Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Melon
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:15:00 PM
I'm not sure exactly what to say about WHY I love this piggie, I just DO! Its a beautiful corally pinky peachy orangy if that makes any sense! The manner in which you apply it sets the precedence for how it will look, its very versatile (try it on eyes, with clear gloss on lips, etc) and would be flattering on most skintones.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:13:00 PM
I got this as part of the "wish kit" and, as with all the items in it, I couldn't be happier. I'm a warm ppp (NC 15) w/ brown hair/eyes and this gives me a wonderfully beautiful glow on my cheeks. I see myself using it much more when fall rolls around (I'm on a peach kick right now) but I find it blends easily with the small kabuki brush and looks very natural, wears lightly and long...can't ask for more!

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - brushless mascara
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:10:00 PM
I got this as part of the wish kit and was a bit perplexed at "how" to use this! Thanks to my mom, who is a huge BE fan, I got a quick lesson and was well on my way to long, luscious lashes. I almost always go for an inky black formula since I have dark hair, brows, lashes and medium dark eyes. This is an INKY black as others have said that really glams up the eyes. I had no clumping but if I did, my handy dandy SK metal lash comb would surely remedy that. I'm very tempted to never touch another mascara for dramatic eyes again.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Good Fortune Glimmer
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:08:00 PM
What a fun but neutral shade! In the pot it looks like a peach tinged gold and goes on very similar. I've seen many say it loses its peachy qualities but I found that using a champagne colored base helps to preserve that. I think it'd make a great highlighter or a nice gloss mixed with clear. I got this in the wish kit and, as with everything that came in it, I couldn't be more please. BE is quickly reeling me in as a huge fan!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Glimmer- True Gold
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:06:00 PM
A wonderful friend (thx Monty!) sent this to me as a gift when I was on the search for the perfect "true gold" eye color to wear. She couldn't have been more "right on." I have experimented with this dry, wet, buffed down, etc and seem to be able to make it work in just about any look I'd like to try. It is great over my blushes, I'm sure would mix well w/ a gloss, and is a stellar compliment to ANY eyeshadow collection. I've YET to see a gold in ANY line that merits the praise this one does.

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Well Rested
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:04:00 PM
Despite its "normalcy" I'm finding myself drawn to this shade. It makes a great wash to "perk up" tired eyes. I've not tried it under my eyes yet as I have a pretty set undereye regime to keep things looking somewhat normal! LOL I'm sure there are similar, less pricey shades but I got this in the wish kit (which I'm thrilled with btw) so I'm pleased.

Eye Shadow -MAC - "Sprout" eye shadow
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 9:02:00 PM
I bought sprout when on the search for a very specific green shade...in fact I wanted the exact shade of the jade shadestick but in powder form and this was the closest. It IS a tad on the dry side but I find if I use a denser brush it goes on fine. This is one of my favorite shades and I reach for it often...very pleased with this purchase. I'm a warm ppp with brown hair/eyes and this shade is very complimentary, brings out the honey/gold in my eyes.

Eyes -Mary Kate and Ashley - Sequin Dust/Sparkling Powder "Buttercup"
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:59:00 PM
Buttercup is a beautiful smooth pale butter yellow infused with yellow gold shimmer. I love this color used on my browbones, or as a highlighter for my blushes , etc but by far, layering it over WnW cream e/s in envy is my all time fave use for this product. Who says you can't find good products cheap?

Beautifully vibrant aqua turquoise color with A LOT of pigment and gold shimmer. Works wonderfully as a liner applied wet but I don't reach for it often.

No color explanation needed...just as the name implies...granny smith apple green! Great for making brown eyes pop, smooth, has staying power, but sadly dc'd.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Blue Lagoon
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:52:00 PM
This is a beautifully vibrant aqua blue green shade that glides on silkily and stays put! I threw out my old beloved cg aqua paradise after finding this shade (while on the search for the long gone-at least in my area-jane millionaire). Pair it w/ neutrals like jane magical mushroom and you have a great pop of color that makes brown eyes sparkle.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Sensual Sage
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:50:00 PM
What a beautiful shade I've found in this inexpensive drugstore gem! Its a sage green as the name suggests, that goes on silky w/ some shimmer. Although sage, its not so gray, but rather has a golden hint to it that really looks gorgeous on brown eyes. I have no complaints about quality or staying power!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - MegaEyes Creme Eyeshadow - #196 Champagne Toast
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:48:00 PM
WnW produces yet another great product at a low low price! This is my "usual" e/s base. It does a great job of lightening up my dark lids while adding some shimmer and helping my powder shadows "stick." For the price you have nothing to lose trying this and if you don't like it, someone here on MUA WILL!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish- Plum Silva
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:46:00 PM
I must be one of the few that didn't like this product. No matter how I apply it, where, with what brush, I always look bruised. The consistency of mine this grainy and rough, doesn't go on even and just didn't work for me at all.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Cream Eyeshadow- #192 Envy
subdriverswife 8/7/2004 8:45:00 PM
What a wonderful find in a little tube! This great bold lime green shade is wonerful on its own or as a base for other shades. I love to top it w/ MK&A sequin dust in buttercup for a shimmery green/yellow/gold eye that brightens my whole face. Staying power is pretty darned good and you can't beat the price.
