Highlighters -Christian Dior - Shimmer Powder 002 Amber Diamond, Spring 08
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/28/2009 3:58:00 AM

oh Amber Diamond, how i love thee! after trying MAC Soft & Gentle MSF,BB Copper Diamond shimmerbrick, cream & liquid highlighters.. i love this the best. after experimenting with this for more than a month, this is def. my HG highlighter atm. man, this stuff made me GLOW. =) Pros: love this stuff because it's glowy, highlights your cheekbones awesomely, not OTT shimmer like *cough* BB shimmerbrick *cough* good staying power & not as fragile as MAC MSF. classy packaging & you get lots of products in the compact (10g).. the powder is very finely milled & def. very blendable. the colors work wonderfully together. one more thing is that the colors are not flat, they have more dimension to it not like other highlighters i have tried. Cons: the price! expensive imo but worth it.. wish it's cheaper tho.. Colors: there are 5 stripes in Amber Diamond. starting from the left is shimmery ivory (like NARS Albatross), champagne (like MAC Soft & Gentle), tan, bronze & peach. love all the colors! swirled together,it produce a lovely gold w/ champagne or bronze tones highlight hue. *swoon* Packaging: in a classy midnight blue rectangle compact with 'Dior' written in front of it. i don't think this is safe to bring for travelling tho coz it's fragile.. i wear this very often as it suits my complexion very well. not OTT yet you can see it's glowing naturally on the face. this is a staple in my m/u collec. this is awesome to pair with any blushes & suits all kinds of looks.now, i'll hunt for the Dior Copper Diamond... Repurchase: yep! ♥ Reference: NC35/40. tan skin w/ yellow or golden tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin.

Cons: ...... Packaging: slim, sleek & sturdy black rectangle compact with a great quality mirror inside. Color: it's like a freaking bright orange with gold shimmer.. *swoon* man, you don't need a highlighter at all when you wear this blush. i love this blush so much because it gives me this gorgeous peach-gold glow on the cheeks if applied with a light hand & fluffy blush brush. totally suit my tan skin & made my cheekbones POP. it's gonna take forever to finish Taj Mahal since a little goes a long way. Repurchase: yes..yes..yess. if i can finish with this one. misz93 6/28/2009 2:49:00 AM

i love Gilda.. *swoon* got this when a lovely MUA'er CP'ed it for me when she went overseas.. Gilda gives me this awesome pink guava/apricot glow on the cheeks that looks very natural yet noticable. love to pair this with natural/neutral looks. light hand application & a good blush brush is all you need with this baby. Pros: hella pigmented, gorgeous matte color, very blendable, awesome staying power, sleek & elegant packaging. didn't break out my dry & sensitive skin too. Gilda made me look fresh & very youthful when i wear it =D Cons: umm,the price? lol. but i don't mind since it's such a great quality blush. Color: matte pink guava color, like a pink with orange tone. i may describe the color as apricot too. def. a very pretty blush. Packaging: sleek & elegant black packaging with the great quality mirror inside. slim & sturdy too. easy to bring for travel or to put inside purse for touch-up. Repurchase: yep, in a heartbeat if i can finish it.. Reference: NC35/40. tan skin w/ yellow or golden tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin.

Blush -Bourjois - Rose Eclat 15
rated 4 of 5
misz93 6/28/2009 2:37:00 AM

i got this blush as extra from a lovely MUA'er in my CP package. Rose Eclat is a pretty blush. i'm glad i got to try Bourjois blushes as this brand is unavailable here. Pros: pigmented blush. i swiped one time & there's already lots of colors showed up on my finger when i swatched. good staying power & definitely blendable on the cheeks. nice packaging too. it gives me this youthful pink-rose glow on the cheeks. =) Cons: eh, none i would say. some people dislike the smell of Bourjois blushes tho but i'm fine with it.. it smells a bit strong like lavender & roses.. Color: a glowy yet pigmented pink-rose color. no shimmer just the glowiness. Packaging: in a small pink round compact with a mirror inside & a small blush brush. the blush is dome shaped & it looks like a mini Chanel JC. cute packaging i must say.

