Highlighters -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega pump shimmer St. Tropez [DISCONTINUED]
oasdus 2/3/2008 2:53:00 PM
I had heard good things about this so picked it up at a WnW 99 cent sale. It has a pinky, crystalline shine to it when used straight. I use it by mixing it with my foundation, for a bit of extra moisture and a nice glow, without looking pink. I love the scent of this. Sometimes the pump dispenses more than I would like. I think this product has been compared to MAC strobe cream. Will repurchase.

Bath Treatments -Burt's Bees - Apricot baby oil
oasdus 1/30/2008 10:37:00 PM
The only way I use this is pouring some into the bathwater. I use it with other oils or bath products usually, such as bath beads or salts. It smells great and helps keep my skin baby soft in the cold weather.

Lip Gloss -Sally Girl - Curfew
oasdus 1/30/2008 9:49:00 PM
On me, Curfew is a perfect MLBB, and not dark nor sheer but is almost fool-proof to apply. Depending on the light it can be rosy-peachy or taupe-y and makes my small, thin lips look soft and luscious, fuller. Taste is a bit like cocoa at first, and now I don't taste it much. Feels comfy on lips. I love small sizes of makeup like this, because it usually takes me a long time to use anything up, so this goes quicker. And it takes up very little room and is just cute. I can afford to try many shades and play around. I will definitely be picking up more of this lipstick.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes - Fine Wink [DISCONTINUED]
oasdus 1/29/2008 8:31:00 PM
Fine Wink has helped me finally come into the world of eye shadow with confidence. I am wearing an eye shadow look that actually looks like someone with skill applied it, yet it's the most simple thing. I use Champagne Toast (WnW cream e/s) all over first, from lashes to eyebrows. Then I use a slanted brush to apply Fine Wink on the lid and into the crease. I kind of bring it up at a slant on the outer corners of my eyes, then blend everything with a rounded tip brush. I use a black eyeliner with a heavy hand, and my brown/black Neutrogena Healthy Volume mascara. Fine Wink picks up on my brush very smoothly and isn't chalky. It's pigmented. I could wear this everyday and know it looked great. A friend complemented and was surprised it was WnW. This will be my "go to" look.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Advanced Hydration Hydrating Facial Spray
oasdus 1/27/2008 2:11:00 AM
I had been feeling dry when I put my makeup on, and would spritz water on my face, but of course, when it dries you are still dry! So I wanted something I could spray on that had some moisture. I am so glad I saw this at Walmart. It is a pleasure to use. I like how it comes out in a fine, soft, cooling mist. Occasionally, it will squirt too much in one spot, so I start at my neck to get the flow of mist going right. It sets makeup and has the faintest, pleasant smell. Will always repurchase as long as they make this. Was about $5 at Walmart.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Fruit Smoothies SPF 15
oasdus 1/25/2008 10:44:00 AM
I got this as a sample .10 oz. tube with some Stridex pads. This doesn't go on easily, it doesn't make my lips feel good and moisturized, and it wears off easily. Definitely not going to purchase this.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Exfoliage Facial Brush
oasdus 1/25/2008 9:20:00 AM
I found this at a local drugstore (not a big chain) and I use it nightly after my cleanser, while my skin is still wet. It is soft on the face, not stiff at all, and though it may feel like it's not doing anything, I can see little flecks of dead skin come off while I'm using it. I don't linger too long on any one place except where I have scars. Pressing too hard and for too long in one spot, could cause irritation and breakout, so don't be overzealous. After I use it, I rinse it in hot water and set it out to dry. Then I rinse my face and go on with my routine. My skin is so smooth now, sometimes I just touch it and can't believe it. And this brush is just about $2. It's cheap enough to replace regularly and you can choose from several colors. It comes with a cap to protect the bristles when you travel. I remember when I was a kid and getting acne, my Mom came home with a box full of skin care and makeup she'd ordered from someone at work. Inside there were a couple little facial brushes and I had never heard of such a thing. I used it on my face and remember how much better my skin started looking with nightly use. But over the years, never kept it up for some reason. Now I'm back to using one and don't plan to stop.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Ice Cubes
oasdus 1/24/2008 5:59:00 PM
Haha, I wondered if anyone had ever reviewed ice, as in applying ice to the face. You know that nice look and feel your skin has when you come in out of the cold? Sometimes I "ice my face" after cleansing and before applying products. I have to keep the ice moving on the skin, or else it's too much cold, and would harm the skin. I don't want frostbite! It seems to make my face look and feel awesome when I apply my products.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ulric de Varens - UDV pour elle
oasdus 1/23/2008 9:55:00 PM
Oh wow, this smells FABULOUS on me!! :) It sort of reminds me of Lucky You, but this doesn't have anymore staying power than that one, so I took a lippie off. I have the purplish colored bottle, which is so cute as it's shaped like a purse with a handle. There were two other colors/scents from this brand in the purse shapes, but I had eyes (and nose) for nothing but this one. I had been sampling it in Rite-Aid from the tiny display, and tonight I went ahead with the purchase. It was about $10 for 1 oz. Definitely worth it in my opinion, and I will probably buy up the rest and sample the other two scents.

