Lip Liners -Smashbox - Nude Lip Pencil in Fair
rated 1 of 5

This is a useless lipliner for several reasons. Firstly, the colours are all wrong. Not one suited my skin tone, “fair” came closest but even this was too light baby doll pink for my NC20-25 skin tone. Secondly, it dragged on my lips, accentuating the dry, chapped parts and probably contributing to it! This was expensive considering that for just a few dollars more I could get a way better “nude” lipliner with Dior in earth or natural beige.

Blush -Revlon - photoready sculpting blush palette in peach

Horrible product. This has no pigmentation whatsoever in the colours! Honestly, I layered the peach powder on several times to no effect! The brown powder has some pigmentation but again not much… don’t see how you can SCULPT with these unfortunately…Definitely not repurchasing. The packaging is perfect hence the score of five.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
rated 5 of 5
sabrinarose1990 4/1/2012 6:31:00 PM

I have dry, acne prone skin and this is the perfect moisturiser for me. I use it only at night to counter the dryness of my acne medication and benzoyl peroxide gel 5 %. It definitely moisturises the skin and makes it very soft and supple. It also does not break me out in acne (so far), so I will definitely repurchase. And unless you have very, very dry skin, I would not recommend this before you put on make up in the morning, as it will cause your make up to slip and slide off your face…Argh! Very cheap too, so will repurchase I got this in the tube, so no hygiene issues here!

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

I have dry acne prone skin (I know contradiction right?!). This cleanser is very gentle and does not dry out my skin. It hasn’t broken me out either which is good. However, it does not lather so if you like your cleanser to then stay away from this one. But other than that I love it and the price. My skin feels soft after using it also.

Lip Liners -Christian Dior - Rouge contour lipliner in natural beige
rated 5 of 5
sabrinarose1990 4/1/2012 6:01:00 PM

I adore this lip liner. I have the Dior contour lip liners in both earth and natural beige. They are both a much of a muchness with natural beige tending to be more pink. However, both are natural coloured lip liners, and I can use them to make my pout slightly bigger by outlining a little over my natural lip line and then “filling in” before applying lipstick. These lip liners are great because you can use any lipstick shade you want after, so it’s perfect for those that have heaps of lipsticks and don’t want to buy a matching lip liner for every single one. The price is a little expensive, but I have tried all the drugstore brands and high end brands and none come close to matching this one in terms of natural look, pigment and lasting power. Definitely will repurchase

Pressed Powders -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Sculpting Powder Makeup SPF 10
rated 4 of 5
sabrinarose1990 4/1/2012 5:54:00 PM

I love this powder. Firstly, it provides amazing coverage when used on its own or over a liquid foundation. Secondly, it mattifies without being too cakey or obvious. Thirdly, I love how you can use the middle colour as a blush, rather than having to carry too much (throughout the day to touch up or for traveling conveniences). I gave it a four rather than a five however because I think the name “sculpting powder” gives the impression that you can contour with this powder…this is not the case. I found the colours in the beige praline were too light to contour cheekbones/thin nose with this. Maybe, the darker shades can do this but definitely not beige praline! I love the highlighter shade in this, it’s got a very subtle shimmer, rather than full on disco ball glitter... I use this powder like twice a day and it lasts me 4-5 months. It is quite expensive but worth every penny! By the way, I am NC20-25, and I can use the beige praline in both summer and winter… I tried using sable rose in summer but it looked awful. The colours didn’t swirl properly so I had parts of my face with lots of the middle colour (orangey pink) and other parts with the 3rd neutral beige colour. Overall will most certainly repurchase!

Foundations -Napoleon Perdis - Stick Foundation SPF-8
rated 4 of 5
sabrinarose1990 4/1/2012 5:42:00 PM

I love this foundation for several reasons. Firstly, it provides AMAZING coverage, like no other foundation does….I have tried them all, DIOR liquid foundations of nude, forever and sculpt (very good, but pricey and not a lot of coverage), MAC foundation sticks, Bobbi Brown foundation sticks, Smashbox ALL…BUT nothing compares to this one in terms of coverage. I have acne prone, but dry skin and this is the only thing that covers my scars, recurring pimples, etc. However, this foundation does tend to get oily after a few hours, so if you tend to have oily prone skin, I would stay away or if you’re oily but not excessively so, use this foundation but make sure you powder really well after. I have given it a four rather than a five, because even though I have dry skin, this does tend to go oily even on me after a few hours, so I have to powder very well and twice a day, once in the morning and again about midday. I am an NC20-25, and I use look 3 in summer and winter, but I just change my finishing powder, so in summer I use a darker finishing powder (DIORSKIN nude in sable rose) and in winter a paler powder (DIORKSIN nude in Beige praline). By the way, it has not broken me out with new cases of acne, so I would say it's 'acne proof' as my skin breaks out super easy