rated 4 of 5
misz93 6/28/2009 2:27:00 AM

an awesome MUA'er gave this as extra for my CP package. i like this palette! i already fell in love with the Sandcastle palette & so glad i got to try Paradise Cove. this palette is like Sandcastle's more neutral to cool toned sister. Pros: nice palette, great for everyday look. hella cheap too. you get 8 e/s in a palette with a slide-in mirror for only $5USD. pigmentation is good too for a d/s palette. you can create lots of different looks with this one. Cons: umm, i dont know actually.. Colors: i love the shimmery champagne-peach,matte white, neutral brown-taupe & the matte dark brown colors the best. Repurchase: yep, if i finish or lose this palette. if you dislike Sandcastle because of the warmness & shimmers of the colors, get Paradise Cove. it's definitely worth a try.

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
rated 2 of 5
misz93 6/23/2009 6:27:00 AM

i got this liner in Coffee which is a pretty dark brown. i like the color. Pros: nice color. simple packaging. verrry affordable. Cons: doesn't apply evenly, may flake througout the day. the product is also a bit goopy. quite hard to get a straight line. smells a bit funky. overall, okay product. it's just that its hard to line my eyes with this liner since i have long & thick lashes & the liner will end up a bit on my lashes as well. i prefer BB gel liner,MAC fluidline,Revlon Colorstay or L'oreal super liner.

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Silkygirl Juicy Fruity in Peach Nectar
rated 4 of 5
misz93 6/20/2009 12:36:00 PM

Silkygirl is like the 'Asian' version of Wet n Wild. i got this in shade 03 which is Peach Nectar.. if compared to another d/s l/g, this is definitely tons better than Rimmel Vinyl Lip. Pros: nice color, the shimmer is really fine yet noticable, good applicator, not sticky, lightweight texture, last well for a d/s lipgloss. cheap too. it lightens up my pigmented lips & made them look juicy & plumped without looking like i just ate a bucket of greasy fried chicken.. Cons: i prefer it to be more pigmented.. Color: peach-pink color with rainbow shimmers.. like a shimmery nude shade Packaging: in a clear squeeze tube like Lancome juicy tubes & it has a brush applicator. the applicator is better than MAC Lustreglass & Stila lipglaze. Price: i got it for RM13.90 which is equivalent to $4. dirt cheap & easily available in d/s. Lip Combo: i like to pair it with my Kiss Me lip concealer or Rimmel Addiction lipliner. lovely to pair with nude l/s too like Revlon Almost Nude, MAC Hue or Brave New Bronze.

Lipstick -MAC - Style Warriors- Brave New Bronze [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/16/2009 4:27:00 AM

i have swatches of this in my profile.. i'm in love with Brave New Bronze.. after about 3 weeks experimenting with it,it's my HG nude lippie yet.. this color is gorgeous.. =) this lippie is the kind that works great depending on your skintone & the pigmentation of your lips. Pros: it's a gorgeous nude color & the Satin formula last long unlike Lustre & Glaze formula. it even lasts through my meal. the formula is not drying either. it covers my pigmented lips so well & mask it with a creamy pink nude hue. the packaging is awesome as well. Cons: i'm upset it's LE.. therefore,i bought a backup of it.. Color: creamy pink nude..no shimmer, no hint of brown, orange or bronze at all on me which is a huge plus. it can look like it has a hint of peach in it under certain light. Possible dupes: MAC Cherish but Cherish has tiny bit more of peach in it. MAC Honeylove yet Honeylove has more pink in it & the Matte formula is drying as hell. MAC Velvet Teddy but VT has more of a beige or brown hue to it than Brave New Bronze. Lip products to pair it with: i love to pair it with Baby Sparks dazzleglass or a clear gloss. Looks lovely as well when paired with Love Nectar lustreglass, Bare Necessity dazzleglass or Rimmel Addiction lipliner. use this l/s with a lipbalm underneath as it can make dry lips look noticable. this is the lippie that i can just put on without having to worry what l/g suits with it because it even looks great alone. this will definitely suit from natural to dramatic looks as this is not the fake concealer nude color on the lips. my first m/u product that i bought a backup of. love the packaging too..hmm, leopard print *swoon* Reference: NC35/40.tan skin, dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin.

