Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Bronzer Princess
mzlovely 11/19/2011 4:46:00 AM
Bought this a year ago. Loved it. Never knew the magic of bronzers till I saw a youtube vid of bronzers and how pretty it made this one girls face look and decided to buy one. This lasted me a year and I haven't had any reason to try any other bronzer. Just for your info I am Buff in Revlon Colorstay, so prob a NC15 in mac (just a guess never tried it) but I'm pretty light skinned. I mean it's long lasting, never had a problem with it staying on my face. It doesn't have some huge shimmer orgy problem. It's pretty matte. Also it doesn't have some orange tone to it that I have heard other people complain in other bronzers. No oumpa lumpa here. And it is cheap! Just bought my second one, that will prob last me... Another year:) O BTW, I dunno who the hell wears "Goddess" another bronzer Wet n Wild offers, it is noticeably orange toned. I mean I could literally see the orange in it. Maybe it was just good lighting in the store, but I compared these two just out of curiosity and big difference.
Lotions/ Creams -Bodycology - Sweet Petals Hand & Body Lotion
mzlovely 11/16/2011 4:51:00 AM
First off a dupe for Sweet Pea in Bath & Body works, and quality just as good if not BETTER. I mean considering it has shea butter, aloe vera, and vitamins E & C. I used this 12oz bottle for 5 months till I ran out, every day and or every other day. I love love love it. I have had my coworkers compliment me, my significant other, my friends and family... I just love when someone says "oh you smell so good". I'm on my second bottle right now. Too bad they don't offer a body mist with this, or maybe they do?!:D I should check their online website and look into that... I'd suggest to look for this lotion at Kmart. I got it there for 3.19$ when I first bought it, couldn't find it there and just got it at Target for 4.19$. I tried all the other scents that the Bodycology offers, but they all smell too strong or just plain terrible to me. This is the only jewel they have in their line as of now. You would think Cherry Blossom would smell nice but oh, it smells awful. It smells like old cheap perfume grandma wears on her night out to bingo. No joke. Love this lotion. And i'm not a lover of many, but very few like one to two. Lol. Maybe three considering I just bought the bombshell VS lotion and it's just magical stuff.
Gels/Soaps -Dove - Go Fresh Revive Body Wash in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena
mzlovely 11/12/2011 6:47:00 AM
Ohhhh Dove, how I love you. I love your deodarants! I love your oil care conditoner which has become an HG for me! I love your other cucumber body wash! And this is my new love. For my body wash. I remember when the doctors told me specifically DO NOT USE SCENTED BODY WASHES, PLAIN SOAP! YES ONLY PLAIN SOAP! NO BODY ALLERGIC REACTIONS WITH PLAIN SOAP! YOU! YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN! PLAIN SOAP, ONLY! Ya ya docs... I thought as I snuck the Go Fresh Cucumber Body wash in my shopping cart hoping it wouldn't be another full body allergic reaction and/or itchy skin as I had to scented body soaps... I stuck with it for about 5 months or so Id say and didn't have no allergic reaction, I thought I was pressing my luck with buying this one, even more stronger scented however my skin is left unharmed(: I can always trust dove, in everything they provide, I have not yet been dissapointed in their products, with anything! This soap provides me with a fresh clean feeling and my skin is very MOISTURIZED after showering with it. I love the scent also but I cannot say it stays after the shower for too long. I should maybe buy the after body mist spray with it to see it if it will help with the scent staying:) A little pricy, but well worth it. In all moisturizes my sensitive skin with a lovely scent and doesn't over dry it nor does it leave any sticky or left over residue feeling..
This product is genius! The sponge applicator is the best thing about this product. Using my fingers would only fade the concealer and not really blend it out like I wanted it to. The sponge applicator paired with the product inside makes this concealer the best DS concealer Ive tried. It's not too moisturzing nor too overly drying. I was slowly giving up hope in finding a good concealer after trying an almost 13$ concealer from Revlon and only to find the coverage fading within 10 mins and creasing within 5 or less actually. I shrugged at the thought of having to try a highend concealer after being so dissapointed in many DS ones, because I thought for a sec I'd have to... Although as my last desperate attempt I saw the ad for this on TV and did the whole why the hell not thing and wow... I'm so glad I did! I adore this concealer. I love putting it on during my makeup routine, the applicator makes it simple & easy and I love to watch with each *click* my dark circles just fade away and my redness on my eyelids as well. I light handed dust left over face powder from my kabuki brush on my eyelids to set as a primer & not to crease. As for the under eye area it is not too moisturizing (no creasing) and not too overly drying (no cakeyness or flakes). It has a very impressive balance of both which I thought I'd never find in a DS brand. I really cannot understand who wouldn't like this. It is great stuff, really. Try it, try it, try it. Cannot recommend this enuff folks. About to buy my 2nd little tube! Cons: 1 con, you must be CAREFUL on how many clicks you click it for, starting off I was clicking this thing like a hundered times and was being very impatient but burned by own flame I was! The product took its time alright to come out and when it did, there was way too much... It just takes time for it to purge out I guess. I only click it now 3 to 4 times and it does the trick, but you must be patient with this thing.
