Liquid -NARS - Oilfree foundation
rated 1 of 5

Writing this on behalf of my niece who broke out terribly 2 weeks after starting to use Nars. We begged her to go see a dermatologist as she never had issues with skin, so we figured had to be a change in routine. Beware, as it will cost you even more than the foundation if you have to see a dermatologist , like she did. Nars, we learend, is full of mineral oil. Way to clog pores.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Based on the Youtube recommendation of emilynoel83( Beautybroadcast) I tried this foundation. It is fantastic and I am on my 3rd tube. This, from someone who never wore foundation! She finds it comparable to Revlon Colorstay but cheaper. Blends well, great colour range with in store testers so you dont make a mistake and truly lasts way longer than you need it to.

Without a doubt, the darkest, black mascara I have used. Never runs. DARK black. Simply the best any money could buy.

Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick in South St. Seashell

After many years of giving up blush because most of the powder ones give you an "older" look and were too pigmented, I have found this soft ,creamy blush. Love that you swirl it on and pat with fingers, no brushes need. I have it in Berry New Yorker and love it. It gives a blush of colour and you never look like you have piled on too much. Well worth it.

Was hoping this would be a great creme to powder foundation. No such luck. Blends poorly and comes off lighter than you expect.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Lemon Aid
rated 1 of 5

Guess what? Yellow ( Lemon Aid) + blue ( under eye cirlces) = GREEN. So if you want green under eye circles, just use this. I have tried using it on eye lids( creases in minutes) to hide red Spots (( nope) and highligh inner corners ( fail). The only thing good about this product is its name. It doesnt work.

Crème -Cover Girl - Simply Ageless

I am just SO lucky the drug store reimbursed me for this dog of a product! I had no idea that the colour I chose would be so light and pale once it mixed with the white streak in the pan. Of course, Cover Girl had NO testers. Too cheap, I guess or purhaps they feared people would not buy it once they tried it. What a waste of my time. What a poor product. No way you can balance out the white streak vs creme foundation at all so its very uneven. AVOID this.

Concealers -Almay - smart shade

This is the worst concealer I have ever bought. Dont waste your money. Comes out pasty white, so you panic thinking its too light. Then, as you try and blend, it turns beige( still too light and too sheer to cover anything) Useless.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - confessions of a concealaholic

I think this kit is amazing! The Erase paste is a salmon coloured base ( like Eve Pearl suggests using) to block out darkness under eyes. The 2 Bo-ing shades( light and medium) means you can custom blend to your needs and tap it on over the Erase paste.I used my finger to blend the 2 together. The pink highlight is great for inner corner and is not glittery, so looks fresh and natural. Lemon Aid disappoints as it creases but I am going to experiment with it and see if it can be used as a shadow base. The primer does give a mild glow but I would not buy on its own. I am in love with the combo of Erase Paste and Bo-ing.The colour result is great and a quick pat removes any creasing under eyes, which can occur with any concealer after several hours.

Concealers -Vichy - Dermablend Skin Concealer
rated 4 of 5

About 1/2 way through a tube ( expensive) that seems like it willl last forever. Very good, opaque coverage for under eyes. Use a small brush to pat in- it does make a difference. A creamy liquid that dries to a matte finish , staying on all day. Stays on so well, you need a good makeup remover to get it off. Highly pigmented, so a tiny, tiny amount goes a very long way. I have other concealers, in creams, mouse, mineral powder, but I always come back to this one.

May I join the chorus of very unhappy users and say this is the poorest concealer palette I have ever bought. Greasy, bubbles up on your skin, no coverage,. Needless to say, its now in the garbage. I couldnt stand looking at it and then feeling bad ( again) for buying it.

Saw this on Youtube and was totally sold on how great it looks if you have dark hair. I love it. Its on at Rite Aid for BOGO 1/2 off second purchase. I got the" Born with it " as an alternate lighter shade for the 2nd purchase. Can see that one being great with a smoky eye look or when more tanned.

Palettes -Cargo - Hands of Hope Eyeshadow Palette
rated 5 of 5
tastest 1/13/2010 4:04:00 PM

Got this as a Christmas gift and am so impressed with it. Full size, generous amounts of blendable eyeshadow in a great range of colours. Not glittery, they have a bit of sheen and so are suitable for daytime as well as night. Best of all, the coppery brown shadow looks AMAZING with my green eyes- who knew? Cant wait to try out all the colours Update: A very cool new look I am getting from ths palette is to 1st line with black eye liner, then choose any of these shadows and go over the liner for a subtle new colour and look.

Mascara -NYX - NYX Doll Eye Mascara- Long Lash
rated 5 of 5

After shedding tears on learning Max Factor 2000 calorie mascara was leaving this market, I was on the hunt for a great replacement. THIS is it! You will get a false eye lash effect fast, with one or two swipes. LOVE this mascara ( with the crazy name). NYX maybe harder to find but worth it. In Canada, I got it at a downtown Toronto Pharma Save. Its not cheap, but if every time you use it, it looks great, then thats worth the money.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
rated 1 of 5
tastest 1/7/2010 5:44:00 PM

This is a terrible mascara that tries to sell itself as "unique' through its curvy plastic brush. The brush may be unique but the actual mascara is very poor in quality. All it does is clump. I hated it so much, I threw it out so I would not be reminded of the mistake I had made in buying it.Dont you make the same mistake.