Lip Liners -Rimmel - Exaggerate - Addiction 018
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/10/2009 3:12:00 AM

i love Rimmel lipliners. they're good quality for a d/s brand..i prefer Addiction 10000x more than Eastend Snob. Addiction def. has warm tone to it while Eastend Snob made me look like i'm dehydrated or ill. Addiction is a staple in my m/u stash & i always have it in my m/u bag. Pros: creamy, pigmented, no need to sharpen, hella cheap, stays on the lips, make l/s last longer. best d/s nude lipliner! Cons: the amount of product you get is so little.. Price: dirt cheap. i got it for RM13.51 which is equivalent to about $4USD. Color: when swatched on hands, it looks like neutral peach-pink brown nude but applied on lips as warm pink-nude which is perfect! Packaging: well, it is def. not the cutest thing on Earth, but it's convenient & simple. Recs to pair it with: wanna have J. Lo lips? apply Rimmel Addiction then top off with MAC Love Nectar lustreglass. i love to pair this with MAC Hue or Brave New Bronze l/s. wanna have caramel lips? top off Rimmel Addiction with MAC Spring Bean lustreglass. honestly, i pair this with any of my neutral, nude, peach & pink l/s. even on its own with a clear gloss on top, it still looks great. if i wanna use Addiction as my lip color, i blank out my lips with Kiss Me lip concealer, then apply Addiction on top. Reference: i'm NC35-37,dark brown eyes & hair. sensitive & dry skin. Repurchase: yep, in a heartbeat! ♥

Blush -Laura Mercier - Apricot Face Tint
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/9/2009 7:19:00 AM

this stuff is dc'ed already. i got it when the LM SA ordered it with her stuff card & she sell it for me $5 cheaper than the original price lol. Pros: very blendable, make your cheeks glow beautifully, very pigmented & good staying power as well. the powder is very finely-milled. Cons: i hate the packaging honestly,it's a hassle for me to pour the powder carefully through the many little holes.. how i wish this blush is in pressed powder form. Price: it's about $29 USD IIRC, very reasonable IMO with the amount you get. you get 10g & it will take forever to finish this. Packaging: in a large & quite bulky jar with sifter.. it has 'Laura Mercier' written on the side of the lid. Color: well, the name says it all, apricot. it's a peach-pink coral,i would say. Application: i apply this with my MAC 168. i dab the brush on the lid, then tap off the excess & apply on the cheeks, continue with buffing so it will look natural. ♥ UPDATE: i prefer NARS Gilda over LM Apricot tint.. stays on longer & not as messy..

Blush -NARS - Lovejoy
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/9/2009 5:31:00 AM

this is my HG blush! if i can only have one blush forever, this would be it. this is the blush that i can put on everyday with any m/u looks, from dramatic to natural. it makes my cheeks glowy & naturally flushed. never disappointed with this. it's a staple in my m/u collection. i apply this with my MAC 168. this is the blush i reach the most of all the blushes i own. this is like blush+bronzer in one= blonzer. Pros: gorgeous & natural looking color, very pigmented, lasting power is good on the cheeks, great texture, nice shimmer, very blendable & it doesn't break out my sensitive & dry skin (eczema).. Cons: i don't know if there's any.. Color: warm rose-bronze with shimmer.. Packaging: i really like NARS black compact,it even has a mirror.. very sturdy & slim.. easy to bring for travelling or just to bring for touch-up inside the purse.. Price: for $25 USD, i personally think it's reasonable for the quality. Repurchase: yep, in a heartbeat! ♥ for reference: i'm NC35-37,dark brown eyes & hair. sensitive & dry skin.

