I have used both glycerin from the drugstore and vegetable glycerin from Whole Foods as a base for homemade vitamin c serum. Glycerin is not for science experiments; it acts as a lubricant and emollient and is in many skin care and personal products. Vegetable glycerin is a bit more sticky than standard Glycerin from Walmart. Lets just say it has multiple uses including naughty ones-- I find the standard stuff very helpful as needed in the bedroom for a fraction of the cost of the fancy brands. The vegetable glycerin is for my face serums only. Hope this helps someone.

Mascara -Max Factor - Lash Lift Mascara

This brush tugged too hard on my lashes and I gave up in disgust after a few weeks which is surprising as I like most of CG's mascara brushes well enough. Rather suffer some clumps and use a lash comb than endure the tugging effect.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)

Good basic staple mascara for everyday use- no drama mama effects here. I have used it on a rotational basis with my other favorite mascaras for many years. It is good for lengthening and can be layerered up with CG Super Thick Lash if you need more volume. Used alone it creates a nice not overly made up eye.

Behaves just about the same as all Rimmel mascaras do for me which is barely passing with lots of globs and clumping. Brush is slightly better than some others. You get what you pay for with this cheap product.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal

This will give you over the top dramatic lashes with minimal effort. The downside for me was it was very heavy on my lashes and therefore irritated my eyes after a few days and left me with brittle crunchy lashes. Will not repurchase.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Pedi Paws

The product works to trim down your pets nails very well but it leaves very rough edges and I screamed in pain the next day when my dog jumped on my bare legs. You will need a separate buffing tool to soften the short deadly daggers this product leaves behind on your pets nail bed. If they included a separate smoothing head this would be top rate.

This item was completely useless for me and I tried to use it many times. If you have perfect heels go for it-- anyone else with seriously dry heels I recommend Amlactin at night to get rid of dry dead skin on your feet.

Mascara -Neutrogena - Healthy Volume

Horrible most perfumed mascara I have ever bought!! The smell is putrude like an old lady's stifling perfume. Good brush that I washed and will use for other mascaras as a brush. Not happy to pay over 7 dollars for nothing. Shame on you Neutrogena- mascara's do not require such an offensive odor.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - TruShine Lipstick Currant

Although fair, I selected this dark shade as this line is more of a stain and I like some color on my lips. I like this color alot. To me it is a close match to Clinique's Black Honey with more coverage and a deeper tone when first applied. It appears quite dark in the tube but applies as a brownish plum. I would call this a neutral because its not too warm or too cool. As it fades or when applied lightly it looks exactly like Black Honey on my lips. This lipstick line is fragrance free and I like it better than Clinique- wish they would make some more shades as its a very impressive product.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - TruShine--Cherry Shine

Even though I am fair,I chose the darker shade of Cherry Shine in this line as this line is a more of a stain than a lipstick and I like some color on my lips. I like this color alot. It can be applied full force and lives up to its name- a deep burgundy cherry with cool blue undertones. Amazingly, it is not too pink or too blue toned. No goth look or barbie pink lips- it appears darker in the tube than it does on your lips. As it wears off it still leaves a very pleasant stain on my lips-a shade just a touch brighter than my natural lip color. I think anyone who needs cool undertones could work with this shade. I like the amount of shine- it is minimal but just right for my age. I do apply something moisturizing lightly on top as all lipsticks dry my lips out. The lipstick is fragrance free a big bonus in my book and I like it better than Clinique. Very impressive for a drugstore buy.

I bought this lipstick in a buy one get one sale and I am very happy I did. I selected currant shine and cherry shine. First of all I am ecstatic to find a fragrance free lipstick at this price. I cannot normally buy drugstore lipstick because I do require fragrance free. The lipstick is a stain with just a touch of shine. Very natural looking when you are in the mood for light to medium coverage.

This is a dark, neutral and matte shade of brown that can be used for darkening or modifying any lipstick color. This product is fragrance free. I apply this lipstick over my favorite lipsticks to darken the shade and use a lip brush to blend. After that I apply plain avocado oil or lip gloss, which in my opinion is a necessity, as this lipstick is not moisturizing at all. It has good staying power and you can create subtle to dramatic effects with this color. Applied on bare lips you need hardly any as the color is so potent. The shade is one of the darkest matte browns I have ever found- no orange or copper undertone that I can see. I would give this a 5 if it had any moisturizing elements but it would probably be less effective for its intended purpose, darkening other shades, if it was super slick.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Coconut Oil

I would recommend this highly as a once a week conditioning treatment to be applied immediately after heating from ear level to the ends of the hair and left on for at least a half hour before washing out. I heat up a small portion in my microwave and apply to damp hair. Very nice oil that puts some shine back in your hair.

Conditioner -Desert Essence - Fragrance Free Conditioner

This is a rather mediocre conditioner that leaves no body or shine after its use and I still had flyaways! I agree with the others I don't like the container as the tube gets clogged up easily although the packaging is in a pretty color...lol Thats about the best thing I can say about this conditioner.
