Blush -Becca - Turkish Rose creme blush
rated 4 of 5

I like this blush a lot! It looked a muddy mauve in the pan when I first opened it and I wondered what I could have been thinking when I got it. However, it applies as the most perfect flush of color. It's very natural looking, and actually applies, as others have said, as a slightly browned rosy shade. I have 2 other Becca blushes, and this one seems to last a bit better than the others. The price is gaggingly expensive for what you get. Unlike some others, I do adore the spaceship packaging of Becca - I don't carry it with me so space is not a consideration to me. I'm Stila C-D (more c than d) and MAC NC25-30, and it's a very good shade for me!

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - 5 Colour Eyeshadow - Elegante 553

I'm a fool for beautifully neutral shadows, and thought this would be perfect. It looked it in the pan, but even on my NC25 skin, the 4 lightest shades look alike! It's not that they disappear, there's just no difference in them on. :( The quality is typical Dior, tho - outstanding! They're almost creamy smooth to apply, and they have *JUST* the right amount of shimmer for me! I wept as I packed it up to send back.... If you are -very- fair, and want a set of everyday shadows, this is what you need!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Magic Night
rated 5 of 5

Wow... this is beautiful! It *is* a bit deceptive tho... It looks like a very nice, rather browned-plum shade, with a lot of shimmer. Oddly, the shimmer -seems- to disappear upon application, until you get it into the light, and then the most glorious plum sheen appears! It's not over the top, and not FROSTY - just a very nice sheen of plum over a brown/plum base. Awesome. Nicely pigmented, I'm NC25 and need to be a bit careful or it's too heavy for me,so I think most anyone could wear this! just a lovely, lovely color, and one which can be worn in any season! Actually, kinda struck me as more of a fall shade, but I wear what I feel like when I feel like, and leave the seasonal stuff to the companies! :) I tried to get a pic of this in the review, but can't seem to manage it, but there's a pic from Temptalia in my profile. http://img.makeupalley.com/0/1/2/4/1175753.JPG

Eye Primer -Laura Geller - Eye Spackle
rated 4 of 5
kimk 12/16/2008 4:54:00 PM

"Spackle" isn't really a fair name for this stuff. It's not nearly as thick as spackle, but it is a good primer. it's on the pale side, and it not only primes the lid, it also helps hide discolorations, so if you're more than probably a MAC nc 30, you'd want to test this out first to see if it makes you look ghostly. It really works as a primer - keeps shadows from sliding and creasing, and it's actually quite easy to apply, even tho it appears very thick in the pot. my mom gave me a small eye/lip spackle duo from a QVC kit, so I don't have the full size, and I don't know how long it will last, but this is very good stuff!

Hair -Aussie - Moist 2-in-1
rated 3 of 5
kimk 12/9/2008 11:01:00 AM

This is a *very* conditioning 2 in 1. It's really too much for my hair, which is colored, and hot tool styled every day, and really a bit on the dry side. If you have very thick, coarse or badly damaged hair, I think this would rock your world. Smells devine, lathers wonderfully, but it's just a bit much for my hair. I'll still prolly use it up, but won't repurchase.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Extra Gentle Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
kimk 9/9/2008 11:53:00 AM

This is very much like cetaphil, BUT it takes makeup off much better! It's as gentle as cetaphil, unscented so far as I can tell, plain white, non foaming and wonderful! Comes in a pump dispenser which dispenses pretty much the right amount for me with 2 pumps. If you have dry or sensitive skin, this could be all you need. Soon's I use up the 4,876 bottles of cetaphil I have squirreled away, I may switch exclusively to this, and save myself the trouble of having a morning and nighttime cleanser.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 5 of 5
kimk 9/8/2008 5:25:00 PM

Bought this a week or so ago, and I'm lovin' it! I like it better than UDPP, which is pretty good, but it's a bit dry on my already dry lids. This is much better. It's kind wierd in that it really feels a bit oily going on, but let it sit a few seconds, and it's perfection in a tube! I don't think I could get my shadows to crease with this. If you liked UDPP, but have dry lids, and felt UDPP was a lid(le) dry, try the Shadow Insurance. Btw, the SI package is *light years* better - just a plain ol' squeeze tube. :)

Polishes -Sinful - Dancing Nails
rated 5 of 5
kimk 8/14/2008 2:56:00 PM

Just bought this at Walgreens BOGOF!! It's a very shimmery deepish rose-without-being-too-pink shade. not garish at all on, but not natural either. I like it VERY much! Like apparently all Sinful polishes, it's a bit thick, but a few drops of thinner takes care of that! Wish they had a mixing ball, but for the sheckels, it can't be beat!