Lips -Kiss Me - Heavy Rotation Lip Concealer
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/8/2009 4:50:00 AM

woww, this product rocks my world. wanna know why? i have pigmented lips & love how some light pink nude lippies look on some people.. i dont wanna wear reg. concealer on my lips so at last i found this product: Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Lip Concealer in Nude Beige. Pros: it covers the pigmentation of my lips fabulously. it feels like a lipbalm when applied on the lips.it's not drying or waxy at all IMO unlike MAC Lip Erase which is drying.. it smells like coconuts, yummy! you get a lot of product in the packaging & a little goes along the way so it will last long.. the products stays put on top of the lips unlike reg. concealer which move around if you use it on the lips. it protects lips from UV rays since it has SPF14 PA++. can be used for making l/s to appear truer colors, doesn't matter what color of the lippies are. Cons: i don't know if there's any.. but maybe the price is a bit high for a d/s product? i got it for RM46 which is equivalent to $13USD. but i dont care for the price since it works wonderfully for me.. Color: nude beige color.it's similar to MAC Myth or Fleshpot l/s but this lip concealer is comfy & cheaper than MAC l/s i mentioned above. Packaging: its in a black twist-up tube like a normal lipbalm.. simple yet chic packaging,i would say.. hygienic packaging as well unlike MAC Lip Erase which is in a pot.. Application: apply on lips after lipbalm.. apply along the natural contour of the lips..you can pat it on w/ your finger to fill in the lips for flawless application & top off with your fave l/s or l/g.. Availability: i found this when i went to SaSa store at my fave shopping mall. maybe you can get it on Sasa website or even evilbay as well. Possible dupes: Canmake lip concealer (Canmake's color of lip concealer is darker than Kiss Me) ,Etude color me nude lip concealer & MAC Lip Erase. Repurchase: yep,in a heartbeat! ♥ Ideas: wanna have J. Lo lips? put MAC Love Nectar lustreglass or Revlon SL Nude Lustre l/g on top of it..*swoon* other recs: pair it with either Spring Bean lustreglass, Florabundance, Lust lipglass,Hue or Creme d' Nude lippies. i would rec this for ladies who have pigmented lips or the ones who love nude lips.. i would never be worried again about light colored l/s not showing up on me as long as i have this & it will be a staple in my m/u stash from now on & i would never want to be without this lip concealer... =D i'm in love.. *swoon* since this product is not popular yet, if you ladies got any question about it, just PM me & i'll try my best to answer your questions..=)

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
rated 5 of 5
misz93 6/5/2009 2:08:00 AM

this is my ultimate beauty product for my dry skin & lips.. been using this since i was 14. Pros: i use it as lip moisturizer or apply it on my face or neck when it feels dry. its not greasy or waxy IMO. it works on my dry & sensitive skin very well. doesn't break me out since it only contains petroleum jelly. it's dirt cheap too, got it for $1.50. the packaging is def. not the cutest thing on Earth but then its not that bad & it actually provides lots of products.i use this for my eczema too. can be used as m/u remover if i ran out of it.this is a staple in my everyday lives.. always have it in my m/u bag.. Cons: none really.. Repurchase: Yep, definitely.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Star Nova
rated 4 of 5
misz93 6/2/2009 9:05:00 AM

i'm glad i got this in a swap. i ended up liking it.. in the tube, it looks like a dull mauvey-purple lipgloss with shimmers. on the lips, its a shiny light mauve with hints of pink. i love to pair this with neutral or cool toned m/u. it makes my lips look more plumped. one thing about lustreglass is that you can't beat the shine it gives. its more comfy to wear than lipglass because of its lightweight texture.. the brush applicator makes application looks better as you can thin out the amount of gloss you wanna put on the lips. =)
