Lip Gloss -Clinique - Color Surge Impossibly Glossy - Cream Soda
sarahbella1012 3/15/2006 3:40:00 PM
I LOVE this gloss! I have no idea WHY I never purchased it before now. I already own Brasin, so I am famililar with and love the texture already. Cream Soda is exactly as everyone describes it - bronzey pink with a lot of shimmer - but the good kind. The kind that does not travel across your face during the day. Perfect with or without liner for day or at night! Staying power is better than most for me. This gives you 1-2 hours max and it fades into a sort of stain. (MAC NW20 for ref). Will definatley repurchase. I am impressed with this line from Clinique!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss - Toast to Shine [DISCONTINUED]
sarahbella1012 3/12/2006 6:13:00 PM
This is a beige-champagne gloss with shimmer that I thought would wash me out (NW20, pale lips). While it is not my favorite in the line, I like it enough to keep it. It's great for toning down brighter lipsticks and looks very natural and pretty by itself. The glitter is not chunky and does not irritate. I will more than likely not repurchase this one but I have no regrets.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Shocking Spice Liquid Lacquer
sarahbella1012 3/10/2006 8:35:00 PM
I compared the LE Shocking Spice to Nude Lustre in-store since they look similar and I dislike Nude Lustre on me. Shocking Spice has more pink and does not contain any shimmer or sparkle. When applied the look is glossy and pretty - very neutral, almost MLBB. I like it a lot for spring/summer or every day wear but I am not sure that I will stock up on it just yet. Staying power and packaging is same as others. (NW20/barely pigmented lips for ref.)

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Shine City
sarahbella1012 3/10/2006 8:26:00 PM
LOVE this gloss! It is an ultra pale pink and sparkly in the tube, but when applied it looks nearly bare. This is my FAVORITE clear-ish gloss right now - even over my beloved MAC clear lipglass (WAAAY too sticky, but love its staying power). There's not much else to say that has not been said. I can see why this is so popular. Cute packaging too! I will continue to purchase this "color" as well as collect other S/L gloss colors. Retails for around $6. (NW20, barely pigmented lips for reference). The new, improved version with SPF 15 makes this an even BETTER value!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre
sarahbella1012 3/10/2006 3:45:00 PM
This shade is more of a bright peachy-pink-coral than anything actually nude. I can see where it may work wonderfully for women with warmer skintones I am NW2O with cool undertones and it just doesn't work on me. Won't repurchase. I tossed it.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Pearl Plum
sarahbella1012 3/9/2006 1:37:00 PM
Pearl Plum is a pretty plum gloss with TONS of glitter. It's actually a little TOO much glitter for me, so I don't reach for it as often as I could. Lasting power is so-so, as with all SL glosses, but this one looks great alone or over lipstick. I used this over Stila's Luce at my brother's wedding (as a bridesmaid) and received LOTS of compliments. Great for nights out also if you don't mind reapplying. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again since I'm a self-admitted gloss junkie. I'm always looking for the latest and the greatest. Recommended though. (NW20, cool undertones, for ref).

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Cherries in the Glow [DISCONTINUED]
sarahbella1012 3/9/2006 1:31:00 PM
I don't normally LOVE red glosses, but Cherries in the Glow is an option that applies sheerly with a high gloss shine. The only other red gloss I've loved is Clinique's Cherry Spritzer and this is much more affordable. Lasting power could be better, but it's SO cheap and can be found for BOGO often so I won't complain. I can see where this would compliment most skin tones. (I'M MAC NW20 for reference).

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Lipgloss in Dizzy
sarahbella1012 3/8/2006 8:56:00 PM
Perfect light peachy-pink color with TONS of shimmer (not the scary kind). Comparable to MAC's Love Nectar Lustreglass, but thicker and with a TOUCH more pink. Looks wonderful against my NW20 skin and with MAC Blushcreme in Pleasureful. Awesome spring look! I LOVE these glosses. RAVE!

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Gloss in Spritz
sarahbella1012 3/8/2006 8:51:00 PM
I have a major fixation with these glosses right now because they are probably THE BEST drug store gloss I've purchased - EVER! Spritz is a lighter plummy-based pink with tons of sparkle that does not look childish or overly frosty when applied (I typically HATE frost ANYTHING). It reminds me of Moonbeam Gloss in Stellar, though the texture is not as glossy and a bit thicker. Staying power is MUCH better than any Revlon Super Lustrous I've tried. Ranks right up there with the higher end glosses in my book. Would definatley repurchase this one! RAVE! (NW20, hazel eyes, brown hair for ref). Retails for around $6.29.

Lip Gloss -Prescriptives - Moonbeam Reflective Gloss - Deep Space 09
sarahbella1012 3/8/2006 1:15:00 PM
This gloss is very similar to my Clinique Black Honey and my MAC lip gelee in Moistly. It's a beautiful color and applies sheerly. One lippie off for inconsistant application however. I have not had this problem with other Moonbeam glosses. LOVE this for fall/winter or a night out. Not sticky and looks very natural - the opposite of what you'd imagine by looking at the tube.

Lip Gloss -Prescriptives - Moonbeam Reflective Gloss - Stellar 03
sarahbella1012 3/8/2006 1:11:00 PM
This is a pretty plummy pink on my barely pigmented lips and brightens up the green in my hazel eyes. It doesn't last real long, but that's ok, the texture and lack of stickiness more than make up for that. It's an all around good color that I haven't seen replicated in another line. Retails for $17.50.

Lip Gloss -Prescriptives - Moonbeam Reflective Gloss - SuperNova 05
sarahbella1012 3/8/2006 12:49:00 PM
I thought I would love this since it is a beautiful peachy pink in the tube (similar to MAC's Love Nectar Lustreglass), but against my NW20 skin, it washed me out and made my teeth look yellow in addition to being WAAAY to frosty. I had to return it. I'll stick with my lustreglass or Neutrogena's Dizzy for this effect in the future.

Concealers -Clinique - anti-blemish solutions concealing stick
sarahbella1012 3/7/2006 10:23:00 PM
I purchased this thinking it was the perfect product - WRONG! I love the idea, but for $13.50 it is not worth it. I've used it for about 4 weeks and would return it now if I could. I did not notice any benefits as far as reduced acne. As far as coverage it is average - not long lasting. Two lippies for color match for my NW20 skin and portability. I've since discovered that Maybelline makes a similar product for half the price. I'd try their product before I repurchase this one.

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Gloss in Swizzle
sarahbella1012 3/5/2006 7:52:00 PM
Swizzle is a new(er) color in the Moisture Shine Gloss Family. It's a medium pink infused with gold. When applied, the gold does not show up chunky, but as more of a pretty sheen that is not obvious. I am really impressed with the quality of the Moisture Shine line. It seems to have improved since they first hit the market. Not sticky or tacky and lasts a reasonable amount of time. Will probably repurchase. Retails for just over $6, but I found it on sale for less than $5. I've been using it with the Rimmel Jelly Gloss liners and it looks fab! This is a great color for spring and summer.

Blush -Stila - Convertible Color Lillium
sarahbella1012 3/1/2006 4:41:00 PM
I love Lillium! I have NW20, very dry skin with cool tones and this is turning out to be a better match for me than my MAC blushcremes due to the dewey and fresh finish. I love the cute and sleek packaging, but the $20 pricetag is a bit overboard for me - especially since I have to mail order (one lippie off for this)! I haven't had any problems with this being too pink or turning slightly orange, which other MUAers have had with this product. It is a light pink that gives me a perfect flush of color. This will be great for spring and summer! Rave! Will repurchase.
