Concealers -MAC - select cover-up

In the past I have used MAC eyeshadows and lip products. This time I thought I should try their concealers. I was looking at their stick version and the MUA suggested this instead. I like the hygenic aspect to it. Additionally, I like the coverage for the face over blemishes and redness around the nose. I would not use it for the undereyes. Good staying power and it doesn't make the blemishes dried up and cakey looking, you know what I'm talking about ;)

Love love love it.... I didn't even try it on, I just saw it in the corner of my eye and said, "I'll take one of those!" Nudey pink with some gold shimmer. Very pretty on fair skin and very similar to Mitzi from NARS. I prefer the MAC, as it doesn't leave my lips dry.

Love it. I pair it with retrospect, woodwinked and this in the crease and the outer v. Very pretty and a touch glam neutral. Not too done. Easy to use and blend, go with so much. Beautiful

This is such a great, understated neutral colour. So pretty and it can be used with so much. It really needs respect. Pair it with cork, era, bronzed, satin taupe or more vibrant colours like bitter or orange. Really, really nice.

Looking at this e/s I thought it would turn out more gold, like Oyster by Smashbox, on my lid and quite frosty. However, I was nicely surprised. I put it below my brow and in the corner and it is an instant wake up for my eyes. Deep set eyes can cause major darkness around the eyes and this helps a lot. Beautiful to blend and very little fall.

Blush -Clarins - multi-blush

I have this product in Lycee and it is so pretty. It gives me the most natural of flushes. I put it on before I use any setting powder. This gives it a more natural look. I either use my clean fingers or a sponge to stiple it on.

I would have to say that this is very close to being my HG foundation. I have Normal skin in the winter, but combo skin in the summer. Let me tell you, this puppy stays on and it looks great all day. It blends easily and the coverage is fantastic. I like that it gives you a healthy look without being too shiny. Well done!

Hair -Revlon - Nutri Color Creme

If you have coloured hair, this little product is fantastic. It refreshes your colour and makes it feel wonderfully silky and gives a beautiful shine. It takes about 3 minutes to use and although it is a bit expensive, my hair is worth it. It is a conditioner that deposits colour onto hair. The colours range from midnight navy to platinum.

Concealers -Prescriptives - Camouflage Cream

I bought this the other day as I am desperate to cover my permanent dark cirlces. The problem with my lovely shadows is the colour. They are very brown as opposed to purple. Plus I have deep set eyes and fair skin. So if I use too light yellow based ....it looks like the reverse raccoon, if I use too pink it looks ashy and grey.. not cute. So, the MA suggested this little number and normally I am a y/o, but she used the R/O. It's good colour and when I am not under stupid work florescents (Cubicle office jobs) I look healthy. Unfortunately, I do have to reapply more often than not and I still look tired under those horrific lights. Also, if you have fine lines, all concealers will settle into them..... do not believe a concealer or a MA who says differently, it just isn't logical. I am a MA and have worked with many products, so this comes from place of experience and training. Of course there are products that will sink more than others. I will see how this goes......

Eye Shadow -MAC - Orange
rated 4 of 5
panda78 6/9/2009 2:31:00 PM

This colour rocks... I mix it with a fushia pink and it makes my hazel brown/green eyes stand out. Just gorgeous. It can be hard to blend as it isn't as silky as their velux or satins, but it's such a great colour.

This was one of my first colours from MAC. It's lovely.. I put it with shroom for an everyday look. Then I smoke it up for evening. I have hazel brown/green eyes and this makes the green stand out. For reference I am a NC/NW15-20...

This colour is so pretty in its package. However, I cannot wear it. I am fair but I have deep set eyes with a natural darkness around them, so I have to use a lot of concealer and primer to lighten them up. I have tried this so many ways, but pinks and greys make me look tired and sick. The idea is nice and I love duochromes.....

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Powder Blush in Pale Pink
rated 4 of 5

This is a very pretty blue-based pink. It instantly wakes up my skin and since I am under ugly florescent lighting all day, this pink helps me out. A little goes a long way, especially on my Fair skin. I am a NW20 and Warm Sand (2.5) for reference.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - Creme d'Nude
rated 5 of 5

I love this colour, thank you MUA for the reviews as I would have never known about this little gem without them. I have Myth, and while it's nice, I have to use it with Florabundance to make it less orange. Creme d' Nude I can use completely on its own. Beautiful texture and it isn't chalky. The MA at MAC indicated they can't keep it in stock. I was lucky!!! :)