Fragrances -Kuumba Made - Oriental Musk
rated 5 of 5
kimk 8/13/2008 2:36:00 PM

Wow.... this is really nice on me! I have to take all fragrance reviews with a grain (or pound) of salt because fragrances all morph differently on different people. On me, this one starts out as a straight-up musk, nice, but nothing special. Then in a few minutes it starts to waft off some lovely floriental notes along with the musk, and it just becomes very very nice and soft, without being powdery on me. (HATE,HATE,HATE powdery scents!) This is dirt cheap, smells nice, and isn't headache inducing on me. Can't beat it with a stick!

Polishes -China Glaze - Spontaneous
rated 5 of 5
kimk 8/7/2008 11:22:00 AM

Just used Spontaneous last night. Lovely color! It's a medium dark lavender creme. Applies like a dream - takes 2 coats, but then I think everything does. With 2 coats it's exactly the shade in the bottle. Nice and shiny when it dries. If you want a really fun/cool look, try putting Pure Ice "Busted" over the top. It's a glittery sheer purple, and it looks fab with Spontaneous! :)

Fragrances -Ava Luxe - Heart of Glass
rated 5 of 5
kimk 8/7/2008 11:15:00 AM

Oh wow.... I REALLY like this. I have just a sample of it, but thus far it's a skin scent, so don't expect this to be wowing anyone but you, unless they're clsoe to you. :) I get a lot of musk in this, but that's ok b/c musk seems to suit my skin. There's a floral softness to it, without screaming FLOWERS! It's not really sweet, but soft without being powdery (I HATE powdery scents - they literally give me headaches) This is an awesome skin scent. I could wear this everyday and not tire of it. Not that I'll do that, mind you, but when my sample is gone, I just may splurge on a full sized bottle!

Polishes -China Glaze - Limbo Bimbo
rated 5 of 5
kimk 7/16/2008 2:19:00 PM

OMG - this is the perfect screaming fucshia pink I've been looking for! It's got definite but still kinda subtle pink and either blue or purple-ish shimmer to it, so it's got depth to the color. Application was quite good, tho maybe a tetch draggy. Two coats produced the shade you see in the bottle. It's been pedi'd for 5 days thus far, and with a SH topcoat, it still looks like new! Awesome stuff!

Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
kimk 5/20/2008 10:38:00 AM

cavewoman's review is spot on. If you have dry skin, I'd pass on this. It's just not made for dryer skins. If you have combo skin, I think it'd be da BOMB. Colorwise, I'm MAC nc25-30, and I found it to be nearly perfect! It really does adjust nicely to your skintone - still freaks me out to see white lotion coming out of the tube! :D I give it a 4 for price - yes, it's about $13, but it *is* ds, and it's pricey for ds stuff.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Trio - Earth Brown
rated 5 of 5
kimk 5/14/2008 3:24:00 PM

Finally found these at an out of the way Walgreens. This is the only one I bought, and the colors are lovely! There's a slighly shimmery cream/palepalepale yellow, a slightly shimmery pinkish flesh color, and the darkest shade appears to my eye to have an oh-so-slight greenish cast to the dark chocolate brown color. They apply and wear as easily as the rest of WnW's shadows do (i.e., superbly) and this trio really makes blue eyes POP!! Hustle and find this trio before it's gone!

Primer/ Corrector -Revlon - Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
rated 4 of 5
kimk 5/14/2008 12:28:00 PM

This, like cavewoman said, is Revlon's newest primer, and it really does beat the others hands down! I agree with everything she said, but thought I'd list the ingredients in it, since I can focus on the fly speck print well enough right now to read (most of)it! :D Now, mind you, the ingredients are on the shrink wrap, so they're hard to read in places, but this is what I can decipher: Trisiloxane, Deimethicone, Cyclomethone PEG/PPG-19/19, water, glycerine, Dimethicone/Silsequioxane Copolymer, alcohol denatured, watermelon fruit extract, apple fruit extract, avocado fruit extract, Euterpe oleracea fruit extract, tocopheryl acetate, ammonium polyacryloyomethyl taurate, saccharomyces/zinc ferment, saccharomyces/silicon ferment,saccharomyces/potassium ferment, polysorbate 20, polysorbate 80, silica sulfate, fragrance, limonene, capryltl glycol 1,2-hexaneal 21357
