Really like this. Im big on natural stuff. It is winter though so who knows if it will work in the mid summer heat. But the smell is refreshing, goes on wet and then drys. No alluminimum (sp?) lol. Liking it so far =) worth a try. they have a few scents but I got the lavender which smells nice but doesnt compete with perfumes.
Misc Beauty Tools -Cover Girl - Clean Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips

I end up getting this when im broke and I have no makeup remover left. It works but its very greasy and not fun on my contacts. Makes them all blurry. Works well on waterproof mascara but there are better products out there.
Eye Makeup Remover -Kiss My Face - Eye Makeup Remover with Shea Butter
redhairdreamer 12/6/2005 12:04:00 AM
I got this because Im sick of using animal testing products. Kiss my face makes wonderful stuff and this is no exception. It comes in a small tube, smells like lavender and shea butter, and is nice and creamy. I dont even use a cotton ball, I just use my fingers. Then I leave some of it on because its very moisturising. Very glad I got this and I use waterproof mascara.
I like this product so far. The spray bottle is very convienient. I put it on after cleansing and before moisturiser. Or when my face needs a quick pik me up on top of makeup. I love the smell (lemony and sweet) and with the spray I dont have to use a cotton ball. Love the fact that it doesnt have the alcohol and doesnt dry my skin. My skin doesnt feel as oily since using this. And found it for 5 bucks so I think its worth it.
Concealers -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Concealer

I bought this as a back up emergency concealer (you know when you leave the house and you forget your makeup bag and you have had a breakout). Ive kept it only for that reason. I dont think it does anything for pimples. I do actually like the pen form for aplication, and the shade i found seems to be perfect. But it will always be my backup foundation to leave in the car or purse. Not my fav. And ive given up on all sacilic acid ingredients in products. Now I just use the bp gel (great product) under everything and my acne barely shows its face anymore.
Styling Products -Rusk - Wired - Multiple Personality Styling Cream

