I had such high hopes for this product! Unfortunately, it doesn't do much at all. There are a few things I do like about it: the cold roller ball, the immediate moisture and the non-waxiness. I also like the fact that it contains sunscreen. But there are more things I don't like about it: the moisture doesn't last more than a few minutes, my lips are more dry than ever when it wears off, and the scent is funky. It smells like cream soda with a touch of licorice. I also question how effective the sunscreen is, when this product doesn't even last on the lips for more than a few minutes. I won't be buying this product again.
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Tutti Dolci EDT in Fantasia di Cioccolata

Wow! I'm impressed by the lasting power of this EDT. Any of the Tutti Dolci EDTs I've applied haven't lasted long. This one lasts hours on me! This is one of the very few chocolate scents I can wear. It smells like a mixture of rich chocolate and berries - a lot like a chocolate covered cherry but with raspberry notes. I love it! I get lots of compliments on it. A definite repurchase for me - and it's perfect for Valentine's Day and this time of the year in general.

This is one of the few chocolate scents I can wear. It's a mixture of rich chocolate and berries. It smells like chocolate covered cherries to me but with raspberry notes as well. It's delicious! And perfect for Valentines Day and this time of the year. The Souffle is the same thick, rich, moisturizing formula as the other Souffle scents. This is a nice, unique scent! A definite repurchase for me.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - PureGlow Daily Cleansing Cushions - Normal to Dry Skin
moonsista 1/25/2006 6:25:00 PM
These are wonderful! I have dry skin, especially in the winter. These are dual-sided - one side is textured (with raised dots) and has the cleanser on it. The texture is supposed to exfoliate and cleanse. The other side is also textured (with raised ribs) and has the moisturizer on it - it's supposed to moisturize and massage. These are made into a "pocket" and you slip your fingers into the pocket. Neither side does the exfoliating or massaging well, but the cleansing side cleans very well and removes makeup nicely. The moisturizing side moisturizes lightly and makes my face feel great. These really are sort of a "spa" experience - when I get out of the shower, my face feels better than it ever has. The scent is a medium strength floral scent. There are 24 pads in a package for about $6.99 (I've seen them for $6.99 and $7.99 at drugstores). A definite repurchase for me!
This is the best and the most moisturizing of all of the TBS Body Butters. It's thick, rich and VERY moisturizing without being greasy. It's my winter body moisturizer of choice. The scent is light without being too light. It absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn't leave anything unabsorbed. This is one of the best body butters I've ever tried! A definite repurchase for me.
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Grapeseed Lip Butter
moonsista 1/25/2006 6:18:00 PM
So far, all of the TBS Lip Butters I've tried have had the same great texture and nice moisturizing properties. They aren't waxy, are concentrated with shea butter and moisturize my lips nicely. Grapeseed has a light white grape scent and flavor. These apply nicely (considering the fact that you have to apply it with your finger) and moisturize my lips for at least half an hour, even while I'm drinking something. A definite repurchase for me!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Coconut Lip Butter
moonsista 1/25/2006 6:15:00 PM
I love the Lip Butters from TBS. So far all of the flavors/scents that I've tried have the exact same texture. The Coconut is one of my favorites. It has a great coconut scent and a very light coconut flavor. It's very moisturizing, isn't waxy and lasts for at least a half an hour on my lips even when I'm drinking something. Overall this is another great Lip Butter from TBS. A definite repurchase for me.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]
moonsista 12/13/2005 10:16:00 PM
I'm shocked at the negative reviews for this product! This is mascara of the year in my opinion. I thought at first that the teeny-tiny comb would be a BAD thing but it turned out to be wonderful! First of all, the mascara goes on poorly in the first stroke. When you actually get some of the mascara on the lashes, you then separate the lashes and the mascara will distribute evenly. This makes my lashes look really long. My lashes are coated very well but are not necessarily very thick - but EVERY lash is coated because the comb teeth are so tiny that they get in between every lash. The brush is very skinny, allowing you to get in corners to reach those hard-to-reach lashes. I purchased this in the Very Black shade - it's a nice, dark black. This mascara does not require two coats for me. It also stays black all day - it doesn't attract eyeshadow or face powder onto my lashes, making them less black. In addition, this doesn't flake off at all and doesn't require any touch-ups during the day. 5 stars!
