Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 12/27/2011 1:32:00 PM

This is the most toxic mascara.I tried it and within a minute or two my eyes started burning. That's never happened to me before, with a mascara. I kind of tried to ignore it and ran out of the door to run my errands. After I came out of the first store I checked my self in the mirror since my eyes felt so irritated and saw it smudged all under eye area and I mean I had MAJOR raccoon eyes. I was embarrassed at the thought that I was walking around unaware that I looked like that. My eyes actually started to swell up a bit. I went to the eye Dr and he advised me not to use whatever I used again(common sense). He said I obviously had an allergic reaction to something in it. I was given some drops and in a few days my eyes felt better. ---You guys should know that according to this site: http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep/ this Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara is rated 9.2, with 10 being the highest health concern because it contains ingredients linked to cancer, pregnancy, and other potential health issues. I am thinking that I am probably sensitive to these things and this is what caused my eyes to burn. I was walking around with bloodshot eyes that were tearing up from my eyes becoming irritated from chemicals and making it run everywhere, I suspect. ---Now looking in my mascara drawer the biggest letdowns were the Maybelline mascaras that have such gimmicky trickery in their commercials. For reference I have much better luck with my EL Sumptuous,CG lashblast, CG Super thick lash, and some L'oreal's. It's a shame that I had this horrific experience and I have had nothing but smudging or clumping problems with Maybelline and now a crazy reaction. I have never liked a Maybelline mascara enough to repurchase. Note to self: never buy Maybelline mascaras again, just walk away from the display and I'm going to ignore all of their fancy commercials with animated looking lashes(falsies flared I'm talking to you).

Lotions/ Creams -Cerave - Moisturizing Cream
rated 5 of 5
tightkitty 12/26/2011 9:00:00 PM

This is the moisturizer I have been looking for for so long! I must admit I was terrified to put a product from a tub on my face. But,I love this for my face and wish I would have found it sooner. My skin is naturally oily but from my Retin-a, my cheeks seemed like they were always irritated and they were so dry it was uncomfortable. It seemed like nothing I used was really hydrating my skin. Every lotion and moisturizer broke me out. Seriously I break out so easily. I was terrified to use this since it did not say oil free. I was terrified of this since it was in a tub and that clearly screamed I will break you out. I figured that I have tried so many moisturizers and lotions that broke me out that I was running out of options. I have passed this up time and time again cause it was in a tub. Well, I can say now that I have used this for months now and I can say that this has not given me one single pimple. This is the FIRST moisturizer that has NEVER broke me out. My search is finally over. I turn 30 very soon and I have been on this search since I was about 14 and I can say it ends right here with this. My skin is so much more even-toned, clear and SOFT! My skin is so clear. I've gone without wearing foundation. I have never been able to/wanted to do that before with my acne-prone, highly sensitive skin. It seems all I needed was moisture, protection and balance, which this cream delivers. The texture is great. It's the perfect consistency. It's not runny and not to thick. This cream isn't so thick that it couldn't be packaged in a tube so I don't understand why it is not available in a tube. I actually look forward to putting this on. Like others have said, it's like a pudding texture. It doesn't feel too heavy. I've slathered it on, and it doesn't clog my pores at all. This cream does a great job of moisturizing, and no matter how much I slather on, it leaves my skin looking matte. I can't believe how deeply hydrating and yet non-greasy this is. I use it in the morning under my spf moisturizer (Olay Complete for sensitive skin) and as a night cream. On nights I use Retin-a, I put it on top. My son has psoriasis and this is the best cream that I have found for him as well. He is 10 and he knows his arms/elbows will start to look not so good if he forgets to use this every night. He is a child and can see that it improves his skin. I also no longer have flaky eyelids and skin anymore. I was constantly thinking I had to exfoliate my flaky skin before and I was over doing it and aggravating my skin. I just exfoliate occasionally now and that's all I need ,my skin very just very dry and needed balance. I love this for under my eyes as well. This is an HG in my house for sure!!

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Nourishing Color Creme in 415 Raspberry Truffle - Soft Mahogany Dark Brown
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/26/2011 8:11:00 PM

I wanted to help my mother out and dye her medium red/brown hair since she had so many gray hairs coming in. The color came out even darker then the picture on the box. It looks dark brown/black and the red can only be seen in the sunlight. It was not what we expected at all. My mother is caucasian and it took all of the beautiful red tone she had in her hair and basically turned it very dark brown with barely any noticeable red in it. She hated it and I felt bad since I thought this looked pretty, sounded pretty, and this was my idea. I would not recommend this unless you have or like very dark hair. If you have med/brown hair and the raspberry aspect of this excites you AVOID.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears
rated 4 of 5
tightkitty 12/25/2011 10:34:00 PM

