Makeup Brushes -MAC - 192 Cheek/Face brush [DISCONTINUED]
rebelprince 12/14/2009 10:20:00 PM
To be honest, I've wanted this brush for a long time. I love synthetic brushes for foundations and concealers, as I feel I have much more control. The more paddle-shaped, the better, and this one really seemed to be right up my alley. It's thin, so it allows for controlled application to various areas, and the synthetic bristles spread product beautifully to create a great finish. This brush is great for concealers, foundation products, as well as cream blushes. If it's a liquid or a cream, this brush can probably manage it with unwavering precision.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - concealer brush
rebelprince 12/1/2009 5:55:00 PM
While the entire Ecotools line is worthy of noting, this brush caught me off guard. It blends the numerous different concealers that I tend to use... so well that it's now made it's way into my stash of brushes that I use almost daily. I also love using this for anything cream/liquid based. It's a pretty great deal when you get it in the brush set as well.

Moisturizers -Cerave - Moisturizing Lotion
rebelprince 11/9/2009 12:53:00 AM
This product has a lot of claims about what it actually does. I don't have a clue as to what rebuilding my skin's moisture barrier might actually mean, but I do notice that my skin is behaving much better lately. Now, to be fair, I haven't been using it quite long enough to see serious results over time. I intended to try it for a much longer period of time, but ended up sampling some other skin care products. Upon returning to this after a rough reaction, I really started to appreciate this product. The formula is lightweight and spreads very easily. You may not be able to massage it in 100%, but it sinks in within a couple minutes so that you don't feel like it's sitting on top of your skin at any point. The moisture that it provides isn't too intense, but I've never had any dry patches with this product. There isn't an inkling of fragrance to it, which I appreciate. Along with that, it's safe for just about anywhere on your body. When I have an area that requires a bit more moisture, I grab for this. When I apply it, I start at my hairline and I end somewhere in my chest because one pump covers that entire area and leaves the entire area looking soft and hydrated. This product is absolutely wonderful for me, and I would encourage trying this to anyone and everything. Definitely one to repurchase, as it simply works.

Foundations -BeneFit Cosmetics - Play Sticks
rebelprince 9/27/2009 1:53:00 AM
Definitely amazing in terms of foundation, this product delivers very satisfying results. I felt that with this product, the reason why I loved it, was because it delivered exactly what I expected from it. The coverage is wonderful. The packaging is cute. You kind of expect it with the fact that it's a stick foundation. Overall, I have this in shade Spin the Bottle (ref: MAC NW20), and I am pretty sure that I'm going to go back for a second tube when I run out.

Blush -Stila - Convertible Color
rebelprince 6/7/2009 3:22:00 PM
I didn't think that I'd be a grabbing for a Stila product pretty much regularly, but as soon as I got the Convertible Color in Lilium, I find myself reaching for it almost every day. The colors are pigmented, but extremely blendable. I find myself using my fingers to apply this but I tend to blend it out more than my fingers can with my MAC 188 after it's already been applied. This color looks just fantastic. I find it's drying on lips if worn, but I love the color. I simply take the extra step of applying a really good lip conditioner with it because I really like this color. I wouldn't say the product is perfect, but it's something I really enjoy reaching for when I'm doing my makeup because it's extremely easy to use.

Loose Powders -MAC - Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
rebelprince 5/26/2009 10:23:00 PM
This powder does a great job of setting your foundation and leaving your skin with that silky, powdery finish. I have oily skin and with this powder on, I wore foundation for 8 hours before I felt like I had to touch up. Overall, I think the idea behind the powder basically says it all. I also wore it today over my moisturizer and I noticed that I didn't get that moisturized shine that I tend to get about halfway through the day. I would suggest everyone who needs a bit of oil control and want to set their makeup in one quick step.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 224 Tapered Blending (Windshield Wiper) Brush
rebelprince 5/24/2009 1:01:00 AM
Let me just say... if you blend at all, you will love this brush. Everything blends like a dream with this brush. I initially felt hesitant to buy this, but I find it more essential than half of my other brushes now.

