im not sure if i will buy this again. theres not a whole lot of product for 40 bucks. and the compact is fragile and the powder can break if not handled w/ care. i love no.5 which was a perfect match for my nc35 skin. med- full coverage but no matter how i applied it my nose always appeared shiney. not oily just dry but shiney and i was not satisfied and went searching for something else. *edit i used this for 3wks and had tiny little blackheads on my chin, cheeks, nose, and under my eyes. and i never had them before, ever!
i had to order this from my co worker(avon rep on the side) and took forever to get it. for 8bucks it works as well as my mac blot powder. i can wear this in buff or honey. they both come out translucent and absorbs oil. if u get shiney like me or oily like some people i know u need this. if u r patient i recommend this or if u are like me that likes to touch, try, feel then i'd recommend the mac blot powder for self satisfaction.
medium dark sounds... so medium dark. i am nc 35 and consider myself light-med skin toned but this powder looks light. its translucent and aborbs oil. i apply this after my powder foundation to keep it in place and to use w/o adding more load on my face. i like it so much i got my sister one. a cheaper version would be mark's mattenificent powder. same thing but only 8bucks compared to 20.
after reading about this concealer and supposely this is what celebrities used i got it for 40% off at ulta for friends n family day. i have dark circles and this went out dry, cakey, and pastey. i applied tons of eye cream but it was sucking the life out of my dark circles. althoughti got if for cheap it was still well over 20 bucks so i returned it. even cliniques line smoothing is better. my cheap favorite is almays bright eyes.
i have so many blushes but i am very happy i got this one. soooo pretty peachy pink w/ hint of gold shimmer. when applied it is sheer to medium, the sparkles are not obvious, and it doesn't streak and doesnt need a lot of blending. love it!

awesome eyeshadow colors. there are some in darker and lighter range for blending. these are good everyday work colors. my only complaint is that it can look chalky when over applied and its all shimmery. i would prefer a natural matte texture. too bad theres not a dark purple in it. i wont use the lip glosses but i do like the bronzer, cream liners, brows, and blush. such a great deal for the price.
i got this glamma powder in Allure at the beauty store since my sis in law can get if half off. great price for a powder foundation. unfortunately the powder felt heavy, oily, and turned dark. yuck washed my face after 2 hrs and returned it.
i have combo/oily skin that tend to breakout in little bumps. this powder does not stay matte but gives a nice natural luminous finish. i have to apply a blot powder on top to keep the shiney t zone away. wd2.5 seems light but after a couple of hours looks natural on my nc 35 face but the wd3 looks perfect once applied. if reapplied during the day turns my skin darker due to the oils. overall great powder for sensative skin but no lasting power. i still like it and the blot powder (mac med/dark)works well to keep it in place.

i am buttered tan in edm and nc 35 in mac. sand is a great match for me. the coverage is medium to full and stays put for most of the day. i get a shiney t zone after 5 hrs which only needs touch up w/ my mac blot powder. i wash, tone, then moisturize everyday so there's no flakeys. this is comparable to mac's studio fix but w/o the breakouts. but not as natural looking as lorac's foundation powder.
Lipstick -New York Color - Ultra Last Lipstick in Mousse

i am all about high end makeup but when it comes to lipstick, this is my favorite nude color. i am an nc 35, sand in prescribptives and this lipstick does not wash me out. it looks great w/ different colored gloss applied on top. this is the cheaper verstion of clinique lipstick in creamy nude. same color and also same ingredients. first ingredient in both lipstick is castor seed oil. nyc lipstick also has joboba oil in it that is why it feels like a lip balm. i bought 3 last night at cvs 1.99 and 50% off. i put clinique's in my makeup bag for touch ups and keep the nyc mousse at home bc of the poor top the lipstick would get all over the place. quality is cheap if im not careful i'll nip some of the lipstick off since it doesnt go down all the way.i highly recommend this lipstick!
walgreens had a 40%off sale and i got this for 1.60 and i am very pleased. it lengthens my lashes and adds volume. theres no clumpy mess. you have to build your lashes by applying more. it is a wet mascara kinda like clinique's naturally glossy. this mascara can be compared to diorshow but without the fragrance. flase lashes mascara from prescriptives but without the dryness and flakes. it is better than estee lauder's projectionists. i was using max factor's mascaras but this is cheaper and better. i fell asleep and did not get any racoon eyes. i even cried and didn't have black tears (i didnt buy the waterproof kind). this mascara washes out easily. i do use estee lauder's primer prior to this so my lashes can be conditioned. i have thin ok length flimsy lashes and someone at work asked if i had on falsies.. : D
i am surprised at how such a cheap moisturizer can have such great qualities. i used to use estee lauder's antioxidant oil free moisturizer w/ spf it was pricey and left me looking shiney. Proactiv's oil free spf 15 moisturizer is great but i was looking for something cheaper and i found it! Olay's dried up quick, didn't leave a shine, my face was soft and made my Everyday mineral makeup look great.Pros: cheap, spf 15, doesnt clog pores, not greasy, comes in 4oz 3xmore than my avg dept store brand. Con: Baby Powder fragrance but it goes away. if you have oily or combo skin you must TRY IT! i have converted my sister and cousin and they like it too.fyi: your cheeks may feel tight at first but that goes away after very soon.apply more if needed at those areas.
rice powder is known to absorb oil leaving a matte finish. i was in a hurry at ulta and bought palladio's loose powder in hopes to give me the ideal matte finish. but when i got in the car and read the ingredients i was so disappointed. it contains: calcium carbonate, rice starch, TALC, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, FRAGRANCE,iron oxide. i understand starch needs preservatives but these mimic estrogen and may cause breast cancer. i did a lot of research and decided not to open the powder and just return it. i wouldn't even give it away bc i would feel guilty to give it to anyone else. there are makeup w/ natural preservatives such as tee tree, lavender, vit e.. etc. the ingredients in this product is not all natural.
Concealers -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer

the consistency is like a foundation. but it doesnt last. it settles in between my lines and seems to disappear after 2 hrs. although i used eye cream underneath it i still have some accumulation of small dry patches.

i wanted everything the package said to work .. but of course it didn't. it did not hide my dark circles very well and settled in between my lines and caused very bad itching and swelling underneath my eyes.i guess im not used to the spf. oh and when i applied it on top of my eye cream it dries and little flakes come off when i touched it.. urggh.
