Concealers -Becca - Concealer compact

This is a nice concealer though it should not be used under the eyes if you have fine lines or wrinkles! I have biscuit and cashew which I mix together to get approximately the right colour, tahini would be much better. This stuff works but its a thick wax so can't be good for your skin!

Lipstick -Becca - Sheer Tint Lip Colour

I bought these lipsticks half price and I'm happy with them. Vendela is a natural daytime lip colour, slightly more of a terracotta undertone than you will often find in other MLBB lipsticks but its quite pretty really and the texture, almost sheer is lovely. Milla is the other colour I bought and I think it is beautiful. It looks dark in the tube but because its sheer its just a step up from a my lips but better look. Really nice on me. Not so keen on the caramel flavour but the packaging is really nice solid stuff. Great texture but you need to reapply because it doesn't last.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere

I wear the chanel nude or limpide which is similar to prescriptives fresh vellum sisley ivory or kenebo 102 soft ivory. This is a satiny foundation for women with decent skin. This stuff did break me out in the end and doesn't cover imperfections. Pretty but will not buy this one again.

Palettes -By Terry - Glow Necessity Palette

I love the lipgloss in this compact. Its just ravishing. However, I don't find the eyeshadows work for me. They are too harsh in colour and make me look sick. Though their consistency is nice its not spectacular, my cle de peau eyeshadow is nicer quality and the colours are more human and harmonious. The other thing is that though I am a sucker for expensive high quality make up the prices of By Terry are just silly. I feel like I've been fleeced. There may be some products that are so special you could justify the cost but eyeshadow is just talc and mica.. If her concealer lasts a long time I will continue to buy that but nothing else--it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth with prices like these.

Eyeliner -Becca - Eye liner Compact in Barbarella

I am smitten with Becca products. I got this reasonably from ebay and love it. Love the little compact and the water resistant sauce you can paint on top. Its a joy to use. You can get the line as fine or wide as you want using a good brush. I have just bought the bobby brown gel eyeliner and I do actually prefer this becca cake liner. Horses for courses I guess.

Blush -Becca - Malika Powder Blush

I absolutely love this blush. I'm a brunette with pale yellowish/neutral skin and it works perfectly on me (Chanel nude/Prescriptives fresh vellum/Sisley ivory/kanebo pale ivory). Soft apricot peach with a little shimmer. Not scary just a suble flush. Unlike lots of MUA's on here I adore Becca's packaging. Its really solid you know? It feels lux, snaps closed neatly etc. I think this is one of the reasons I really do prefer the upmarket brands, they make cosmetics fun rather than grungy and that makes me happier!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Abdul Kareem - Egyptian Musk
rated 3 of 5

Clean smelling musk, not unlike a musky washing powder. Does not last or have even very much smell from the get go. In terms of fragrance punch for your buck this is actually pretty expensive. Think twice.

Eye Shadow -Cle de Peau - Eye Quad 18 "Mystic Tundra"
rated 5 of 5

I am still giving this product 5 stars because I can't use all the colours but it has really grown on me. The main neutral colour *does* suit my eyes and is subtle and not garish. In contrast to what I originally wrote I don't think you could get the same result from cheaper brands. It settles nicely on the skin provides irredescence and is just finer and prettier than most other options. Yes, it is expensive but you are paying for sophisticated colour selection, nice product and excellent packaging. The quad is just darling and the compact is solid, navy and sleek! I would buy it again in one of the more pale neutral options.

Conditioner -Aveda - Annato Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

This is quite a cool product, it really does turn your hair auburn in 5 or so minutes.. Natural, classy and quite subtle colour. My hair is naturally a medium brown with some orangey highlights (I had a red grandmother) so people have often suggested I make my hair auburn. I have quite fragile hair so don't like to dye and wasn't sure what it would look like. I experiemented with Henna which made my hair a horrible orange brown that was really bad with my skin. Got rid of this with Aveda clove which made my hair a less brassy red brown. After all of that washed out I tried this which is lovely. But you know what? The best colour against my skin and eyes etc is still my natural one.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Louise Galvin Sacred Locks Mask for Fine Hair
rated 2 of 5
noinoi 4/4/2009 12:16:00 PM

This is an absurdly expensive treatment and it doesn't really work. Not if you have quite dry hair as I do. Does give hair body and fluffyness but as I have this in spades already it was not what my hair needed. I have fine hair but it is thin wirey and fluffy--no good.

Styling Products -Leonor Greyl - Natural Brilliance Daytime Creme for Hair
rated 3 of 5
noinoi 4/4/2009 12:10:00 PM

Don't bother with this. It really doesn't do much and it costs a lot! After using it for quite some time I can tell you it does not improve the condition of the hair or add moisture. Better off with coconut oil. What will it do? Shine- yes, some. Brilliance-not really.. Styling assistance-yes, somewhat it will help hair stay in place. Frizz-yes, somewhat, Moisture-no Fragrance-yes, it has rather a lovely sexy smell. Will not weigh hair down which is a plus.

Hair -Leonor Greyl - Bain Restructurant a la Banane
rated 5 of 5
noinoi 4/4/2009 12:08:00 PM

Changed my rating as my mother absolutely loves this shampoo. She uses a really small amount and loves the consistency and smell. I wasn't so keen but have different kind of hair. Hers is shiny fine and somewhat oily! She would buy it again. My views are below, I have really dry wavy hair. This product has a banana smell and it is yellow and medium thin in consistency. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Does a good job of washing the hair and produces a lot of body and a little shine. Very expensive. Do like the packaging though.