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - perfection
oasdus 1/23/2008 9:45:00 PM
This review is for Walgreen's Perfection Jumbo Domed & Angle Eye Shadow Brush. I love this brush! I didn't want to spend the money for high end brushes, but I have had cheapie drugstore brushes that were horrible. Tired of using my fingers, I found this brush at Walgreens which had exactly the brushes I was looking for, one on each end! You get two brushes here! They are perfect, as the name says. I use the angled end for applying all my eyeshadow and the rounded dome end for smudging. The brushes feel soft and good on the skin, but apply and blend shadow perfectly. I will buy other Walgreen brushes. I am so happy I got what I needed without costing much.

Treatments -Lumene - Vitamin C+ Energy Cocktail Intensive Care
oasdus 1/23/2008 4:45:00 PM
This sinks right into my skin and gives a nice glow. Softens and has a very light, pleasant fragrance that disappears. I like the way the oil and liquids separate and when shaken, turn to orange juice color. I know it's gimmicky, but it's very pretty. Worn under moisturizer, this seems to give my skin a radiant boost. BTW, I think you can read more reviews for this under the "pampering drops." I don't know if Lumene is keeping both products, or phasing out the pampering drops for this new version.

Lips -Wet 'n' Wild - Jumbo Juicy Flavored Lip Balm in Red Raspberry
oasdus 1/22/2008 8:59:00 PM
Nice flavor. I got this on a Rite Aid 99 cent WnW sale :) It makes my lips feel moisturized and smooth. I also like the slight color it deposits and shine. I am going to buy more of these in different flavors while they are still on sale.

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - True Blue Spa-Miraculous Monoi
oasdus 1/21/2008 11:56:00 PM
B&BW regular lotions don't do much for me, apart from some of the wonderful scents. I saw this today in the clearance bin and sprayed some on my hand. It intrigued me because it was full of natural oils, and was a product with multiple uses (for skin & hair). The scent is tropical. I used this all over after my shower, even in my hair, and I feel soft, comfy and nice smelling. Just what I need this time of year! My only complaints would be how it doesn't come out as a fine mist, rather just sprays a blob on your skin. It can be hard to hold onto when your hands get oily. I sprayed it on while standing in the shower after toweling off. Next time I won't even towel off that much, it seems to spread best with more water on the skin. This is quite a concentrated product, so add your own water to your skin. I honestly doubt I would have bought this if I first saw it at full price, but I am considering going back to stock up while they are at this great reduced price. Oh, this made my hair soooo soft when it dried! UPDATE: The main way I use this now is pour a bit in bath water. Smells nice and leaves skin soft.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - MegaEyes Creme Eyeshadow - #196 Champagne Toast
oasdus 1/21/2008 11:45:00 PM
It seems to make a nice primer for other shadow. I often apply this from lash line to brows and then apply my other shadow on it, leaving this peeking out under the brow bone as highlight. Has tiny sparkles. Definitely going to continue using.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
oasdus 1/21/2008 11:43:00 PM
Oh dear... this was a nightmare to get off my skin! I liked the stiff brush to apply, but once it dries, it's on til the next ice age. :( It took putting oil on dry skin, using Q-tips, washing twice, oil, wash again, to get it off and there were still tiny flecks. I am just going to use the regular liquid liner.
