Eye Shadow -MAC - Aquadisiac

I cannot believe I waited so long to get this eyeshadow! I love it, and it is definitely one of my favorites now. Great color, and it looks amazing when you're already doing a blue eye and you blend some Aquadisiac into the outer lid. Love the color and the texture, beautiful! Perfect for summer!

I really love this color, but when it's on my eye, it looks really similar to Swimming. I will still keep both because this lacks the glitter Swimming has. It's also a little brighter than Swimming. It's a beautiful color to pair with oranges and blues. Get your hands on one if you can!

This is exactly what I wanted Plum Dressing to be. Much much better texture and color than Plum Dressing. And depending on what it's used with, it looks very very different. I used it with Woodwinked today and it brought out a lot of red, which I liked as a new redhead :) Very pretty color, very versatile!

Eye Shadow -Milani - Antique Gold #17

I got this as a swap extra and I think it's really, really pretty! It looks ugly and dirty in the pan but it's a great shimmery khaki on my eyes. I love Milani's textures, they're just great. I wish I could get them where I live!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Liquid Sky

Wow! I won this off eBay and I love it. I wore it in the crease with Stila Moonlight as a wash and MAC Aquadisiac in the outer corners, and it was a stunning blue look! I love how it's shockingly blue but has a slight turquoise hue to it. Very nicely pigmented and smooth, blends well. I will be buying more NARS eyeshadows now!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Moonlight Eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5

I have wanted this shadow for a LONG time (before I had any MAC or Stila in my collection!) and have always put it off because it's a "boring" shade. Also, all the reviews turned me off claiming I could find one just like it at the drugstore. Well, I have tried, and they're all too chalky and the shimmer isn't as intense. I also love how high-end shadows are so finely milled. I finally got this in a swap, and I love it! My favorite base/highlighters are MAC Nylon, Phloof, and Goldbit, and this one is basically the same without any other tint. I like the pure frosted white because it's so sheer, it looks like moonlight, its namesake. I think this is beautiful, and it's well worth the extra money for quality.

Wow! I never would have bought this because I had Honey Lust and Amber Lights, and neither of them worked on me, and this is a similar-looking color. But when applied, this is gorgeous and soft and slightly pink on me. A friend traded me for Plum Dressing and I got this, I think I got the better end of the deal! I love the glitter, and the super frostiness. Love it!

Conditioner -Aquage - Hydrating Balm
rated 2 of 5
paleviolet 4/23/2005 3:36:00 PM

This is brand new, part of a 3-set with shampoo, balm, and moisture mist. I don't really like the conditioner, I used it after my Aquage smoothing shampoo and I couldn't brush my hair when I got out. It still felt rough after I rinsed, too. Good thing I only paid $5 and it's a smallish tube. I will stick to my Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal.

I always keep a bottle of this in my shower, no matter what I am using everyday at the time. I love how it makes my hair feel smooth and silky even before conditioner, and the smell has grown on me. So moisturizing!

Cleansers -Olay - Clarity Foaming Face Wash
rated 5 of 5
paleviolet 4/23/2005 3:02:00 PM

I bought this after seeing the ads on TV, because I have a really big problem with monthly hormonal breakouts. It really seems to be helping, it makes my skin soft and it seems clearer. I am using it through my monthly cycle and I don't have any of my regular volcanic eruptions on my skin. Could be power of suggestion, but I really like it. I also like the texture of the product and the light smell. I will buy again.

Hair -Graham Webb - Halo Polish Shine Therapy
rated 4 of 5
paleviolet 4/23/2005 1:31:00 PM

I bought this because I am on a neverending quest to make my hair look shiny and not fried (and I saw it in Lucky). I already have a trillion products like this (Biosilk, Pearatin, Frederic Fekkai Technician Glaze, etc.) but the little bottle was so appealing. I actually really like it. It's not a miracle worker, but one drop smoothed onto each side of my head makes my hair look shinier, smoother, and a little swingier. Not good for volume days, but I wear my hair really flat most of the time. Bonus, it smells really good!

Eyeliner -NARS - Glitter Pencil in 54
rated 4 of 5
paleviolet 4/22/2005 1:21:00 AM

I have no idea what everyone is so turned off about, I think this pencil is lovely. It looks like my UD Midnight Cowboy shadow in a pencil form, very creamy and pretty. The glitter is so intense, I love it! Great for subtle definition with tons of sparkle. I want more colors now!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Rio de Rosa
rated 2 of 5

Eh. A so-so, boring base color. Very matte and not very even, more pink in certain areas than others. I wore it today with Pink Venus. It's OK. It will probably go on the swaplist soon.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Chromezone #1

I really like this palette and have used it many more times than the one I swapped it for (Perverted Pearl). I love pickle, the first day I wore it with Pink Venus and it looked awesome. Yesterday I wore Gleam on the lid, Mystery in the crease, Brule on the browbone, and Pickle under the eye. Very fun for summer, I think I will get a lot of use out of all the colors.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sushi Flower eyeshadow

I never reached for this until I was scrolling through the reviews and saw the idea to use it as a lid color with Paradisco in the crease. I never even thought of using this as a lid color because it's kind of matte and so bright, but it looks WONDERFUL! I can see this is going to be one I will use a lot during the summer, and it looks awesome with Paradisco, next I will try it with some purple crease colors. Thanks for the rec, now it won't just sit in my palette!
