I really wanted a pink matte lip cream. I was torn between this and Tokyo and figured Tokyo would look too cool and milky on my light-medium yellow/warm skin. This was a pretty good color match up for me! The scent wasn't overwhelming, no flavor and the color gave me the pink I was craving for. Yeah it's a bit drying but nothing some carmex can't fix.
My favourite out of the 4 I just recently bought. It's a MLBB kinda deal with this one. A flattering flush of rose color on my lips which can be built up to look very opaque. Gotta make sure your lips are baby soft before putting on these matte lip creams! It does take a bit more prep time before just slapping this one on but the color is so lovely and the price is on point for what it is. How I like to apply this is just putting on dab onto the center on my lips and working it around by mashing my lips together. Sounds unattractive but the results make me look bangin' LOLS... I find that if you apply this like your normal doe footed lipgloss it gets just way too much product for your lips to handle. The scent is very faint, don't really know what it is but it's nothing to pass up this product for. And THANK GOODNESS, this doesn't have a flavour like the round lipsticks [my tea rose tastes like soap D:!] so that's a relief. Of course I wish NYX could make this moisturizing somehow some way but that's okay. I only paid like $4 for it so I'm content.
popped my NYX lipstick cherry with this guy. got it for a super good deal from ulta! anyway I've always been meaning to try one of these round lipsticks from NYX and it was so hard to choose since there's such a vast selection.I already enough lipstick in my makeup collection and didn't want to go overboard so I only wanted to get 1 or 2. For some reason when I would look up swatches online for tea rose, it always appeared differently on every swatch - hardly any consistency. The reviews were still stellar though so I didn't feel like I'd lose out on much if the color wasn't as expected. You guys weren't kidding, the texture on this lipstick is insane for the price range. Soft, pigmented and didn't dry out my puckers. On my lips, this shade was a MLBB kinda guy. LOVE THE COLOR! I have naturally rosy lips and this lipstick amped them up to look like a million dollars with a little hint of pink :D My lancome and estee lauder lipsticks are totes jelly of NYX. Is there a scent? I just practically stuck this up my nose and there's a faint plastic scent. I didn't smell anything when I had it on my lips so the smell doesn't transfer or linger. Now here is the one reason why I'm giving this amazing product 4 stars instead of 5. IT TASTES LIKE SOAP. You know when you accidentally get body soap in your mouth and it's kinda bitter and offsetting? Yep. That's the taste. To make the lipstick bearable, you gotta do the whole stick-one-finger-in-your-mouth-then-remove to prevent lipstick getting on your teeth so it won't get on your tongue. That's my only complaint. Amazing price, color, nice packaging but the taste is what might throw you off.
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation

NEW HG! I feel like a traitor because my old HG was MUFE HD. For reference I'm 118 in HD and 30 in Matte velvet. I've been through about 3-4 bottles of HD and it was getting a bit pricey...I actually remember buying that stuff when it was $40, not $42. I'm very hesitant and unwilling to stray away from a foundation that has worked so perfectly for me but the price tag was making my college student budget cranky so saving a few bucks wherever I could would be nice. For the same amount of product [1oz] it's $36! I don't mind that it doesn't have a pump because it's a squeeze tube/bottle - clean and sanitary. I have wombo combo skin + acne prone skin - VERY oily t-zone and normal cheeks which do get dry in the winter. This foundation actually held up a lot better regarding oil control especially around my nose. MUFE HD would pool up around my nose after a few hours of wear but since I looked so picture perfect in photographs I excused it. Matte velvet is much better for everyday wear! Now I can save my HD foundation for special occasions and not worry about splurging too much on foundation [which I use almost everyday] I got a sample of this to try before investing in the full sized tube. The SA at sephora gave me a generous amount which lasted for about 3-4 uses so I got to thoroughly test run this bad boy. This didn't breakout me out and did what it was suppose to do - oil control. This is a keeper for me :D

