Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Butter
raggie92 6/13/2012 4:31:00 AM
I received this as a gift from my friend, along with the Cherry Blossom bath gel. Go shower with the gel, and slap this body butter on and you will smell really divine. I'm never one for floral scents, but this took me over. It's a very delectable floral scent that have a nice light note to it. The scent is not overwhelming at all, and I like to use this body butter as a hand cream and all over the body. It is meant for normal skin which is fine by me despite my skin gets a little dry due to the conditions I sleep in. The body butter is very appropriate to be applied during the day if you wanna skip out perfume. Would definitely repurchase because it smells so good, and perhaps I would try out the Cherry Blossom collection(Body lotion and EDP)

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Spiced Vanilla Body Butter
raggie92 6/13/2012 4:26:00 AM
This body butter is quite moisturising as expected and smells really lovely. The sweet smell of the vanilla, and a light note of Cinnamon as well. I use it more as a hand cream and for my joints because it tend to be overly rich for my natural skin somehow. However, when my skin feels really dry and flaky, I would use it all over after exfoliation. I won't repurchase it because the tub is so huge and I could never finish one in a year. And I still have a brand new one as back-up.

Liquid -Bourjois - Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
raggie92 6/13/2012 4:14:00 AM
Favorite liquid foundation! I don't really see oily skin users liking this product, but I think they should try this because it kind of keep the oilies at bay and I actually like liquid foundations that are meant for the dry skin users instead of the oily ones because they actually provide better hydration and thus keeping oilies at bay. I don't mind the sheer coverage because I think it has a rather decent coverage for my skin. I don't really have much acne-scarring but I wish they offer a better color range. I barely used a pump for my entire face anyway, so I'm alright with the coverage. The smell of the foundation is divine and definitely a good product to turn away from the latex smelling foundations like Revlon Colorstay. It's a lightweight foundation thus my skin is able to breath through. This foundation also photographs beautifully because I believe there is pretty much no/minimal SPF content in this foundation so it looks like my natural skin, applied with Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Longevity of the foundation is alright, definitely don't last up till 16 hours but a good ol' 8 hours is fine by me. Thus taking off one lippie. Definitely repurchasing because I like lighter liquid foundations that actually provides rather decent benefits for the skin!

Eyeliner -Kiss Me - Heavy Rotation Gel Eyeliner
raggie92 6/13/2012 4:05:00 AM
I think this is my HG eyeliner, I don't really like to use pencils and liquid liners because I like the finish of gel liners the best and they are so easy to use. This gel liner is by far the best one I've tried, it's creamy and glides on so easily. The brush it comes with is very good as well, able to create thick and thin lines with the brush. Of course I like using other liner brushes with this gel liner too. I think all Kiss Me products are really good because they stay true to their claims and famous for being a waterproof cosmetic brand. This liner is really waterproof and smudgeproof once it's set. I usually line my eyes with this then set it with black eyeshadow. (Note that I don't really line my eyes for school, except on certain occasions) I love how dramatic this liner can be, and it's practically budgeproof on my waterline! A very good liner for the dramatics! Definitely repurchasing it!

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
raggie92 6/13/2012 3:48:00 AM
I feel this shade is over-hyped, as I don't find it really pretty on my natural lips. This will look better with a pair of nude lips as it adds warmth to your lips and preferably for the night because it contains too much glitter for the day. The texture is rather rough compared to the creamier lip butters by Revlon because of the glitter. And the glitter remains on the lips even when the lip butter wears off and could be a pain to remove it. Definitely not repurchasing it. I rather go for the creme finishes of the lip butters like Sugar Plum! (Favorite is Sugar Plum from the Colorburst Lip Butter line)

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30
raggie92 6/13/2012 3:16:00 AM
(I do believe the one I'm using is the Australian version and not the US version) Well, this sunscreen isn't too shabby but not for my liking. I don't like how heavy it feels on my face. Not too sure about the matte finish people here are talking about because I don't really see a matte finish. Yes, it does feel powdery but it's definitely not matte. It didn't break me out, but if you let the tube sits for a while, you will actually realise it separates into oil and cream bases which is rather revolting to look at. I have rather oily skin and I always try to find sunscreen that is oil free, and I was reading off somewhere that this is supposedly a good face primer as well. Don't seem like it to me, because all the primers I've used are so much lighter than this. Definitely not repurchasing this because I found a better and lighter sunscreen.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
raggie92 4/6/2012
Picked these babies up when it came to Singapore! This is my favorite lip butter and I love to top this off over lipsticks for a mild glossy effect. Sugar Plum is more of the pigmented shade from Revlon's lip butters. It's beautiful cool plum that makes any mauve or pink lip color looks beautiful. Wearing it alone is beautiful as well because it just makes your lips look so natural with minimal make-up. Well, it's not extremely moisturising but then I don't have the need to touch up on my lip balm at all, so its good for me. Definitely will repurchase because it goes well with my everyday look!

Polishes -Essie - Mint Candy Apple
raggie92 4/4/2012 10:11:00 AM
This color is really irritating me sometimes when I'm trying to take photos! It turns out super blue in photos but it's a very pretty pastel mint green to wear. It's a super appropriate nail shade to wear during the Spring seasons because it's such a beautiful pastel shade. However, I can't soak my nails with this or it will bubble up. And it takes about 2 coats to get it quite opaque which I think it is fine. I think it looks great with tanned skin as well because it just makes your nails pop! Definitely will repurchase because it is so good!