Scrubs -MAC - Volcanic Ash Exfoliator
rebelprince 5/5/2009 7:21:00 PM
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this yet. This exfoliator basically does everything I want in a scrub. Makes my pores look smaller, makes my skin look better, and makes it feel silky smooth. If you use this in the shower, it's almost impossible to over-exfoliate because the sugar dissolves on your skin and turns into a murky gray liquid that rinses clean and leaves your skin feeling soft and wonderful. I'd buy this again and again. Glad I got one when they were out.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
rebelprince 3/22/2009 4:28:00 PM
So, let me just say that I was looking for something to wear on a daily basis. Being male, I look for something that isn't really noticeable. I love this foundation. I don't use the sponge but I kind of like the little brush. I have the option to clean that and it does sweep the foundation on nicely. I also use this to set my foundation and used either way, it works beautifully. I'm darker in this foundation than I thought, but it doesn't make me look dark at all (I use the color Beige). The packaging is cute, but not entirely practical. I find this product knock the socks off of my old Studio Fix, though. I'd repurchase again and again. Edit: I hit the pan far too fast on this one. It really should have more product in it.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (Normal to Oily Skin)
rebelprince 3/22/2009 12:05:00 AM
What can I say? Gets all my makeup off and gets my skin clean without stripping it. My skin has significantly improved after using this. I've used a lot of higher end cleansers and this one actually turned out to work the best for me. For the money, this product works pretty darn well.

Moisturizers -Purpose - Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion with spf 15
rebelprince 3/19/2009 7:27:00 PM
Gently hydrating, and has a solid SPF for incidental sun exposure. Great bare-bones, day to day moisturizer for someone who just needs a bit of moisture and a bit of sun protection. Plus, one pump is generous enough for face and neck. Overall, I'm entirely satisfied.

Mascara -MAC - Plush Lash
rebelprince 3/11/2009 9:50:00 PM
I like this mascara. It fattens my lashes and gives them a good bit of length. It's good at being a simple, staple mascara. I find myself purchasing this and often using it as a base coat to go with anything lengthening if I want to get that false lashes look without actually wearing falsies. I do think that this is worth buying, and the price doesn't leave you hating yourself.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Lip Conditioner Stick SPF 15
rebelprince 2/21/2009 11:17:00 PM
Honestly, it's more than I wanted to pay for lip balm, but I figured it was worth a try. I ended up picking this up after a recommendation from a male makeup artist. (I'm male, myself). I really just wanted something to stop my lips from getting dry. After the first use, I was unsure about this. Then I continued to use it for a few days, and my lips are soft, smooth, and probably in the best condition they've been in for days. That being said, I feel like I have to use this to keep them that way. My lips got a little dryer when I didn't have this. I think that this is a decent product, but it doesn't last that long and it feels like once you use it, you have to use more.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #190 Foundation Brush
rebelprince 2/16/2009 5:00:00 PM
There isn't much to be said. I use this for moisturizer, primer, cream foundation, liquid foundation, and powder foundation. I want someone to come along and find me a better brush for foundation, because honestly, this does it all. It may not be as versatile as the 188 brush to me personally, but I adore this one all the same. I find it more practical than the 188 for profession application.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
rebelprince 2/16/2009 4:50:00 PM
Trying this foundation was something that I considered top priority. I was pleasantly surprised when this foundation smoothed right on to my face and looked like a second skin. The coverage is medium for me, which is perfect because that's really all I need (mild redness and some general unevenness of tone). The finish is very natural and the foundation is slightly moisturizing. If you have oily or combination skin, I would suggest basing it with something for oil control or using a blot powder to set it. I believe this could be an HG product if I could master making sure that there isn't any oil breakthrough, because the finish is astounding. I would definitely encourage everyone to try it. Update: When using this with MAC's Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder, it's 100% HG.