This is the consistancy of a product that I have been looking for in a long time. Not too thick, not too thin cream with some hold. It worked pretty well on my long curly hair. I put it in at night and twisted it then scrunched. Woke up with soft curls. Then sprayed fructis surf hair on top to give it some more hold. Worked pretty good. I only gave it a 4 because I cant see myself spending the money on it again (someone gave me this bottle). So im still on the lookout for something similar for less.
Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Carrot Nutritive Day Creme
redhairdreamer 11/25/2005 1:07:00 AM
I got this in a sample pack from a yard sale so I thought it was the fact that it was old that it came out in chunks lol. But as I read the reviews from others it says the same thing. Yuck, this stuff is greasy and smells like caramel. Not buying this stuff ever. Orange caramel grease is what I would call it.
I cant make up my mind on this product. I got it in a sample pack. The smell is interesting. At first I wasnt too crazy about it but it is refreshing and its nice to not use something floraly. It did burn on my skin due to the high alcohol content. Did make it feel refreshed though. Didnt cause breakouts, but not sure if it did much for my skin either. Im giving it a 3 since im really not convinced its good or bad. But I do think id rather try something else next time. Seems silly to spend that much on something that im not crazy about.
Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Milk & Honey Body Lotion
redhairdreamer 11/25/2005 12:45:00 AM
Goes to show you that everyone is different. I cant stand this stuff. I put it on and it was so bad I washed my hands and I couldnt get the smell off. Then after using scented hand soap and an unsented moisturiser on top of it my fiance still said..."what that smell..yuck" The smell does not even closely resemble milk or honey. I dont know what I would call the smell but its horrible and it didnt absorb too well into my skin. Thank goodness this was a sample kit.
This is an orangy, brown, thick grease substance lol. I got this in a trial pack thank goodness. The smell isnt so bad, its peperminty and coconut, but its like putting crisco on your feet. Maybe this would work if you had been walking the desert for months and your feet were dry as dirt. But for normal foot moisture, no way. This stuff doesnt soak in at all. Though my dog loved licking it off my feet. Will not be using this ever again.
Styling Products -Garnier - Curl Shaping Spray Gel
redhairdreamer 11/20/2005 11:43:00 PM
Ok im a huge fan of the Fructis line, and this product works too. But I will not buy it ever again because its so impossible to get it to spray out of the bottle. The gel is thick and barely comes out. I had to use two hands to spray it or put it on a hard surface and then press down on it while trying to aim it at my hair. I ended up just taking off the top and using the gel. But its definately not as good of a gel as the hard curl gel they make, (less hold). If I could get it out of the bottle in a nice mist spray it would be great. But after the bottle is done (by opening the top and using globs) i wont be repurchasing.
Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style Curl Scrunch Gel
redhairdreamer 11/16/2005 1:30:00 PM
I have strayed away from gels for many years. Its ironic that most gels state on the bottle (no stiffness, no crunchyness) and yet they are horribly crunchy. I only bought this gel because of how much I love the Fructis line. (no kidding I have almost every product and they all work great for their own uses) This gel says CRUNCHY, and yet its the best UNCRUNCHY gel ive ever used lol. Never would I have thought that my long (mid back), medium thickness, curly hair could use gel. I put this in on damp hair, finger twisted and scrunched. The smell is great and the product is not super thick or tacky so it works itself nicely into your hair. I didnt have time to air dry so i difused it with the blowdryer and i have amazing curls right now! =) What makes it different from the Fructis curl mouse you ask? haha. wellll my curls are tighter. and id imagine if I air dryed it they would be even tighter. When I use the mouse they are looser. So now yet another product in the Garnier Fructis line that ill be buying. You really cant go wrong with this line. I bought this because it was on sale 3 for 10 (great price for a kick butt product) and needed two of my normal items from the line, so i tried this one. I havent been dissapointed by anything they make. I honestly use the mouse, smoothing milk, surf hair spray and pomade, soft curl, and soon i will be purchasing the root booster. You may think its a lot of products but wow they all work, and they all work to give me a different hair style. and at 3 for 10 your talking 6 amazing products for 20 bucks! Which is how much id pay for a professional styling product that doesnt even work that well. TRY THIS LINE CURLY HAIR GIRLS. I MEAN IT. IT WORKS GREAT and if it doesnt , your not really spending much anyway.
This product is not horrible but not that great. You have to like the Charles Worthington smell first off because its definately got this scent. I dont mind it actually but I could see how many would not like it. I do really like the feel of this product. I want so much to find something like this (a cream that isnt too thick but isnt liquidy) that works. But so far no good. I put this in my hair at night after a shower and some leave in conditioner. I combed my hair and put it into sections and finger twisted with the product in. When I woke up the results were not what I get with my fructis curl mouse. Parts of my hair were curly and parts were super straight lol. I have use the straightening balm from Charles Worthington before as a curl cream (see my reviews) and it seems I got similar results. I added some mouse and blew dry this AM and it ended up looking good but I dont think any of that was due to this product. So Ill be using the rest of the bottle and then going back to my fructis product line (soft curl cream, curl mouse, surf hair spray and putty which all work great and are cheep but im always trying new things) Oh and also the hole is too small for the product. You really have to squeeze to get it out and its annoying. Maybe this would work for someone but not me. =)
I use self tanners but only on my face usually. Im big on not getting too much sun and my moisturisers have spf in them. Hence im pretty pale lol. I really like this lotion. I got the light version and use it on top of my bp gel (works fine with this so i get my oil/acne protection and the color) I use it at night and have been using it for a week. No streaks, no orange, no dramatic change, but yes a very healthy glow. I like how it takes the pale out of my face and gives me some life. Usually I would get this with a tinted moisturizer foundation like citiblock from clinique. But when my skin looks vibrant I dont use foundation which I love. Not sure how it would work on the rest of the body. I was afraid id get a line by my neck where I dont use it but nothing. I just apply it, blend it in well, and then wash my hands. No orangy stuff on my hands so far either. It does have a self tanner smell but not as strong as a regular tanner would. I actually dont mind it at all. And I think its a good moisturiser as well. Im quite happy with it and will be repurchasing. I think ill stay with the light though, as the medium would prob be way too much for me. It was only about 5 bucks so not bad to try. =)
I only use this on my brows. Its really no different then any other clear mascara but it works good. My brows are a bit crazy (i have these insanely long hairs lol that just like to go wild, and if i pluck them it leaves gaps in my eyebrows) so this keeps them in place. What I do like about this compared to the other clear brands is that it doesnt leave white flakey things in your brows at the end of the day. I find that this defines my brows (and if I add a bit of brown pencil it makes them look pretty good, just the clear can smudge the pencil so you have to wipe it off a little) Its about 4 bucks and I think thats worth it for nice brows. As far as a mascara goes I aggree that if you want natural lashes just dont use mascara =) Me im hooked on waterproof mascara!
