I dunno what rock I was living under years ago not having heard of this product. This is definitely a miracle worker and the best scar reducing oil on the market. I've tried everything so take my word for it. I have two scars that are already disappearing since I've used bio oil on them (one of them on my knee which I've had for years is already diminishing and one on the side of my hip which is already gone). I use bio oil once a day on some scarring I have on my legs, preferably at night as i'm watching something on tv lol. I've seen major improvement in my scars and i'm so so thrilled. I can't remember the last time I wore shorts and I can't wait until the day I'll muster up the courage to do so again. Hopefully bio oil will allow that day to come very soon. Be consistent in the usage of bio oil because that's how results are seen! This is also, to me, cheap ($11 at walmart & you don't need much of it for a single area of skin) so there's almost nothing to lose because maderma is outrageously priced and so are other scar removal creams and such. If you have scars, get this stuff because it's truly amazing.

Gels/Soaps -Chagrin Valley - All Products

I really love the soaps soooooo much! I really liked the smell of the shampoo bars and the concept was great, but it didn't work for me so I was left with two shampoo bars with nothing to do with. I decided that since the only difference between a soap and shampoo bar was the oil content (according to the site), I'd just use the shampoo bars on my body- it was a success! Right now, I'm using the nettle shampoo bar on my face and body and o m g- the two pimples on my forehead that looked as if they were going to become inflamed are now pretty much gone and flattened. My body is left clean without that terrible dry, tight feeling. The packaging for the soap is in little, brown paper baggies so it's pretty earth-friendly. I'll be back at the site pretty soon to repurchase again. The Chagrin Valley soaps are generous in size and can last forever if you care for them properly. Give them a try if you're trying to go green and looking for an affordable way to do so.

Shampoo -Chagrin Valley - Shampoo Bar
rated 4 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 2:17:00 AM

A good, natural soap shampoo of choice. The company is really down-to-earth and is a home based business with great customer service- shipping is speedy. In regards to whether I'd use a shampoo bar again, probably not. My favorite shampoo bar was the Marsh Mallow Babassu and it had this great, earthy scent but it kept leaving a residue behind on my dry hair. I could comb my hair after rinsing the shampoo from it but each time I looked at my comb and felt my hair, it was apparent that there was a build-up of some kind being left behind. I have soft water in my area so it wasn't the water. I would have loved to continue using the shampoo bars, but because of the build-up and eventually the price i'd be inconvenienced so I went back to drugstore shampoo > <; Chagrin Valley isn't deathly expensive, but if you decide you like the shampoo bars and your hair is as thick as mine, you'll see why I speak of price. I had to take the bar through my hair under the shower faucet to get a good lather. My hair's too thick to try to lather up the bar in my hands and deposit the lather to my head- it doesn't work. So you see already that most of the bar will be rinsed away when trying to get a lather going. I think the last bar I used was nearly gone in a week (it was a $6.75 bar with s&h of about $5......I could have bought a pro shampoo at that rate, right?). All in all, this is a nice idea for some and then for others it may not be best and that was the case for me. The rest of my shampoo bars I'll use on my body.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Deep Clean Facial Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 2:01:00 AM

This really works well on my oily skin. It cleans without leaving skin too dried up and sloughs away rough, dead skin to reveal a fresh complexion. No downsides, but recently I switched up my skincare routine to be more natural and it's keeping my skin a bit more under control so this would be my alternative if I had to switch back to using a drugstore face cleanser.

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Replenishing Conditioner for Colored Permed Dry Damaged Hair
rated 5 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 1:48:00 AM

The best conditioner for my dried out hair. It penetrated my hair very deeply because of the jojoba and coconut oils- the MUST have oils for thick and dry hair. I really can't stand that Clairol dropped the original formula to "makeover" their products into a toxic, prissy mess. I wish they'd rethink their decision. The Color Me Happy line is said to be just like this older one, so I'll be buying it to test and see if their claims are true.

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences for Dry/Damaged /Color Treated Hair
rated 5 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 1:38:00 AM

This is the BEST shampoo I've ever used on my hair and I don't know what Clairol has come to in discontinuing this product- they're insane! This cleansed my long, dry hair quite nicely without drying it out any further. The smell is very floral-like and not over-powering or lethal to allergy sufferers. I went out yesterday in my area searching for this and I see many of the local drugstores with the conditioner and a few of them carry the shampoo, but I know if I go all out and purchase their last supply, that's it! I got just the conditioner and shampoo the other evening at rite aid and it ran me about $10! Kinda expensive when considering the other HE products had more in their container for less. Now, to keep from going out of the way, I'm using garnier which isn't a bad substitute, but nothing is as good. They say that the Color Me Happy line is exactly like this one, but I doubt it. It has no beneficial oils whatsoever and according to the conditioning spectrum on the HE website, Color Me Happy is even lower in conditioning content than Long Term Relationship and Hello Hydration- both of which drained my hair of moisture to begin with. I'm really missing this stuff ;~~;

