Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - bamboo eye shading brush

good stuff. quality handle, soft bristles. although soft, the bristles are also quite dense and stiff enough to have precision when applying. i love this line... it's so cheap so go out and get some! i'm never going to buy my brushes anywhere else.. (except maybe from too faced, which are extremely similar)
love the look of these powders when used together. it is a perfect travel palette and i love the look of this with the 2 darker colors on my face and dandelion as an eyeshadow with lots of black mascara and a lippy. so easy and natural. since i love the combo of all 3 together so much.. i doubt i would even buy these separately -- i would just buy the palette again. -this palette works GREAT for my skin-tone: yellow-based, fair redhead -the brush is not the best but it could do for touch ups but you have to swirl it around a lot for it to blend -the packaging... not my favorite. i wish at least there was a magnet to keep it closed or that it was a compact! oh well -the blushes themselves are small.. but bigger than i expected given all the hype about how small they are. i bought the ecotools blush brush from walgreens and because of the domed bristles, fits into each compartment perfectly. -the amount of shimmer/sparkles is just right. i HATE shimmer on my face (eyeshadow is ok), but the amount in this really is more "glowy" than shimmery. it's not in your face. also, of course the bronzer is matte i ordered this from the benefit website... they shipped really fast and included some bonus samples. :) <3 this palette
WOW!! way to go walgreens. the hairs on this brush are very very soft and dense. similar to too faced's teddy bear hair brushes if you have felt those. i love how the top of the brush is very domed... good for getting powder out of small spaces (i've been using this with my benefit powder pop). it doesn't pick up a lot of powder at one time, but i actually prefer that, since it allows you to build color more gradually instead of depositing a lot at once. also, the brush is very nice for blending. i use this for blush and bronzer -- it works perfectly for both. did i mention... i think i got this for about $6 !!! it has a nice handle and the fact that it's eco-friendly and cruelty free is a HUGE plus for me. i am really impressed with this line and will continue to buy the other pieces.
i bought this because the lightest purple looked similar to the light purple in the 'paradise cove' palette... which is a wonderful texture, very pigmented, and really brightens up the eye. but, the one from this palette is not nearly as pigmented as the other one, in fact it barely shows up at all on me and does not have the same "illuminating" effect. this is true of the other 2 colors in the palette... and all 3 don't have wonderful staying powder. a little disappointing since i thought they would be comparable quality to the paradise cove palette.. which actually has similar (but better) versions of these shades, so check it out if you can find it
wonderful color. not too glittery/frosty and not too matte. this is a "julianne moore" color. perfect for natural redheads !!! not too orange but not too brown either. looks really natural on, and does not make my lips look dry like some LS do.

yes i suppose this makes my skin softer, maybe even clearer, is gentle and removes residue makeup. but this stuff smells horrendous. try to smell it in the drugstore before you buy if at all possible. EDIT: ok ok... i give in. i learned to deal with the smell and overall this is a great toner. it's gentle and yet somehow keeps your skin clear. also... cheap. so i increased the rating from 3 to 4
Gels/Soaps -St. Ives - Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Wash

The best body wash at a drugstore. This is very cheap (a few dollars) and in a large bottle... got it at Walgreen's. It has a nice but not strong smell, has a LOT of lather, feels very smooth when using and makes my skin soft after use. It actually feels very luxurious although the reason I got it was for the price... great buy, try it out!
lots of silver microglitter ... but this doesn't really show up if you apply only as a liner. love the packaging... minimalist is best. this is a great drugstore shadow.
Eye Shadow -Sonia Kashuk - Eye Shadow Quad - Smoke in Your Eyes

Good way to get a smoky eye without looking like a disco ball! Totally matte & classy shades. The brown and gray actually look pretty good with brown eyes. The black can be used as a liner. This is a decent quad for less than $10 i would not use these by themselves however, as they can look a little "flat." recommended as liners only
i have "Cool Beans," which is a lovely taupe brown. I love the creaminess although that means the pencil goes pretty fast and breaks when I sharpen. I love this color for a really subtle eyeliner look, with a beige shadow and black mascara. It "wakens" my eyes a little bit. I don't like the amount of glitter/frost in it... looks a little childish in sunlight.
Lipstick -Sephora - Lip Attitude - Chic in Rose Select 03

I LOVE this color !! This is a natural peach pink. It's actually almost exactly the color of my lips, which makes it a perfect pair to finish the lips with a strong eye. This is a HG color for me to do a natural look.

doesn't dry or break me out and removes any leftover makeup my cleanser doesn't catch. has a nice tingling/cooling sensation that is great when you are trying to wake up. not really a "miracle" product but it does its job and feels nice.
Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Scunci Boar Bristle Paddle Brush

I bought this for a little under $10.. I have long hair, about 7 or 8 inches past my shoulders, that is of medium thickness. While the bristles don't go fully through my hair if I brush just on top, I can completely brush out my hair by brushing on top and underneath. I love the shape of the brush (curved) and the size seems to be good enough for the length of my hair. I love using this brush... I wanted a natural hair brush that would not break my hair as easily. This makes my hair baby soft and has pulled out *very* few strands, especially compared to my regular (not bristle) brush. I get a lot of volume and it makes my hair look "feathery." The bristles are also long enough to reach my scalp, which feels great! Highly recommend!
i agree with the first reviewer who said this was a whiter version of stila kitten. this instantly brightens my face when i use it as a wash from my lid to brow bone. i use it with black mascara and gloss... and it's a perfect "awake" look. also looks good with a bright brown in the crease and lid. it's best applied with a larger eye shadow brush. as a highlighter, this is ok, but i think this really stands out when i use it all over my lid. simpler is sometimes better! this is hands down my *favorite* eye shadow out of my dozens of colors. i wear it almost every day.
wonderful!! on the package it says some users experience an "electric" sensation .. i found that to be true, and the tingling seems to last for about 20 minutes (i actually like the tingling!). this is also a very thick gloss, which helps it stay on my lips longer. color: i got the "kiss" color, which delivers just enough color but is still rather sheer so it's not a full-on lip. looks very juicy (smells a little juicy as well). i love the applicator... has a twist off with a sponge tip, so it's not messy at all. surprisingly... it did "enhance" (plump) my lips a little. i was going to get the peach color, but after seeing how sheer this is i don't think that would have shown up as much. the red is gorgeous!