The bottle which some love I find very tacky ,so every time I saw this fragrance I constantly bypassed it. I was bored in Wallgreens the other day and felt like sampling a fragrance and this was the only one I have never tried so I thought why not. What I smelled when on initial burst is completely different from what the ingredients claim I am seeing now and I had no idea what the ingredients where until after I sampled this. I did smell the fruit, the vanilla, and actually a slight cotton candy scent that is not listed as an ingredient somehow but I thought...so typical. I finished up my shopping and went home. I noticed that I started to smell really good and loved what I was smelling and actually almost forgot that I tested this out on my chest. The dry down on this fragrance was a total surprise, devastatingly sexy and totally all-woman, not girly. After of a few minutes of my s/o talking to me he said,"Wow you smell good. What is that?" The dry down stunned me. It became a sensuous, sultry, mysterious, bombshell scent on my skin! Fantasy is, surprisingly, more complex then what I thought. I like this scent and I like the fact that it actually lasts. I do have problems with scents that just seem to evaporate on my dry skin. This fragrance stays and keeps going. I would consider this more of a winter scent because it's heavy. The dry down is really lovely. It is not a terribly complex fragrance, but it does have more depth and sophistication than Curious, and it is nowhere near as one-dimensional as Aquolina Pink Sugar, to which it is frequently compared. Pink sugar can be well... a bit harsh and loud. But Fantasy is more rounded, warm, and sensual IMHO. It's much more prettier than Pink Sugar :) Given that my expectations were low, I was pleasantly surprised. I am going to be 30 very soon but I still plan on getting a small gift set of this for myself.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Angel Eau De Parfum
rated 4 of 5
tightkitty 12/25/2011 6:14:00 PM

This is not the usual fruity candy floss scent!! I usually shy away from Amber based perfume since it does not agree with my body chemistry, but this is very different. The violets add a gentleness to the scent On my skin, this fragrance opens with very intense and sexy notes of plum and violet. After that It’s a rush of muted sweet musky florals that quickly settles on my skin into a soft, warm, muskiness that is almost gourmand in nature. But, I would say this is a definite try before you buy since looking at the beautiful pink bottle with wings attached on the back (which btw I LOVE) ,one would probably assume that this would be a sweet young girly fragrance like some other VS scents but this seems a little more sophisticated. A LITTLE BIT OF INFO-Victoria's Secret Angel is a sexy and confident fragrance on an icon, composed of sparkling notes of plum, sheer violet and amber. Available as 75 ml EDP. Victoria’s Secret Angel was launched in 2011.The perfect balance between vibrant freshness and sultry warmth, this new eau de parfum captures all the thrill, glamour and spotlight that a new Victoria’s Secret Angel experiences. The notes include plum, violet, pink pepper, gardenia, amber, musk and , and agarwood (Oud). ALSO- agarwood (Oud) can drive the price of scents up so I suspect it is a synthetic used. BOTTOM LINE- I am happy with it but I am not like OMG. The bottle is fab but the scent is nice I do not love it and I don't hate it. My s/o loves this on me. But One thing that I do REALLY like that I find uncommon, is that it is suitable for day and night. I would consider this more of a day scent but with the light muted warm muskiness it obtains it can be pulled off If I use more, since I like my night fragrance to be a tad stronger. I not sure if I wouold repurchase this since I love to try different fragrances but I sure will keep the bottle on my dresser after I am done with it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/21/2011 3:24:00 PM

This pulls a brown/red on me looks very out of style almsot like revlons toast of ny. I get no pink out of this what so ever. I thought this would be a nudish/pink not a red/brown. I would like it more if it lookd like the first picture on here but it is more like the 2nd pic red/brown. I don't like any of these at all since you have no idea what color you are getting and some are more sheer then you would think and then some are dark and then SURPRISE some have shimmer! It turns out that the only shades I would go for have shimmer and I hate shimmer.

Fragrances -Coach - Poppy Flower
rated 5 of 5
tightkitty 12/16/2011 11:47:00 PM

I just got this for an early X-mas gift and I love it!!! COACH Poppy Flower is a floral bouquet that is perfect for the vibrant personality and on-the-go lifestyle. Sweet Freesia and Violet Leaves come alive with the dewy freshness of Wet Ivy. Juicy Grapefruit, Mandarin, Lychee and tangy Cassis create a kaleidoscope of sparkling fruity notes kissed by a weightless Fresh Air effect. Jasmine Petals, Waterlily and Rose are wrapped in sheer musky ribbons of Peony for a fashionably girly heart. Amberwood, Musk and Apricot Skin bring a playful twist to casual softness. Chic, sweet, and flirty. The fragrance also exudes fresh floral - fruity character, which is supposed to be more refined and romantic than the debut. It opens with citrusy notes, wet ivy, black currant and litchi. Fruits serve as an introduction to the heart of jasmine, rose, water lily, peony and sugared raspberries, fading into the background of amber wood, sandalwood, apricot skin and musk. Poppy Flower mixes bright fruits with soft florals to capture the romantic side of the Coach Poppy attitude. Sparkling notes of citrus, lychee and cassis blend with water lily and jasmine petals to create an airy, light scent. This is not like other perfumes where the smell is overwhelming, but this also has very good lasting power. This scent never gets annoying or old which I really admire. The light floral tones are perfect for daily use. It smells amazing and romantic, but it still feels light. The cap has visually cool engravings of the name and there's a pretty pink bow tied to it. It's not pricey when compared to other perfumes.Out of all the coach perfumes this is my favorite!!! This makes me feel wonderful and I really enjoy this new Coach fragrance...it smells lovely. I feel so fresh, flirty, and fresh. I would recommend it to everyone! It allows your happiness to radiant over to those around you. The fruity notes complement the floral notes beautifully. Much better than the original! Also, I have never liked a Coach fragrance enough to want. My s/o got this for me after he smelled this one me at the mall and loved it on me. Strongly recommended for fruity, floral lovers.