Many benefits to this cleanser. One, it is cheap I got mine around 2.45ish$. Second of all it's natural a big PLUS in my book and to my sensitive acne skin. Third of all it's gentle and takes off my makeup fairly well. What had interest me most we're acne victims raving on here about how this started clearing up there skin, yet I've seen no major OMG progress. My acne is still regular, still have pimples. Could possibly be because I don't use it alone? I wouldn't think it would be enough but it is apart of my skin routine after a long day. One silly mistake I made, I thought since it was natural it wouldn't burn my eyes, so i started to rub some around my eye to take off my eyeliner and mascara .... And irritation on right eye! Not a burning sensation but my right eye was irritated and got red... It was normal the next morning however. Just don't use it near you eyes, if you're thinking like I was , b/c it was natural it was "safe". Lol Overall wouldn't mind buying this again at all. Scent doesn't bother me, even though I agree that it sorta smells like dirt.
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Continuous Control Acne Cleaner
mzlovely 10/20/2011 3:26:00 AM
Another fail cleanser I had recently purchased. This contributed to my acne worsening and irritating the hell out of my face, although not as bad as the other cleanser I had tried out after this 1 but still too harsh for my skin. The percentage amount of benzoyl peroxide they have in this product if not skin life threatning but definitely dangerous. I can't imagine anyone with the least bit sensitive skin trying this and not stepping into a doctors office the next day. I don't have sensitive skin at all but this still was way too strong... Still trying to find the damn receipt so I can take this back.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser
mzlovely 10/20/2011 3:19:00 AM
As for me this is probably one of the most harsh cleansers Ive ever tried. This had my face soooo irritated it gave me a burning swelling painful sensation , however luckily my face appeared to be normal yet it felt terrible. I tried putting up with it thought maybe my skin could get a bit prone to it but nope. Even after I stopped using this for 2 days my face still felt really sensitive to the touch, it hurt. I felt this also contributed to my acne worsening. Ultimately the worse face wash i've tried and won't buy again. Ive gone back to what I now know is my HG cleanser, because it doesn't do what these other acne cleansers do (irritate my skin) and my skin is already clearing up effortlessly.
I shoulda known this was a terrible idea for an under eye concealer, but because Emily on youtube said it worked real well, and because I heard a lot of people liked it and because it was on sale, I decided to try it, lol. However I shoulda just stuck to common sense, this is basically a thick creamy foundation on a stick, thick screams CREASES CREASES CREASES! Aaand yep, that's all it pretty much did. If you can get this sucker to stay i'm sure it would work great, but because it's so thick and doesn't really dry it pretty much creases beyond reason and doesn't hold the coverage under the eye area b/c it fades. I haven't used it as a concealer for my prob areas b/c I use a different product for that, that I like. Just searching for an under eye one. I've already taken this product back to store after 3 full day uses.
Yet again another phony product...Boy did these damn late night commercials really suck me in at one point! This stuff is crappy, within an hour I already had itchyness. After a day I broke out from it. This covered NOTHING whatsoever, just gave me a really bad skin discoloration like I had the most sheer cakey makeup on... I can't describe it too well, but it looked terrible. Positive side, I got my money back from it although with hassle over the phone from a lady who couldn't seem to believe it wasn't what I was looking for, god was she a pain in the ass.
Phony commercials, phony ads, phony product. This is just as phony as Bare Minerals, which I will get to reviewing in a sec... Just as the other 2k ppl, these people with their "hope" of "it works", really sucked me in. Bastards. I remember mentioning beforehand using this, to a dermatologist (which I was seeing at the time for a whole another skin condition and not my face) about it working and she laughed saying it didn't work out for any of her clients who had tried it. Still, I took the jump, that's just how kniving these bastards were with their damn commercials. Anywho three packages later (3months later) I still had acne, even new worse acne, but oh no these people said "expect purging" oh yeah the purging stages such bologna. This was no good for my skin. It had got worse and my hope went down the drain as my skin did. So for only 3 months I used this and then was done. CONCLUSION: EXPENSIVE CHEAP PRODUCT! oh btw this was like 2 years ago when I tried this. I can't believe I hadn't done a review about it..till now.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
mzlovely 10/16/2011 3:06:00 AM
After being married to the Wet N Wild Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Black for 5 years I have to say, I did take it for granted and searched for another partner... But boy you don't know what you got till it's gone! Lmao Seriously, this is NOTHING compared to my W&W MegaLiner liquid eyeliner. This looks terrible on my eyes, I have it in BLACKEST BLACK and its definitely not that color, it dries to a dullish black/dead black. It applies very tacky, it dries before im done applying the wing which leaves me dippin for more over and over. The applicator is hard to work with. The finish is nothing nearly as good as W&WMLE. Horrible. Not to mention the dramatic price whopping at nearly 9$. D: Where as my w&w liner is only like 2-3$. Before I return it back to K-mart i'm going to give it another shot.
