Gels/Soaps -Avon - Shower gel in blackberry/vanilla
rated 3 of 5

This isn't on of their best scents but it's not terrible either. I prefer the Cucumber Melon or Peach or Apple Honeysuckle. But I bought a whole whack of these when they were on sale in different scents and for the price you can't go wrong. They also make good little stocking stuffers.

Gels/Soaps -Avon - Naturals Shower Gel Peach
rated 4 of 5

These hangy bottles are really great, and they are so cheap when they come on sale. This particular one boasts a juicy natural peach scent and lathers well. My DD prefers these to soap and I like them as they don't leave a bathtub ring.

Gels/Soaps -Avon - NATURALS Apple and Honeysuckle Refreshing Shower Gel
rated 5 of 5

Lovely yummy-smelling product. Just wish the bottle was bigger as my DD goes through a ton of this stuff. These shower gels have great packaging and you can get them so cheap when they come on sale. Too bad, I hear the Apple and Honeysuckle is being discontinued? For quality and price, this scores a '5'.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Exquisite Juicy Tubes
rated 4 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:37:00 AM

I bought this because I was looking for a more vibrant pink to go with my silver hair and pale skin than my usual Simmer and a shade lighter than Honey Violet. There is enough colour here that I don't have to layer this over lipstick. Even though in the tube it looks scary, it is actually a very wearable shade. I took a lippie off for the weird scent, which is supposed to be some kind of berry but I find absolutely artificial and revolting.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal Lipstick- Crystal Pink
rated 4 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:33:00 AM

This is a very pretty shade of pale pink, perhaps a little too pale for me to wear on it's own, if I am going out I like top it with a darker pink or plum gloss for more colour. But it is glossy, shiny and moisturizing enough to wear on it's own. Because it is a soft lippy, be careful, it will melt away in a hot car or purse. These lipsticks are also prone to breakage but I still love them.

Lip Gloss -Estee Lauder - High Gloss - Rose
rated 4 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:28:00 AM

On it's own, it does not pack much of a punch, but on top of a pink or plum lipstick, it is fantastic! I love the copper flecks in a pink gloss, it surprisingly works well with my cool colouring. The plastic slant tip applicator works well; I was also impressed that this lasted nearly as long as Juicy Tubes. Got this as a GWP and very satisfied as generally my GWP's get tossed to friends. This is a keeper.

Lipstick -Prescriptives - Lipstick- Rose Mystique 06
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:25:00 AM

This little gem was sent to me by my dear friend MRSLE. Though on first inspection, I would have guessed this to be a 'warm' browny pink, it actually works very well with my cool colouring, brown hair, blue eyes. A nice natural shade, feels lightweight, long wearing. I like that I can wear this as is, or top with one of my favorite glosses to punch it up a bit.

Fragrances -Fragonard - Diamant
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:17:00 AM

"Diamant is an opulent floral fragrance beginning with an unusual , fresh wave of mandarin, orange and pepper. Rose, jasmine and plum are in heart just above sweet base made of patchouli, vanilla, musk and caramel. This is an original combination of refreshing and sweet oriental notes." - taken from fragrantica.com This was not the perfume I had in mind to purchase on my tour of the Fragonard factory in Eze, rather Diamant chose me and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It is a pure perfume and a very small spritz lasts all day on me. My 60 ml aluminum bottle will last forever. Speaking of the container, I know the aluminum cannister is unbreakable, portable and protects the contents, however, it looks very cheap sitting on my dressing table - if I had a glass bottle option I would definitely opt for that. I find the drydown very similar to my other favorite, Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. Some people say this is a cross between Coco M and Angel, since I have not tried the Angel I cannot say....

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Gehwol Fusskraft Mint
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 10:06:00 AM

This is the product I reach for after walking or in hot summer weather. It immediately cools, refreshes and soothes my poor sore feet. The aroma is fantastic, derived from essential oils of rosemary, pine, and mint. and it is fast absorbing, Gehwol makes serious foot care products - now I wouldn't even waste my time with drug store imitators. Take good care of your feet with these products - it's difficult to be happy if your feet aren't!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Gehwol- Extra Foot Cream
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/22/2009 8:34:00 AM

The reviews below say it all. This is a thick but fairly easily absorbed cream that as the website says intensively cares and strengthens overstraind feet. The skin of the feet is deodorised and disinfected. Universal foot cream with broad-spectrum efficacy. For daily intensive care. Protects against sore feet, athlete's foot, foot odour, calluses, sores and blisters, and makes dry and rough skin smooth. Natural Gehwol Extra oils from eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, and thyme revitalise your feet and increase their performance. Gehwol Foot Cream Extra stimulates the circulation and protects against cold and wet feet. My daughter is able to Gehwol products from a beauty supply store as she is a licenced stylist. Lucky me.