Polishes -Essie - power clutch
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/16/2011 10:12:00 PM

I will admit I bought this based on all good reviews on here and the name Power Clutch seemed so cute to me! I was excited to use it and I planned on wearing it to a x-mas party tomorrow evening! This was surprisingly RUNNY. When I applied this I had to put a piece of paper underneath to catch the fast drips so then I applied with a much lighter hand and had to build it up. But after I did that I realized that I did not care for the color since it just looked dirty like wet clay on me and I removed it quickly.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst in 070 Soft Nude [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
tightkitty 12/16/2011 6:50:00 PM

I thought this was going to be great hearing all the great reviews. When I first saw the color it was very nice but, when I tried to put this on it was quite hard so I rubed and rubed and nothing just a sheer hazelnut. I kept putting more on for some time and could not get anything but a sheer nude shade out of this. I was looking for a nude that would mute out my lips or something similar to my fairest nude. The consistency was hard almost as if this was a very bad waxy lip liner. Fairest nude is by far a better pigmented lipstick get that instead esp if you do not have fair skin.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Beautiful

Yuck..I can't stand the scent of this. I'm not sure why this makes me feel sick like I could vomit at any time. This is so strong and stinks. It smells like it's from the 80's.I think this could be the most repulsive frangrance to my me it makes me feel sick. I never actually sprayed this on myself, the negative reactions I had with this is just from whiffing the bottle. I get a headache even if this is in a magazine. I would be terrified of what would happen if I actually sprayed this on my body.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Easy Eye Solutions Eye Tuck and Dark Circle Treatment

This company reminds me of LUXY LOL Everyone, please be aware that the most of the positive reviews on this product are FAKE. If u check the reviewers' profiles, they only have one or maybe three reviews, and most of them were written the day they became a member, and they haven't visited back since! I hate how fake reviewers like this are attempting to ruin this wonderful forum, so be aware!!! Check the reviewers' profile, see if they write a lot of reviews, or just a couple, if they are active on the boards, etc. I noticed that several of the fake reviewers' profiles said they were from Canada for some reason. I also start to wonder if some people who left a long, detailed and positive reviews here actually work for this company or maybe they are the same person??? They look suspicious... Most of them only have one or two reviews, several even only had review for this product. It's just this strange feeling when I read these reviews, BUYERS BEWARE!

Eyeliner -New York Color - Eye Liner Pencil in White
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 12/14/2011 8:29:00 AM

DON'T BUY THIS..Super hard, waxy and clumpy even on the back of my hand. No way you could apply it to your eyelids it was PAINFUL trying to drag this super dry pencil anywhere on your eyes. Even if you do happen to get some product on your eye it looks very cakey and horrible. This is an awful product. Even though it was only a dollar I would never repurchase or attempt to try again.

Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Multi correction eye cream
rated 1 of 5
tightkitty 12/13/2011 7:33:00 PM

I got this since I had small lines under my eyes and dark circles and also thought it might be a good preventative to start using something anti-aging now. This started to burn my under eyes after I applied for a few nights in a row. So I would take a break if the irritation became to unbearable. This should have put up a red flag for me but I thought maybe this is one of those products that it might get worse before it gets better, like retin-a. So I would continue using it every night until I couldn't take it anymore. I would then take a break and try to continue using it again over and over again. Meanwhile, after I began using this my under eyes became so dry and at times burned. Somehow,I finished the tube in all it's entirety and it wasn't easy!!! I noticed no positive aspects what so ever. My under eyes weren't even more moisturized ,they actually felt drier and the lines became WORSE under my eyes and they were deeper. Most of the time my under eyes became severely dry and RED and felt raw during this whole ordeal. I'm not sure if the retinal in this thinned out my eye area and that's why my lines became emphasized, all I can say is that it was irreversible and since it happened last year they never went back to normal. I do not recommend and I wish I had never used this. This was the worst experience with any product I have ever had since I am left with deep lines under my eyes now.

I used this some time ago. This stung my face. Im not sure if it was because I have been using retin-a also or what. But after I introducted this I started breaking out and counld not continue using this. I was not surprised I broke out since upon application it did not absorb and felt like oil laying on my face.I heard that it got discontinued pretty much right after I bought it.