I did really like this mascara at first. However the older this gets the duller it really becomes. Maybe I need a new tube already? Ive had it for arounnndddd 5 months lol that isn't too long. This does sepearate your lashes very well but it does nothing for length which I'm a fanatic of. Hence i'm a big fan of the lash stiletto. So that says a lot about how I like my lashes to be. I prefer length over volume. It may look great at the very start of the day when you put this on but it starts to get dull as the day goes on... I can't really describe it, my eyelashes just look so dried and lifeless after a day of this stuff. Like I said it could be the fact I've had it so long, who knows, but this how it's turned out for me. i wanna give it a 2 and a half.
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
mzlovely 10/16/2011 2:35:00 AM
It's a real pain to take off my makeup with this cleanser. I purcahsed this in hope, simple might be "better" for my acne skin but it wasn't. My acne was the same and also got new pimples. I wouldn't say from this at all but just from the fact I have acne skin and apparently if im not using anything effective against it, they just continue to do their own thing. Ruin my beautiful face. I rate this a 2, it's not horrible considering it doesn't irritate the face but it doesn't even take off my makeup.
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Renpure Organics Amazing Miracle
mzlovely 10/14/2011 6:10:00 AM
Ive used up the whole bottle and... Why this stands Likeable in my Book: 1.) its natural completely 100% organic extracts 2.) no sulfates, parabens, colors, dyes 3.) Does a considerably good job of "conditioning" my hair, it really does moisturize it. 4.) Leaves your hair smelling AMAZING! My Story/ Review: Ive tried this when I had damaged hair and I use it now. I have cut all my damaged hair off and have as close to healthy hair as I will ever get. I didn't like this during the time I had damaged hair, and honeslty I wasn't satisfied with any product. So if you have damaged hair and were like me dissapointed... Well here's a little something, wake up and smell the coffee sweetness, you have DAMAGED hair & i'm sorry to break the news to you but it just can't be undone. It can be "appear" to be healthy but nothing is going undo it unless you cut it all off. In my ignorance I got annoyed with probably myself and the useless products I tried countless times finding a "miracle" in. So I went to the salon told the lady I was ready to cut off all my damaged hair, went to about almost waist hair length to shoulder length hair in a matter of 5 mins lol. It was worth it though, now my hair is sooo much healthier. My hair is naturally dry though, so when it does start to feel dry, I use this stuff about once a week and it is baby soft. My hair really soaks up the moisture. Great hair mask product. I have already bought another 1. How I Use It: (I find works best for the best results) I start off with dry hair because I didn't like the "wet hair in the shower" results, and so I damp all the pieces of my hair with water. I just damp it, and I don't soak it. That way my hair can still take in the moisturizing effects of this product instead of it being wasted in water. For each sections of my hair I go through, I apply a quarter size amount of product. I leave it on for about an hour and then rinse off with COLD water. My hair is so soft the next day and I love it. Those of you Interested in Purchasing!: For any of you interested in it, right now where I live maybe where you live too they are having a fab sale going on buy one of their RenPure products and get any other Renpure product for free. I got their moisturizing shampoo and another one of these. (=
One day at Target I thought to myself while browsing the nail polish section , I should get an expensive nail polish, I deserve it and I need it. Considering i'm always buying cheap nail polishes that always chip and doesn't really work well with my current job considering I do a lot of hands on work... I bought this at 5.96 about 6 dollars and thought yep won't have any chipping for at least a weeek. Lmao I was wrong. This is no better than a 99 cent nail polish. It chips just as harsh and easily as a cheaper nail polish. The only positive about this nail polish was the brush applicator that made it super easy to apply, but that wasn't what I was looking for plus you should get more than that for a 6 dollar nail polish are you kidding me? I thought Sally Hansen was a high end brand for nail polishes but NO. I'm taking this back tomorrow at Target. Piece of cr*p.