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Eyeshadow - Suede Sensation
moonsista 12/12/2005 10:43:00 PM
Having had an OK experience with Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, I eagerly purchased the new Dream Mousse Eyeshadow in the Suede Sensation shade, which is a medium, shimmery bronzey brown. This is a shimmery but not glittery, slightly sheer moussey-textured eyeshadow that goes on just like the Dream Matte Mousse Foundation and the Blush. It comes in the same type of small glass pot (but smaller) and is applied with your fingerip. It's a somewhat subtle look - you won't get tons of full coverage here - but it's shimmery and really nice. No creasing or flaking at ALL, and the color lasts all day. The color in the jar is far lighter on the lids. This is good for an overall wash of color. Blends well with other powder shadows. I use this all over my eyelid with Bare Escentuals Eyeshadow in Snow as a highlighter on the brow bone. This is the only shade I have tried so far.
I'm so disappointed in this lipstick! I figured that a company like DuWop would produce a better lipstick! There are several problems with this lipstick: it's not moisturizing, it doesn't last and the shade selection is limited to six shades. I chose Blue Daisy because it's a mauve shade with a bit of coral that works for me. This lipstick has a very slight buttercream frosting flavor and scent, not the typical DuWop Venom cinnamon sting. The lasting power of this lipstick is just shameful! I also think this lipstick is a bit drying to my lips. And the lipstick tube is too big, making it a pain in the butt if your makeup bag is small. This is nothing more than a drugstore lipstick with an $18 price tag. Not a re-purchase for me.
The tinted/colored Venom Gloss isn't quite as spicy/tingly as I thought it would be. To me, it's not as strong as the original clear Venom Gloss. It doesn't plump my lips at all. I do like the bit of tingle and spice, though. The color is a sheer berry with same-colored berry shimmer flecks. This is a nice sheer berry shade for any skin tone in my opinion. I have pale skin and dark hair and this is a great shade for me. It looks dark in the tube but goes on very sheer. Not a re-purchase for me because it's not worth the $$. Many drugstore glosses are easily this good for a lot less $$.
Lotions/ Creams -Scentual Pleasures - Body Frosting - Christmas Cocktail
moonsista 11/4/2005 11:19:00 PM
I like the Body Frosting but for me, it's not quite heavy enough for my dry skin in winter. However, it's perfect for the rest of the year. It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. The moisture lasts all day. The Christmas Cocktail scent is nothing short of luscious. SP describes it on the scent menu as "berries and fruits", so I'm not sure what the notes are. I think I smell oranges, cranberries and cherries. It's a year-round scent in my opinion, not just a Christmas scent! It's a bit tart but also sweet. I'm not a fruit scent lover normally and this scent is just wonderful!
Candles -Scentual Pleasures - Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes Tart
moonsista 11/4/2005 11:14:00 PM
I've been in love with SP's Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes scent for way over a year. When I saw that they were selling tarts again, I wanted to try them in the Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes scent. I'm glad I did! The scent isn't exactly the same as it is in the lotion, mist, etc. but it's close. The tart is really strong, melts nicely and removes from the container with no problems. The scent is a mixture of cupcake, pumpkin and spice. The tart is spicier than the body products, but that's OK. This is the perfect fall scent for home fragrance.
Candles -Laughing Out Loud - Pink Sugar Buttercream
moonsista 10/7/2005 12:59:00 PM
Pink Sugar Buttercream is the perfect mixture of Pink Sugar and buttercream frosting. It is a bit like SP's Pink Sugar Cake but more of a *frosting* note instead of the *cake* note. I like this better than regular Pink Sugar! This is a strong, long-lasting tart, too - I've had these last through 4 tealights.
Hands down, this is one of my favorite SP scents. It smells *exactly* like a ripe banana! No fake candy notes, and it's not over-sweet. Just pure, ripe banana. Delicious! And it layers VERY well with any cake or cupake scent for a banana cake or banana cream scent. My favorite way to wear it is with an older BB Cupcake lotion I have. It also layers well with SP's Ice Cream Factory scent. A definite repurchase for me!
