Palettes -Unlisted Brand - profusion Trendsetter Colorbook
missichicki 3/27/2011 10:19:00 PM
Well I swore I was on a no-buy, but instead I got a haul from Ross. My book is slightly different from the one described by another reviewer here. In the space where there would be 4 contours, I have 4 creme shadows, gold, bronze, burgundy, champagne, all GORG! I applied them over a primer with a wet MAC 252 brush, unreal color payoff. I am thrilled with all 40 shades of powder eyeshadow. The 20 glosses are just that, pretty fun glosses. Then there are 4 face powders, pointless. The blushes are really excellent. Pretty, shimmery, easy to wear. The packaging is very pretty (lil leather binder) but when closed some eyeshadow fallout into the glosses. I solved this by closing 2 squares of toilet paper inside the book. For 6.49, a great buy!

Eye Shadow -Unlisted Brand - Starry Boutique Colors palette 06
missichicki 3/26/2011 10:40:00 PM
I found a neat little palette at Ross for 4.99. I will try to upload a pic, but I will have to take it with my crud camera phone. It's "24" colors, but it's actually 12 pans, with a splash of different color contrast on the inside of each pan. They all work really well. Highly pigmented, easily blendable, I'm very happy with this purchase. I was really hoping the red shades would turn out good because I don't have anything similar, and they are beautiful, as are the oranges and yellows, and all the rest. I would def buy anything else from this brand. The whole kit is 20g total.

Eye Shadow -Sally Girl - Mini Baked Eyeshadow - All colors
missichicki 3/25/2011 6:14:00 PM
I bought 4 today and I will probably buy more. The only one I didn't like is the white one. The pink, blue, and green are awesome. I apply them wet, wet, wet, and with a primer. They're a little tricky... I take my brush, really wet it, and kind of attack the shadow to get it started. Once the shadow starts to come loose, it's very easy to apply. Really stunning party shades. You can fill up your train case for just a few dollars. Love.

Eye Shadow -Sally Girl - Glow Green
missichicki 3/25/2011 6:09:00 PM
After reading all the reviews on MUA, I decided to stop by Sally's. I bought 8 shadows. I looove 6 of them, so score. I think this is one of the best greens ever, any brand. It doesn't look like much in the package, but boy is it a fun vibrant color. I also bought Emerald, which is also a great green color, but GG is my fave. I can def see myself buying more of these. Oh yeah, apply wet with a primer. 1.1g of shadow for 99 cents, can't beat it.

Blush -Lancome - Butterflies Fever
missichicki 3/2/2011 1:25:00 AM
Well I didn't buy this but I went to the counter with every intention to. I have seen it online. I own 3 train cases full of makeup and while I adore bargains, I can definitely spend too, so I was not put off by the price tag. But boy was this a letdown. It barely shows up at all. I swiped it three times and was still trying to convince myself I was seeing it while turning my face this way and that. And I'm really peachy-pale. I own a MAC Mineralize blush and six Elizabeth Arden blushes and this doesn't even come close. Very dissappointed because it's such a stunner that I really wanted it. Waaaah.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Lipstick - in the buff
missichicki 3/1/2011 1:26:00 AM
Reminds me of MAC Honeylove (maybe I have that name wrong). A very pretty matte pale color. Wear it alone or to make your fave lippie last longer. The more I'm reading here the more I'm thinking these are all d/c, and I'm glad I bought so many at Big Lots. Anywho, I think this is going to be a heavily used one. It's an easy to wear one, even if you don't have time to do your whole look that day.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Lipstick in Chocolate Obsession
missichicki 3/1/2011 1:20:00 AM
A really gorg brown. This truly is chocolate and it can be difficult to wear alone (depending on what else you're doing with your makeup) but I find it makes an excellent base for my more sheer neutral lippies that don't "stick" as well. It looks great with L'oreal Colour Riche Bronze Coin on top, and other combinations are endless, so to speak. A great investment.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Platinum in Glistening Berry
missichicki 3/1/2011 1:14:00 AM
I am so excited to have this color, especially since I bought it for only two freaking dollars! Glistening Berry is the perfect name for it, it's a bright, bold, pink, shimmering, berry shade. Goes on easy and stays and stays. One tube lasts forever so it's a great investment. I love all the L'oreal Endless.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless - Timeless Tawny
missichicki 3/1/2011 1:10:00 AM
Excellent long-wear lippie I grabbed up at Big Lots for $2. A bronzy mid-tone type color, easy to wear, very neutral. This has some glimmer to it, not matte finish like some longwears. Highly recommend.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume
missichicki 3/1/2011 1:02:00 AM
This is probably the last mascara I'll ever need. Ages ago I was saying that about MAC LoudLash, but it got d/c:( I tried this (after many others) on a recommendation from a friend, and I'm hooked. I've also tried their lengthening and shimmery (not sure what they call it?) formulations, but the orange tube is the BEST. Lashes are long, full, batty, gorg, and it stays on. Perfection.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Endless Color Lipstick in Saucy Sangria

Wow I thought I was the only person who knew about these. Okay I am a "Snow White"...pale Caucasion, true black hair. Light eyes. Sometimes I like to wear the whole red lip, pinup girl makeup look thing. It's near impossible to find a good red lippie. There's always something "good, but not quite" about most red lipsticks. Too brash or too greasy or whatever. Well L'oreal Endless in general are really good either by themselves (I own LOTS) or as a base for lippies that don't have the same staying power. This one in particular is the best red lippie I have ever used. E.V.E.R. I just bought about 10 of these today (not the red, different colors, although, they had red too) at Big Lots for $2 a piece. So, ladies, hit up your Big Lots on a regular basis! They got finds!

Lipstick -MAC - Satin - Pink Nouveau
missichicki 2/28/2011 10:36:00 PM
Can I chime in on the positive reviews here? This is a great color to own. I loooooove this Back to MAC program, because I use their Cleanse Off Oil and Graph Black Liner and random other products so every now and again I get to pick up a free lippie. I've been able to add quite a few lippies to my train case (this, Odyssey, Up The Amp) that I don't think I would have paid for but I now totally love. I've never been dissappointed by a MAC product, and this is no exception. This is a bold Barbie pink, fun and buidable. It may take some expirementing before you find the right lipliner and eye look to wear it with. It's very pretty and fun, and especially for experienced makeup girls, it will be easy to work into your look, and a great addition to your train case. I just love it and look forward to using it whenever I can. Tooooo cute.

Fragrances -Anna Sui - Sui Love
missichicki 2/28/2011 6:21:00 AM
I've had this for a loooooong time. As in, I've had the same bottle for a long time. The scent is pleasant but entirely unmemorable, so I never find myself reaching for it. The bottle is so darn gorg I always keep is right in the middle of my vanity, though. Can't even remember what it cost so I just selected 3.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP shocking Shadow Pigment In Striving
missichicki 2/25/2011 11:09:00 PM
This is my second L'oreal pigment. I also own four MAC pigments. I am very happy with the L'oreal pigments in terms of color payoff and blendability, but I would never pay the full retail $12 for 1.5g. I would rather pay MAC $20 for 4.5g. Luckily these gorg pigments are popping up everywhere dirt cheap. This color is an emerald green, very pretty, really a staple green pigment to keep in your train case. Love.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Wild Cherry body butter
missichicki 2/25/2011 1:42:00 AM
I really like this. It does a great job on my skin. I agree with other reviewers, the fragrance is something like hard candy, not cherry, but I actually like that. It's fun. The only reason I wouldn't repurchase is because there's at least four fragrances of BB I like better.