Conditioner -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
rated 4 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 1:23:00 AM

Very nice conditioner and smells beautiful. It's a shame that the shampoo didn't work just as well on my thick and dried out hair. You'll definitely be needing the conditioner along with the shampoo if you decide to try this line. Also, I'm not so sure if it does all that wonderful protecting of damage and split-ends that it says it does. I didn't notice a difference in my hair's condition with use of this product.

This is a very drying shampoo! Take this from someone with long and thick hair that's dry to begin with. It smells wonderful like all HE products do, but don't let the scent entice you. It left my hair a frizz-fest. I really miss the old herbal essences from back in the '90's.

Shampoo -Garnier - Triple Nutrition
rated 5 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 1:10:00 AM

It's kind of an obstacle opening the bottle to get to the product, but once you do, your hair will be totally transformed. This is one of the best drugstore moisturizing shampoos i've come across. It's a bargain, too- got it for about $3 at walmart yesterday. I lathered up twice with this and my hair was not stripped at all. Very impressive. The scent, like the conditioner that goes with this, is lighter than the other garnier haircare products so if you have allergies this is a nice pick. Great for chemically treated, thick hair (like I have)! This shampoo works quite similarly to that of the sleek and shine shampoo- well, for me anyway. This just leaves your hair with more softness because of the many oils it has.

Conditioner -Garnier - Triple Nutrition Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
obsess1beauty 10/3/2009 12:49:00 AM

I have long, thick, wavy, chemically-treated hair and this worked mediocre. I have to use a few globs to try and saturate my hair thoroughly. It's cone-free (this is probably why I experienced issues) and the smell is also light so it's something I can live with- it's pretty cheap too (got it at walmart for just short of $3). Like most of the other garnier conditioners, this stuff has a very light consistency which is good for those of you with oily tresses. It also has that signature garnier scent, which I love but it's pretty subtle for this particular kind so if you don't like strong scents, give this a shot. If your hair is anything like mine, I'd try not to go crazy on this brand because the shampoos are awesome but for some reason, the conditioner makes your hair feel dried out and it's difficult to comb through. I won't get this again just for that fact.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
obsess1beauty 7/23/2008 11:20:00 PM

I like this shampoo! It has that nice scent that most tresemme hair products have and it does what it says. I'd just go for a conditioner with this also because once you're done rinsing this out, your hair may seem a little clarified in a way; maybe that's because the shampoo is clear? o.O

Shampoo -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Normal to Fine Hair
rated 3 of 5
obsess1beauty 7/23/2008 11:16:00 PM

This is a nice moisturizing shampoo (I have the one for dry/damaged hair) and it leaves a nice scent along with manageable hair; this is nice for african american hair, as I'm african american myself. I rated a little mediocre because L'oreal tests on animals :( !

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask

obsess1beauty 7/21/2008 12:57:00 AM

LOL! I was so confused when i saw this! xDDD I was like "asprin mask....? Where do I find that o.O" Anyways, yea I do this with ibuprofin! I only spot treat though and at night if I walk around with this on, I swear everyone thinks I'm insane but believe me it WORKS! This is by far the best thing you can do to get rid of a pestering pimple or two....or maybe more! The trick to this is not to add a bunch of water [it thickens as it stands]. Just crush the tablet on a clean counter or on top of paper with a flat object [such as the end of a knief] and then put a few dashes of water in your palm along with the crushed pill and stir away until it transforms into a creamy consistency....then apply away! I'd recommend to leave it on overnight for maximum results :] !

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
rated 4 of 5
obsess1beauty 7/21/2008 12:46:00 AM

I recieve samples from DHC monthly and almost every catalog I get has some of this oil in it for me to try. I like it because it's moisturizing and sweeps make-up off in an instant, but I find some of DHC care to be for more mature skin (like this product) so that's why I knocked off a star or two. Their facial cleansers for normal skin are nice and gentle for all skin types though!

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
rated 5 of 5
obsess1beauty 7/21/2008 12:39:00 AM

omg!!! If you have a medium or small pimple that has just appeared and you need it gone within 24hrs, this is the way to go. This stuff does have a tingling sensation when applied to fresh skin so be wary of that and the fact that it smells like wine....other than that, it's a miracle in a tube! xD It got rid of those pimples on my cheeks that I get on occassion that cause some light scarring so it has me spellbound!