Polishes -Orly - Androgynie
raggie92 4/4/2012 10:07:00 AM
My actual first glittery nail polish! ORLY's formula is FANTASTIC! It's a beautiful brown-black base with LOADS of small and chunky glitters in it. It will definitely look better with a shiny top coat IMO, since I don't put top coats. The formula is one of the best I have tried on my nails. It just dries down so quickly and smooth! It's a perfect nail polish to glam up your night with your friends or your loved ones. This nail polish is appropriate for day too, but I prefer it to touch up my nails for the nights I go out. Longevity: I say it's good enough because so far my nails are chipped after 1-2 weeks of wearing this nail polish on my toes and fingers. Will definitely repurchase because it's so good!

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
raggie92 2/25/2012 9:11:00 PM
I got mine in #23, and I shall say it is a very grey product when first pumped out. I have tried this out for 3 months already and so far so good. The oil control is not that fantastic but it's good because it didn't break me out and actually blends into my skin really well after a while. And over a long term of use, I realised my skin has become fairer due to the amount of arbutin my skin absorbs from the bb cream and my facial lotion. It covers really well, and yes it does apply grey on my skin at first but it takes a while to oxidise to your skin color. And this bb cream is best applied thinly with your fingers. Brushes are good for sure because they make my skin so flawless but fingers does the job for everyday use because it just blends effortlessly into my skin and it matches my skin better. Definitely a repurchase because it's so good! EDIT: 21/01/2013 I revisited the world of BB creams after straying towards foundations for 7 months or so when I found BB creams to be too thick for everyday wear. I lightly dot this on my face after applying my Eucerin moisturiser and gently rub it in for a natural coverage. This ensures a lightweight and medium coverage for my skin. I do not use a lot anyway, less than a pump is good enough to cover my entire face. I use my fingers for application because brushes do not work very well with BB creams for me. I've been enjoying the time whenever I wear my Missha BB cream. And I find it lasting a whole lot longer when I set it with the right powder. (Such as ZA two-way powder or ELF Complexion Perfection) One thing I noticed is that I have to exfoliate my skin really well and moisturise it really well before using any base products, in order to have it last longer and adhere better. Decent oil control after being set with ELF Complexion Perfection and Skindinavia setting spray.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Lipgloss with Mega Shine - Beige
raggie92 2/25/2012 9:03:00 PM
First of all, the name sucks because it's not a beige color at all. It's definitely a bubblegum pink and it's super pigmented. I like the fact that it does not have shimmers or glitter in it BUT STILL SO SHINY. I like the creme look when I do smokey looks. The downfall of this product, it smells like cough syrup. It really does, but it don't really bother me that much after applying. And it gets really goopy if applied too much. It's a great lipgloss to wear on its own because it just makes your lips so doll-like and sweet. And I love the applicator! Definitely will repurchase this baby and other megashine lipglosses from NYX!

Moisturizers -Vichy - Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care
raggie92 2/25/2012 8:50:00 PM
I'm already on my third bottle of this baby here! My skin has improved drastically with this baby here. I still get breakouts at times, but this product has already done its best by minimising the amount of breakouts I have. It really does clear up my imperfections and moisturises my skin so well. It gives a slightly matte finish before I start prepping for make-up which is so good. I definitely say it's the perfect moisturiser for acne-prone skin and oily skin.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion
raggie92 2/25/2012 8:41:00 PM
My skin has been transformed with this baby here. Yes, the whitening portion is not exactly effective but perhaps the entire series works better. However, it does improve the brightness of my skin and making it look more radiant and translucent. My skin did get fairer because of my BB creams contain arbutin as well which is the main ingredient in this lotion. Best bet for oily skin to be slightly less oily is to moisturise! This baby here moisturises my skin and smoothing out my skin's texture. It's so amazing! So far, I haven't break out from this product and it did lighten up some of my acne scars. Definitely one product I will repurchase for my skincare routine!

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
raggie92 2/25/2012 8:10:00 PM
Ok, I kinda figured that the people who gave bad reviews never test the mascara long enough. This mascara needs to be slightly seasoned to get it to its full power. When I first tried it, IT FLAKED SO BAD that hurt my eyes. I was almost convinced that I got a bad buy. However, I am such person who will use whatever eye products to the full use. After testing the mascara for a week, it started looking better. I have Asian lashes, so it droops straight down, short and quite thin. I started slowly at the base and slowly worked my way up and lightly coating the tips of my lashes for 2 times and I get SUPER NATURAL LONG LASHES that is slightly volumized. Which I think it's very wearable for everyday wear. I am wearing this everyday to school or to my part-time work. And it did not flake over the long period of time, did not smudge or budge when I rubbed my eyes sometimes. It's super waterproof as I needed to get an oil-based remover to remove it. I took out one lippie because it can't hold a curl that well in comparison to the Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara which is my holy grail mascara for lengthening. EDIT: It started become really flaky again and barely felt like I put anything on. It don't really lengthens anymore.

Lip Treatments -Carmex - LipBalm
raggie92 12/10/2011 10:38:00 AM
Carmex is actually not readily available in Singapore's drugstores, but I bought mine from Taiwan. I have it in the squeeze tube form, the more liquid version in comparison to the stick form. It's super glossy and moisturising. My lips would still be soft even when the lip balm rubbed off over a few hours. And it really does last quite long without eating. Drinking only takes off a little, not the entire balm which is fine with me. I either wear it alone or I top it over my Revlon matte lipsticks as a clear gloss which makes the entire look really nice. I would definitely repurchase it because it's the most moisturising lip balm I have tried so far.