Fragrances -Fragonard - Fleur d Oranger
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/21/2009 9:02:00 PM

I have test driven many Fleurs d'Orangers, but prefer this up and beyond to any others. Main notes of this composition are: orange blossom, bergamot, mandarin, jasmine, honey and musk. I purchased this whilst in France at the Fragonard factory in Eze. My only gripe is the cap was poorly fastened resulting in a small leak. Otherwise, the bottle and packaging is very pretty. Staying power is medium, typical for this type of product. Would repurchase.

Cleansers -Decleor - Cleansing Milk
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 10/21/2009 8:56:00 PM

I have been using this product on and off for about eight weeks, purchased solely on the high ratings here on MUA. I have 50+ combo, acneic dehydrated skin with aging issues as well so I need a product that will not break me out or dry me out. Good fortune allowed me to find a 400 ml bottle for the price of 200, the bottle is sturdy and I like the fact that there is a flip cap with a tiny hole that does not dispense too much product. You really only need the size of a quarter, I like to apply this to dry face, tissue off and repeat. I finish with a heavy spritzing of thermal water and blot with a towel to remove any residue. The scent is lovely, I normally have issues with botanicals but so far so good. EDIT April 2/10 I have been using this six months now and the bottle is nearly gone. Still loving it as much as ever. This has been a bad winter with my menopausal skin issues and Decleor passed with flying colours. No irritation - no breakouts - it just does what it needs to do and makes it a pleasant experience. Will repurchase.

Moisturizers -Decleor - Aromessence Iris Night Balm
rated 4 of 5
moorkitty 9/1/2009 1:25:00 PM

I have been using this product for only one week, so it is probably too soon to make any real claims, but I purchased it as I have used the Darphin purifying balm in the past with good results, and this seemed a less expensive alternative with good reviews. It is a fairly solid balm that melts on contact with the skin, containing a blend of carrier oils such as hazelnut, jojoba, wheat germ and borage oils, beeswax, essential oils of camomile, lavender and geranium, with iris concrete. Although I do not react well to creams with botanicals, the balms seem to not clog my skin so long as I do not use them more than about twice a week. I like the fact that it comes with a little spatula. Very expensive but I am hoping this will get me through the Canadian winter. This is geared to mature skin types, I am over 50 but still battle oily congested skin with dehydration and sensitivity; I have high hopes for this product.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Embryolisse
rated 4 of 5
moorkitty 9/1/2009 1:17:00 PM

So far my skin is liking this product. I have difficult skin, over 50 yet acne prone, sensitive, and tending to redness. I prefer more natural products such as L'Occitane or Clarins but my skin does not seem to react well to botanicals and essential oils. This is a very basic cream, it feels rich yet soaks in quickly and as others have noted makes a wonderful canvas for foundation. Purchased on line from Kuo Cosmetics in Canada for $30 and free shipping. Have been using for three weeks and so far, so good, but will update if things change. EDIT I like this equally well in the am mixed with a drop of lavender essential oil or at night blended with my Retin A. This is one very versatile cream and if I want a lighter application I first mist my face with avene water then spread just a few drops: This is hard to find in France.

Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Purple Haze
rated 5 of 5
moorkitty 8/13/2009 9:24:00 AM

For seven dollars you really can't go wrong with this product. I won't elaborate on details of shades, which is well written just below. Suffice to say the quality is very good, long-lasting, with pretty compact, nearly on a par with my Chanel Quad. If you have pale skin and silver hair, as I do, I think you will be very pleased with the selection of shades. Finding true violets that are not too pink, or too muddy is difficult for me. I use the two palest for a subtle look but my daughter uses all four together. The charcoal makes a nice liner esp if you use it wet.