I've been on the hunt for a perfume I can call my own as cheesy as that sounds. The majority of my friends have their signature perfume. I love the smell of flowerbomb but that's already been claimed as well as vera wang princess D:! I think once you have a friend who has "claimed" a perfume it's just weird to purchase one they have and wear it yourself @___@;; My first perfume ever was escada sunset heat when it came out but I've grown out of that and have been perfume-less ever since then...a dry spell if anything. I heard raves about this perfume and luckily for me there were two things that checked off my list - no one I knew [ex.friends, family etc] had this perfume AND I actually got a sample from sephora from one of my online orders...I just never bothered to take a whiff. I'm glad I had the sample to test out and I love it! I can see this scent being even more awesome when the weather gets a bit chilly. The scent can become a tad bit much during hot/warmer weather [like right now in cali] but I still love it anyway. I purchased this right away in the biggest sized offered<3 Love love love this scent. I don't have any experience in distinguishing notes/scents but it's sweet and attractive. It doesn't smell too sweet like victoria's secret scents so I don't smell like some high school student - the scent has the perfect level of sweetness for 20 something year olds...like me :D!
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Peach Kiss

Smells faintly of peach rings but I’ve ran into more pleasant peachy scents elsewhere. This one has SHIMMER. I had semi-dry lips when I put this on and what a train wreck that was. It didn’t look flattering at all and again the moisturizing power wasn’t anything super-duper. I could see how this would work for some but it wasn’t for me.
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Cherry Me

My favorite scent out of the 3 I got. I really love the fake cherry scent so I’m biased I guess. But that’s it with the good stuff with this one. It gives a faint tint of red but….it looked a bit muddy on me though. Another (and cheaper) product that could give you a better “faint red” tint which will amp up your lip color is the dr.pepper lip smacker. I guess this one is alright. It can also be a cheaper alternative to the Clinique chubby stick in chunky cherry. I have both the dr.pepper lip balm & Clinique chubby stick in chunky cherry so this purchase was totally unnecessary.
This comes off as a rusty dark pink on my skin tone. I like pairing this up with a darker matte color on my outter V. It's shimmery but not over the top. I can't say much regarding staying power by itself. I always use an eyelid primer because I have such oily lids. I consider this one of my lazy eyeshadows since I like to occasionally swipe this as an all over lid color - top it off with mascara & eyeliner then I'm set for the day. I think it's a given that urbandecay eyeshadows has one of the best eyeshadows - buttery soft and pigmented so there's no need to dig into your product.
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner - Ultra Black

Super amazing liquid eyeliner for the price. It's very pigmented and stays put. It's a good liner for those who want to start learning how to use liquid eyeliner. I don't prefer felt tip but that's okay. The price and formula are on point so I can't complain,
Thank god I picked this up for only $2. The only thing worth using is the eyehadow and it isn't even in a spectacular. The cream eyeliner smudges in minutes. Horrible formula, shame on you lorac :x Don't waste your money on this guys. Even for $2 it's not worth it.
Love this lipgloss. This is my go to lipgloss to top off most of my lipsticks. It's not too sheer or too opaque. It has always worked extremely well with whatever I've layered it on top of. Such an easy to wear every day color, you can't go wrong with this shade :>
This was alright. I think on my skin tone it came off a bit too cool. I made it work on my complexion by adding a slightly opaque lipgloss on top. It's a lovely pink color with good color pay off and wasn't drying on the lips. But I've tried other pink shades which suit my skin tone more than wish has so I'll have to skip on repurchasing this guy.
ARGGG ESTEE LAUDER YOU HURT... No, really, This stuff is way too tough to get onto my waterline. The only way I can see myself liking this if I were to use this gently on my lower lash line and smoke it out. However, I don't favor that look. I like a dark waterline and this was just painful.
It's a good base to use for your neutral eyeshadows. Ever since the maybelline color tattoos came out I don't really use nyx pencils as me go-to base anymore. Regardless it's still a good product, even as a stand-alone color. I got mine in a pack of 3 on ebay for super cheap (milk, yogurt & iced mocha).
Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Yogurt
mikxoh 7/20/2012 12:56:00 AM
Like most others I use this as a base for my neutral eyeshadows. It's such a safe color pick you can't go wrong. My only complaint is that I wish it was a twist up kinda product like the clinque chubby sticks. Besides that it's a very decent product at an affordable price.
