Self Tanners -Aveeno - Continuous Radiance Moisturizing Lotion

Got this from a friend, and left it on my shelf for a loooong time unopened. But then I started using it because I ran out of regular lotion, and figured I'd give it a shot. What a surprise! I'm not orange-y at all (must be a hit or miss with users, and your own skin tone to how the color is), but for me, it's a great tanned color. I used this in Miami, used spf 50 the entire time, and when I came back everyone commented on what an amazing tan I got :) It can take a few extra minutes to dry, but it's been great. No streaks, but you have to be careful around your toes/feet. This is the 'best' smelling of all the sunless lotions out there by far too.
The pencil is the right thickness - meaning it is thin and should draw a good thin eyeliner line. But, the liner itself is just too hard! I feel like I am constantly tugging at my eyes, and the liner feels very hard against my skin. Not good! I hope they reformulate this one, because it has potential!
Cleansers -Shiseido - The Skincare Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam

I want to love this cleanser, and I try to use all the samples I get, but it just doesn't seem to work out for me. Some people may like the squeaky clean feeling, but for me, it just feels like my skin is very tight and dry afterwards. Also, I don't typically wear heavy makeup everyday, just a bit of spot concealer, but this cleanser left a lot of makeup (which I only noticed when I used a cotton pad and toner). Eeks! I switched immediately because the worst thing would be to sleep with makeup still on your skin! I might keep just for the mornings, but not sure I would purchase.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Mineral Eyeshadow

bleh. i bought this and the foundation...and ended up returning this shadow. the colors are really muted and you can't build on it. Shows up as a very washed out shimmer, which, you can essentially get anywhere. no staying power either.
Scrubs -Fresh - Sugar Face Polish with Strawberries

Let's start with the fact that I have rosacea (sensitive skin prone to redness), and it in facts react almost immediately if something is not as gentle as it should be. That being said, this is my HG scrub! I was initially worried about the harsh sugar granules and 'strawberry' acid in it..but it is really very gentle because of the natural ingredients, and my skin always feels baby soft and smooth afterwards. I'm almost always complimented on my skin for days after I use this scrub/mask, which is amazing because I have always had to deal with problem skin! I put it on after showering on dry skin, leave on for 5 - 10 minutes then wet my fingers and scrub gently in circular motion. A little water added after letting is sit makes the sugar softer and not as scratchy. Truly amazing, and worth the money!
Does not add volume, and in fact, I feel like the next morning my hair is flatter than normal. Not hydrating, not volumizing...I'm really not sure why I'm trying to finish this bottle! Doesn't do a good job of detangling either.
Ugh. I feel like I am forcing myself to finish this bottle even though it's really awful. Doesn't add volume, but instead feels like it is stripping my hair too. Shampoo is shampoo, but it when this ends up leaving my hair tangled, coarse and dry feeling.
Eyeliner -Prestige - Hi-Definition Fluid Eyeliner Stylist

Watery and awful! which is too bad, b/c the packaging and felt tip is pretty good which had potential to be an easy liner...but - it's so watery you have to go over it multiple times and each time you do it it takes off chunks of what you put on with previous attempts. Color comes out like more of a watery gray too. Saw that the reviews for the normal liquid liner is supposed to be good though, so may have to try that!
I really can't seem to tell what this product has done so far, and I've now used up the entire tube! It has a runny consistency, does not really moisturize well (I feel like I need more almost immediately after putting it on) and there really didn't seem to have any long term benefits. The only pros are that: it absorbs pretty fast, and people seem to like the scent.
Not the most amazing hand cream in terms of moisturizing, but it has excellent spf, and my hands ARE softer after putting this cream on. In general, even when I haven't applied, I noticed that the backs of my hand are smoother and softer from the protection. It's inexpensive for a hand lotion, absorbs fairly well, and doesn't smell too strong. Definitely recommended, and beats putting on hand lotion and having to follow with sunscreen on top of that!
Conditioner -Neutrogena - Triple Mositure Silk Touch Leave-in Cream

This is a great detangler, but not sure about how moisturizing it is. I can definitely tell that my hair is a little smoother right after drying, but I need something a little more deeply moisturizing in general.
Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Ecru Marine Styling Balm

Retails for $24 - but I received this as a gift. So far, I feel as though the hold is just okay and pretty light, although it doesn't leave any flakes and is not too stiff/hard looking. That being said, the consistency is very, very watery. It's not perfectly what I'm looking for yet, so I'll keep trying. It's just a good thing that I got this for free, because it is definitely not worth paying full price for it!
Love her products, but the gloss formula really needs to be worked on. They are so sticky! Anytime there is a breeze, I am having to pick my own hair out of my gloss and getting the stickiness out of my hair. She has great colors, but I will still probably stick with Nars.
I needed a hairdryer, read the reviews on hair, and immediately went out and bought it. Just finished drying my hair and wow...my hair never looks like this after I dry it! I've been using the a different Conair (ion shine) dryer...and my hair always somehow looks really dry and the ends are frizzy. This model 207P looks like I just got my hair blown out! Highly recommend using this with the concentrator (I have straight hair) and the conair round brush!
Cleansers -Olay - Gentle Foaming Face Wash w/ Aloe (Sensitive-Skin)
lillian1717 5/21/2008 8:31:00 PM
A very good foaming face wash for people with sensitive skin. My skin normally reacts to anything with fragrances, alcohol, acids, oils, etc...but this has been really great! It's very mild, and doesn't necessarily take off very heavy makeup, but it's good for everyday use and if your skin has been having reactions, it's really that mild. Took one lippie off because it takes a while to get used to feeling like you have a slight film on your skin (it's really just the aloe softening your skin) and also because it always leaks in my suitcase when traveling! Even though I put everything in a ziplock bag, it can still get annoying to waste the product and constantly have to rinse it. On my second tube...but now that I've tried the Fresh soy cleanser, I "might" have to switch to that now!
