many tubes of this stuff and I don't plan on changing brands anytime soon. This is a wonderfully gentle cleanser that doesn't make me breakout (I'm very prone to breakouts from product usage) and it leaves my skin soft and clean without overdrying it. I've even turned my mom and dad onto this and they have gone through countless tubes as well. It only takes about a dime sized amount and it foams up nicely. I also like that it contains little sulfates which I believe are too harsh for the skin on your face.
I LOVE this product, I have gone through 5 of these already (medium) and it's my holygrail. I use it alone or over my foundation and it looks wonderful. The best part is that it doesn't contain any talc which can be bad for the skin. It also has pretty good oil control and does not cake up. I always find buy one get one sales on these so it's fairly inexpensive.
This product was great for the price at about 3 dollars. I agree with everyone else that this shadow looks beautiful in the pan but goes on very very sheer and nothing special when put on dry..BUT when put on wet, it is AMAZING! When put on wet, it is true to the pan.. a medium-dark shimmery purple with a dark blue sheen. I never wear dark shadows, this was the first and it looks amazing, especially for a nighttime look.
I'm not a lipstick person at all but I am in love with this lipstick. It comes in a beautiful dusty rose/pink case trimmed in gold, I love the Colour Riche lipsticks texture.. very smooth and moisturizing. The color is a plummy pink... sort of a MLBB color but with more depth. I love this lipstick alone but it's even better topped with my Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City which is basically a clear gloss with tiny hints of glitter. Would buy again and will buy another soon before it's gone!
